T O P I C R E V I E WMMarieHi all! I just realized all of my closet friendships/ relationships growing up, my sun/moon conjunction is unaspected in synastry or only has very minor aspects. Is this because my sun/moon is afflicted in my natal by a square to mars by 2 degrees? Maybe I don’t like it triggering the square so I stay away from people who aspect them? I would think having sun and moon contacts in synastry are very important and that in missing those I am not truly myself in the relationship or missing some kind of intimacy? Does anyone else notice that in their own chart with afflicted planets? mee_chryssaI can only be fine with easy aspects to my afflicted planets. Any hard aspects makes it more difficult.MMarie quote:Originally posted by mee_chryssa:I can only be fine with easy aspects to my afflicted planets. Any hard aspects makes it more difficult.Hi! Thanks for chiming in! So you only like trines or sextiles to your afflicted planets? Do you have any close relationships with those planets unaspected? Which planets are they? mee_chryssa quote:Originally posted by MMarie: Hi! Thanks for chiming in! So you only like trines or sextiles to your afflicted planets? Do you have any close relationships with those planets unaspected? Which planets are they? They are not unaspected. They are just bad aspected with only hard aspects. I have Venus and Mercury in hard aspects. Usually the planets that are most aspected in my relationships are Sun, Moon, Neptune, ASC, Chiron. A few times were Mars, Venus, mercury, or Saturn. Saturn usually is just in hard aspect and there are 1 or 2 aspects. I think those are not the most important planets in your chart and that's why you don't really receive many aspects to them.LibrapurrHikaru29I've a t-square in my natal. Mars in Pisces square Moon in Sagittarius and Venus in Gemini. I don't seem to feel attracted to Piscean people. My guy friend who was flirting with me has Pisces Venus but I don't reciprocate the attraction. I've attracted several Sagittarius Sun but I don't reciprocate their romantic feelings as well. They always somehow managed to offend me. But I'm ok with people with other personal planets/angles in Sag. I know several Gemini Moon people which conjunct my Venus. Tricky relationship...sometimes we're great but sometimes I cannot stand their flippant manner. So all in all it's tricky when someone places a personal planet on my t-square. But I seem ok with Virgos. This may be due to my IC in Virgo or because their Virgo planet completes my t-square into a grand cross. People say grand cross is tension but so far I get along with all the Virgos around me, even those that are known to be difficult. My guy is also a Virgo Sun/Mercury.MMarie quote:Originally posted by mee_chryssa: They are not unaspected. They are just bad aspected with only hard aspects. I have Venus and Mercury in hard aspects. Yeah I guess it’s not that important but considering sun is my chart ruler and moon is conjunct (both in 1st) you would think it is important? Hmmm just very weird haha but thanks for the input! Glad you brought up the Tsquare situation. My sun/moon square mars and also squares Pluto (very wide) but enough for it to show as a T square when drawing up my chart on Astrodienst. I once was dating some with Mars in Aqua that made it a Grand cross but I was just uncomfortable in their presence. It’s interesting that it works for you. Maybe the IC is enough to make a difference for you or maybe the fact your Tsquare is in mutable signs, the oppositions and squares aren’t as harsh as in fixed? I was just kinda shocked that in most my BEST friends synastries that my sun/moon was unaspected not one major aspect only minor sesiquadrate (black dotted lines?) and quincunxes. With another it does square Jupiter but that’s it. I’m also curious what’s your guys moon sign? Does it have any soft aspects with your Tsquare? MoonMysticMarie ~(going to think out the aspects) I'm going to go on a limb and say that in order to feel connected to another in any situation really, there has to be some resistance and/or coarse energy. In relationships that are not romantic, it is teaching how to work through the coarse energy. In romantically involved people, it's like this: http://youtu.be/k4V3Mo61fJM We come together with someone in terms of love, a bit like ordering the base level car. No bells or whistles but a very nice foundation. Unknowingly we all somehow tweak the other in someway. Ruining the recent settings of them- to say past lover they had. Now you've modified them to your car (metaphorical item of course). They have a few coarse areas, you'll have to tolerate or help modify. A squeaky seat, either it becomes a normal and you (or they) adapt or something is adjusted to remedy the issue. The squares in the chart are these type nuisances. Without these tough aspects we wouldn't learn from others as well. Good experience and smooth aspects aren't teaching moments. Unfortunately it can be uncomfortable. Yet much wisdom comes from them.Hikaru29 quote:Originally posted by MMarie: Thanks Hikaru! Glad you brought up the Tsquare situation. Yeah it could be that mine’s in mutable and mainly involved feminine/gentle planets (Venus/Moon/Neptune) but it still doesn’t explain why it doesn’t work when certain planets sit on my t-square i.e. in the signs of Pisces/Sag/Gemini. Oh and I noticed yours involved strong, masculine planets so that could be why it doesn’t feel as good for you?My guy has Libra Moon Leo Venus which trine/sextile my Moon/Venus/Neptune, forming a cradle pattern. I believe this is why our connection feels sweet and loving. I always feel like hugging & kissing him even when he makes me mad. His Virgo Sun/Mercury completes my grand cross. My ex also has Moon/Venus trine my Moon/Neptune. It felt sweet too but much less intense. His Virgo Mars completes my grand cross.
