T O P I C R E V I E WMonteCristoI don’t want this as a personal reading, but more of as a way to understand how I can have this many “passion” and “love” aspects with someone and not feel attracted to them whatsoever. We have been friends for nine years now, and I’ve never had the desire to be anything more. How is this possible! RandallMoving this to Interpersonal Astrology.MonteCristoThanks, Randall!livvywatermonkeyAre you the inside person Monte Cristo?I’m wondering if it’s cos there are few hard aspects between outer & inner planets, & the intensity of the Pluto opposition to the Venus/Mercury/Sun/Moon stellium could be softened by the Jupiter conjunction ...I think hard aspects between outer & inner planets provide friction/fascination, they could work well in terms of creating desire, the desire to “pull in” the other person or be pulled in by themMonteCristoYes, I am inside. It just baffles me because we both have 7th house overlays, even in the composite. You’d think this would be more than just a friendship 🤔And perhaps you’re right, the lack of hard aspects between inner and outer planets. But there are hard aspects between Mars, which I thought would have a stronger effect.livvywatermonkeyMaybe the answer is in your natal charts - you both have natal Venus conjunct Mercury, maybe you understand each other very well & communicate harmoniously, so there is no “bridge to cross”, or barrier to overcome, as it is sometimes obstacles, not harmony, which create desire/attraction/chemistryMonteCristoHmmm that’s an interesting point. I hadn’t seen attraction in that way before—as obstacles to overcome which provides the desire. Interesting.julyjulyYou really have an amazing synastry chart with 3/4 planets in the other persons 7th house, harmonious aspects between the personal planets, Mars square Venus and opposite Moon which is very passionate etc. I think the reason is that you two are too alike. You have four of your personal planets in Leo and Moon in Taurus. You have your asc in Libra but lack planets in the air signs and except for Pluto you don't have any planet in the water signs. I wonder if you are more attracted to persons who have air or/and water signs?MonteCristoIt’s baffling, isn’t it, with a synastry like that?!I do love Aquarians perhaps the most, and I find myself always in relationships with Aries, as well as some Scorpios (although those scorpions need to have some fire in their charts). Maybe you’re right, we’re too alike? He is really my best male friend. I know he’s had a crush before but I acted like I had no idea and never budged an inch so that died down quickly. We’ve been friends for about nine years.Perhaps the answer lies in the composite? But even that looks good to me. julyjulyYou have a great composite too . The answer may be that Mars who rules desires, passion, sex is almost unaspected, it only makes a wide square to the Sun (9 degrees) and a wide square to Neptune (7 degrees). Your Saturn is also almost unaspected, it makes just a wide square to Jupiter. MonteCristoAnd in addition, there is no Pluto connection with Venus or Mars, which I generally really love. So weird that despite all of the good aspects and placements, there’s no spark!
