T O P I C R E V I E WsocialgraffitiIn spirit of the New Moon coming up:I would say I'm an extremist in everything I do, especially when it comes to my interactions with other people. For those that I've had prolonged negative interaction with, I harbor a lot of resentment and disgust for those individuals. I hold grudges for a long time, and until recently I attributed that habit to seeing their actions as betrayal. However, it's exhausting to feel so much hatred towards a couple of people. I think it's time for me to let the past go and move on with my life. Intellectually I know this, but intuitively, instinctively, and emotionally I have no idea where to start.Advice? Barbiegirl19Hi, socialgraffiti That is exhausting. My advice would be to first start with yourself. Forgive yourself for harboring so much hate and distaste. Negativity only feeds more negativity. Allow as much time as you need to really relax and get your head together. Then forgive them. You don't have to do it directly, saying it to yourself works like a charm. Forgiveness allows us to finally move on from a situation. You have to let it go if you want to move on. Holding on to so much negativity only fuels it and ruins your mood and makes you miserable. You should never allow anyone to make you feel so crappy. You are the only person in control of you. ValentineBarbie is right, Negative thoughts will only affect you.
