Taineberry | I just noticed something really strange. My father's moon is conjunct my husband's moon. Orb 0.18 (VERY close conjunction). Did I marry my daddy? Eeek. I find this quite creepy. Has anyone else noticed a moon conjunction in their father's and husband's charts? BTW, by husband and father never got on well, which is odd ... considering that their emotional responses are identical. |
libraschoice77 | Most of my boyfriends, or guys I have been involved with have had a fire moon or water moon, my two fathers(real dad, and step dad) which I have never been close to either have Virgo and Aqua Moon. My hubby and love of my life has a Sag Moon. I guess mabe it makes a difference if your close to your father or not to make that influence count. |
Taineberry | As I grew up I developed strong negative feelings towards my dad, although my mother hero-worshipped him. With my husband, at first I idolised him, but as time goes on I feel hard pressed to cope with his emotional nature. Both men are very emotionally reactive... Husbands moon at 20Aries11; fathers at 20Aries29 Sabian :PHASE 21 (ARIES 21°): A PUGILIST ENTERS THE RING. KEYNOTE: The release and glorification of social aggressiveness. Here we find potency glorified as muscular strength and will-to-power. Because it is potency operating at a harshly competitive level, it can and often does imply the possibility of defeat or disfiguration. In one sense the symbol translates into social terms the primordial struggle for survival of the fittest, adding to it an eagerness for social fame and social power (i.e. money). In another sense, the ring with two fighters in it can be referred to the Tai Chi symbol and the interplay between Yang and Yin. Each of the two types of energy wins in turn. Victory is always temporary in a dualistic world. This is the first stage of the fifth five-fold sequence of cyclic phases. Potency and the two-fold possibilities inherent in any release of power are seen operating at the socio-cultural and emotional level. The symbol reveals man's deeply rooted feeling of admiration and envy for whoever can generate OVERWHELMING POWER. Seriously this is a shocking personal revelation for me. It is so horribly predictable. Also: with my dad I have His sun conjunct my moon (exact) His moon inconjunct my moon His moon sextile my sun His sun inconjunct my sun With my husband His sun quintile my moon His moon inconjunct my moon His moon sextile my sun His sun square my sun. A bit too close for comfort, wouldn't you say?

hikoro | @taineberry that is so amazing, as in, unique, those similarities. but, seems it is hard. |
Taineberry | It..is...very...difficult! I can't believe I did this to myself. |

Too close, makes me wonder about a FATHER and HUSBAND asteroid.

did you ever made peace with your dad, or did those negative feelings lingered up to the time you met your husband? |
Taineberry | No, through most of my married life I could hardly bear to be in the same room as my father. I was respectful to him always, but inside I was screaming. It is only in the last few years when he has become chronically sick that I have found it in my heart to forgive him and treat him with compassion. |

i see. well....lots of hugs. patterns like that are scary, since they seem to be very common. any sibs who ended up in a similar situation astrologically or practically? |
Taineberry | No, my brother seems to have escaped the pattern, mercifully. Another thing - all 3 of us... Dad, husband and me share the same sun/moon aspect in our individual charts... Sun Inconjunct Moon. Thanks for the hugs; I'm feeling a bit shattered. |

depth | my dad - Gem sun Gem mercury Taurus moon Taurus ascendant Cancer venus Capricorn saturn Scorpio jupiter Scorpio descendant --- Leo marsMy partner - Gem moon Gem mercury Taurus sun Taurus jupiter Cancer venus Capricorn saturn Scorpio pluto Pluto in the 7th --- Aquarius mars My partner should've been born to my dad, in my place They're so much like each other. Even things that he says reminds me of my dad. I think this is common. The sun and mars in a woman's chart show the kind of partner she attracts and is attracted to. Houses and planetary aspects add a second and a third layer and make the attraction theory a bit complicated. But the base still remains. And in astrology, the sun and mars also represent the father. |
Taineberry | Wow, I see this is very real, not just co-incidence. I guess it helps if you and dad had a great relationship to start with. It seems really important for all dad's with daughters to bear in mind that their legacy might repeat on their daughter in their choice of marriage partners. To Fathers: LOVE YOUR DAUGHTERS AND TREAT THEM WELL, or they might end up subconsciously choosing someone who will treat them badly in the long run, just like you did. |
YoursTrulyAlways | My wife's moon closely conjuncts mine. |

Holy Potato!! Same for me! They both have Taurus Moons... What??! I have never realised that until i read this thread. |
Chirp | None of the guys I've been involved with really have a chart anywhere close to my dad's - my dad has a gigantic stellium in Cancer; he's almost ALL Cancerian. The guys I date usually have a lot of placements in Virgo or Leo or Gemini or Pisces. |
