In places like Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, etc... where millions of money have poured into solving homelessness, the issue has only gotten worse. There are number of things that could be done. If you are a homeless addict, then you get into rehab. If you are homeless because you lack housing or lost your housing, then you go into a shelter, but know that this is going to be a temporary solution and not a way of life. There should be work training and/or work placement program working with shelter organizations. Let's pour money into making shelters safer, and in work programs, and in addiction programs. If you want to live in your car, fine! I lived in my car for a few weeks when I was homeless. But the streets is not your home to set up camps in!
