T O P I C R E V I E WAries23DegreesAs the Moon in Cancer,I feel that someone who has Sun in Cancer likes to project their emotions (or what they dont want to express openly) on to me.This is especially when their Sun is close in aspect to my Moon i.e they often look at me like I am supposed to "feel" on their behalf. An ex-flatmate had his Sun in Cancer widely conj my Moon. And once we watched a doc about a paedophile who was caught and the victims testifying at court.Admittedly it was a heavy doc to watch as the testimonies were quite intense & emotional and when he saw me concentrating,he would often say isht like "dont cry about it now" OR " you are such a girl about this " etc. In actual fact, i didnt have that emotional response to the doc and was thinking mostly (internally) about what trauma the children will have to work through to have normal lives. No tears on my end in sight(not that i was ashamed of crying either)I think HE wanted to cry about it. But seeing that I was not, he thought i would judge him and therefore redirected his express need to cry on to me.Like he didn't want to be the "girl". :rollseyes:This also happened with another Cancer Sun acquaintance (Sun also widely conjunct my Moon) who sent me a text about not being invited to some party I didn't care for(He wasn't invited too and I guess he really wished to go).In his text he was like "I heard you didn't get an invite to **blank** party.I know it really hurt bad.Don't be sad okay?"My response was "I am not sad. We weren't tight like that at all" to which he responded with "I know you will not admit it hurts. It's cool" .I was like... Again, I think this Cancer was projecting his own emotions on to me and wanting me to express what he felt. I could actually feel (through the message)hat it was HE who was sorely disappointed about being excluded.I wasn't at all investedHave you guys experienced this?I wondered if this was at all unique to the Sun aspect to my Moon? So I watched the way I interact with another Moon in Sag.Would I project stuff on to them in the same way?I caught myself saying to them "I know that you are thinking of...." and sometimes "I think what you really meant to say was....." etc. This particular Moon didn't disagree with me though on both fronts. He admitted that I phrased his thoughts well. That that was "exactly" what he wanted to say etc.And so I wondered if indeed with the previous Cancer people;were they right on the money? Was I really disguising or playing down feelings that were there but didn't want to express? What do you guys think? Can people with Sun conj your Moon "read" your underlying thoughts? Or perhaps can you "read" the thoughts of those who have their Moon conjunct your Sun?Do you think its projecting or an intimate relationship of "knowing" because of the conjunction? RandallBump!hearttreasureMy ex's Sun conjunct my Moon, NO, we both never experienced projection like that. (My Sun trine his Moon also, no Moon/Moon aspect, it's Fire/Air, sextile by sign). But, he often shocked how I could phrase his thoughts exactly in a softer and understandable way to other people when he felt misunderstood. He called me "his soulmate/other half" (I think its his Gemini moon/venus feels finally find the missing twins). My Sun has the same sign as my Dad's Moon, NO, we both don't do any projection, but sometimes I feel my Dad understand me better than any without me explain too much. My husband's Sun sextile my Moon, yes, he often projects his emotions on to me, which I absolutely don't feel the same thing as his. (no Moon/Moon aspect also, it's Fire/Earth, square by sign) . It's similar to your experience, we watched emotional movie and he would be the one who wanted to cry but he told me "don't cry" and I was like "what? I don't" and he would always say "no, I know that you want to cry, come here, don't cry, don't" while in my mind I thought it was him trying to calm his own emotions down by doing that to me because I don't feel emotional at all. At first I thought he was a weirdo, but later I realize it's a projection to hide his own emotions. Sometimes it's kind of annoying after in a long term relationship since he will project anything he hides on to me, not just emotions.I don't think it's Sun/Moon connection. Must see their own natal chart for the tendency to do a projection or maybe there's some psychological aspect to it. charlieI’m a Cancer Sun/Cap Moon. I don’t have any problems with Cap energy, whatsoever, but another Cancer touching my Sun feels “icky” to me. I can’t really explain it in any other words. The only Cancer I seem to get along with is Cancer Mars. Mystic~MelodyI believe they sense your emotion but express it in a way they understand. The emotional sensing is the moon connection but the communication is based on their understanding. So, a Cancer woman with an understanding of psychology, her own emotional nature, higher wisdom etc might say, "I can sense how strongly this documentary effects you" but a dude friend senses something and says, "oh you're about to cry". In the case of the party, you might be worried about your friend's reaction so he thinks you are worried about also not being invited. Like the emotional sensing is real but the REASON they believe you are having the emotion is what they are projecting. They feel something coming from you, but interpret it wrong and according to their best guess and best psychological diagnosis (which just happens to be sub-par). It's like with you, and only you and other Cancer moons, they are an "intuitive for a day" but they are such a novice and beginner that they interpret according to how they THINK you might feel based on their own thoughts or experiences, instead of investigating your emotions and thoughts first before offering their interpretation. GalacticCoreExplosion By their very nature and core symbolism, the Moon is very unconscious and the Sun is very conscious. From that, one would expect a tendency of the Lunar person to unconsciously project onto the Sun person, or be unaware of certain things, while the Sun person would tend to be more consciously aware. And if you get into the really deep metaphysical layers/levels of it all, the Sun is actually an extremely "psychic" symbol, but slightly tipped to the Yang manifesting/sending side than the Yin receptive/receiving side.. Strange but true statement. You need to understand the deeper nature and meaning of Love to understand it.
