DannyCappy | It is common to have a sun in 7th house on synastry?Or usually people don't marry "their 7th house"? If you have planets in 7th house. It gives you clues about the person?
|
HelixID | You will often find the Asc ruler of one person conjunct or in the same sign as the Dsc of the other person. Or the Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars or Asc ruler conjunct the Dsc ruler of the other person.I personally have my Dsc in Libra and I haven't been attracted to a Libra Sun yet but often to people whose Asc ruler is conjunct my Dsc and I like Virgo people a lot because my Dsc ruler Venus is there. |
Aries23Degrees | The 7th house to me is the partnership. And it represents what one looks for in a partner, the type of personality the partner is likely to have. Depending on the planet there, that is the suggested nature of the partner Venus-Easy going but also self-conscious,passive and vain. This esp when Venus is in Libra/Taurus. Pluto-Serious nature, very committed. But also difficult to figure out, has many secrets & may have suspicious nature. Mars-passionate,demonstrative. But also stubborn, hard to predict ,single minded and sporadic. If there is a stellium, watch out for someone who is likely to make decisions unilaterally. They remain their own person. Sun,Mars,Pluto and Uranus there are especially testing for partnerships. It can be a very consuming thing to be with that person.

Do you mean they may have the traits but not the respective sun sign? Those examples about the planets were pretty cool.

Aries23Degrees | Yes. It doesn't necessarily have to be the Solar position that is there but the qualities. You could date a Pisces with Saturn in Libra(exalted) conjunct Moon in Libra for instance. Perhaps even a parallel connection between Venus and the Asc Notice passivity, tendency towards charm and love of ease when Venus is prominent in the chart. A sweet tooth or a love of easy, good life socializing with people and parties. You dealing more with a Mars person if there are periodic disagreements with loved ones, a need to break away from ties, passionate expressive nature, tendency to fly solo and make few friends. Not all of us marry the person who has their Sun in pur 7th house. But we can readily commit ourselves to someone who shows qualities that we want in a partner(7th). |
etherealsaturn | I'm married to a Cancer Sun. My 7th house cusp is ruled my Scorpio and there Pluto and Venus chilling. So, no it's not always exactly the sign on the cusp. But it shows that I'm attracted to powerful, deep and emotional people. Probably because I lack that watery depth in my own chart. With my Sag Venus there, I want to be around people who want to have fun etc. |

So your Pluto is in Sag conjunct Venus? What is the Asc ruler of your partner and in which sign is it? |
Southern Sun | What about Jupiter on the cancer cusp? People say this is lucky, but I have only ever attracted losers... May be that it has something to do with Ruler of my 7th (moon) being in 12th... |
Koniucha | Gemini rules my 7th house and I have my Cancer moon there :_( |
etherealsaturn | @HelixID No, I don't have that aspect. I may have made that confusing...My 7th house cusp is Scorpio. Pluto in Scorpio and Venus is in Sag, but in the 7th house. |
HelixID | @etherealsaturn thanks for clarifying and where is the Asc ruler of your partner? |
Randall | Bump! |
colorful butterfly | Pisces is my 7th house cusp but also has Aries mainly there. Neptune is the ruler of my 7th located in my 3rd house. |
racole12 | I have my DSC in Sag conj Mars (11th house ruler)... with My Jupiter in Leo/2nd house and my Jupiter is Rx. I'm 38 and 4 guys I have been in serious relationships with have been guys that are: High energy (mars) Not from where I live... they are usually implants (DSC in Sag), highly active/like to travel/into education The Leo part: they are all musicians or music professors 2nd house: can be related to a talent they have that they get paid for (like being a musician) The Rx: they are known to be introverted 11th house (my Mars in the 7th ruler): I usually meet them in a group activity like a music ensemble I'm playing in and then they become my best friend for 6-12 months before dating. lol I have never had anybody's planets in my 7th (I have too much Sag energy and I don't need more)... my 7th house ruler is usually in some kind of hard aspect to their sun ot moon... or their Venus is in aspect to my Asc and Mars. (And a lot of times their 1st or 7th house ruler or Sun is in aspect to my ASC/Mars in the 7th). They don't have to be a conjunction... the aspect is always within a 2 degree orb for me. |

vertiver | It seems black and white to indicate that we will be with someone that has something in their chart that is the same as their DESC sign. For example: I have Gemini Desc or 7th H cusp, whatever you want to call it. And I've dated a Gem Sun/Venus/ASC - that didn't work out, a Gemini Moon conjunct my DESC no less - that didn't work out and a went on a couple of dates with another Gem sun and that didn't work. What I've realized is look at the ruler of your 7th H cusp. In my case it is Mercury which is in Leo in the 8th H conjunct the Sun and trine Mars, sextile Jupiter and square Pluto. All this indicates is I am attracted far more to fiery types or scorpionic types - I crave more intense partners than my airy Gemini 7th cusp would suggest if you take things at face value |
