T O P I C R E V I E WSDragonNot sure if such a word exists, but has anyone else tried this life style? There's so much information/disinformation that says it's good/bad, just wanted other people's experience. So far, it's been about November since I've gone all vegan (with periods of eating meat products), but mostly vegan. I'm not sure I can say I tell a huge difference but I have gotten thinner and some dry patches on my skin. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.Feel free to share your thoughts and experiences. I'm still learning to balance the diet as I know even going vegan if not done correctly can be bad for you.ValentineYou would probably find it easier to try being a vegetarian first, as to go from eating meat to being vegan is rather drastic.SDragonWell, actually I don't find it that difficult as I've always enjoyed natural foods even when I was younger. I gravitated to nuts and vegetables naturally and only found myself consuming milk/meats because of the proverbial beliefs that you need milk for calcium and meat for protein. But within the last 2 years my body has really started to reject meats and meat products in general. Eating bacon and eggs for breakfast would give me minor headaches and I can't even touch processed snacks (crackers, cookies, chips) anymore without dehydration and bowel movements being affected. I used to consume quite a bit of sugar when I was younger and am just hoping that I haven't permanently damaged my kidneys and I'm not sliding towards diabetes as I get older, but that's possible as well which is why my body can't process the meat products the way other people's can.SDragonHey! My teeth are becoming naturally white too! =) ValentineI believe that a vegetarian/Vegan diet is much healthier, As for sugar, it's best to keep it to a minimum, as it has no nutritional value. RandallTeeth remineralize with the right diet.
