T O P I C R E V I E WI'm so cappyCan antiscia experts tell me how they view them and give some examples from their synastries?I calculated these points for my synastry and I got stuff like:his AP to my natalASC conjunct Venus 2ASC conjunct NN 4Sun opposite Uranus 3Moon conjunct Vertex 2Moon square Pluto 2Mercury opposite Mercury 0Mars opposite Saturn 1 conjunct SN 3 conjunct Chiron 0 Uranus conjunct Venus 2Pluto conjunct DSC 3my AP to his natalMercury opposite Mercury 0Venus conjunct ASC 2Venus conjunct Uranus 2Mars conjunct NN 0Saturn opposite Mars 3Uranus opposite Sun 3Pluto square Moon 2DSC conjunct Pluto 3NN conjunct ASC 4Is it normal to have so much mirroring???------------------I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy.CeridwenAntiscia are POINTS, not ranges though. 1 degree orb, 1°30 max. Also they are always mutual. if your Venus is on the antiscion of his ASC, then his ASC will be on the antiscion of your Venus - same aspect. Deliciously, too.So of your list I would consider only these as antisciaASC-VenusMoon-Vertex (wide orb)Mercury-MercuryMars-SaturnMars-ChironUranus-Venus (wide orb)Not sure about Pluto-DESC, 3 degrees is too wide for an antiscion, but maybe the DESC is not totally exact?Antiscia are actually in strong astronomical relations to parallels, so it makes sense to use the same orb as with declination aspects. And yes, I think I do feel them strongly. like a subtle undertow. An intrigue that is hard to grasp. It is the feeling of "something" even though you can`t quite put your finger on it.I once had a thread on these on here. I will see if I may find it. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/018644.html AubyanneI concur. Heck, it was you, Ceri, that clued me into the fact that his MARS is on the contrascia of my VENUS. D'oh!CeridwenWell I got reminded of my dream-astro-guide (jep i apparently have a man discussing astrological things with me in dreams, occasionally. Usually pointing out what I am missing or hinting to where I should direct my attention: these dreams are not every week or so, but they do happen).Recently he pointed out to to me the importance of the most elevated planet in a chart, but not talking about the MC, instead referring to the one highest up in declination. And when I was frowning, I heard him sigh: "You ALWAYS forget the importance of declinations. They are VITAL. They are DETERMINATIVE. Why do you think they are just an unnecessary addition, if it is them, determining the seasons, and when it is them which determine the moment of the solar festivals - Beltane, samhain, and the other ones- ?)Yeah, I admit I always forget the delcinations. And I am never sure how clear and direct in expression they really are. Of course the antiscia/ contrascia are closely tied to the declinations as well. As planets on antiscia are on the exact position where the light of the Sun is the same, the Sun?s declination. Just that he Sun was triggering the one planet on its way up to the top of declination, and the other on its way back. So they reflect the light of the Sun.That is the reason why if you have antiscia with Sun or the angles, they will also be parallel each other. (not necessarily true for the other planets, as it depends if the planet is on the ecliptic or not)CeridwenWhen rereading what I wrote some years ago, I found it interesting that I mentioned the effect of antiscia being "vertical", cause that is actually what the declinations are, as they describe how a planet moves up and down on the band of the eccliptic, instead of moving horizontally along the band the 360°.I found it interesting that I called it "vertical", because at that point I really had no clue aobut the relations between declinations and antiscia and especially not about the astronomical workings behind it. I meant it symbolically of course, something rising up from the core of the psyche or subconsciousness, coming to awareness, without the person having really known it was there in the first place. But it seems fitting, the symbolism as well as of course the astronomical reality. For this reason I suppose that I was not that far off with what I have been writing, even though I had no real clue back then. lolBlind writer@Ceri, how'd you interpret contra/antiscia points for JUNO?
