Venus (7th) is afflicted in my chart, it is opposite Saturn RX and Uranus RX (1st). Venus is accidentally dignified in the 7th house, does that lessen the oppositions with Venus in the 7th (in Gemini)? Does anyone else have an afflicted Venus? Do you think you're tastes differ from that of the sign natal Venus is in, because of these afflictions? IP: Logged |

I have a similar Venus situation to yours:Mine is in the 10th square Saturn and Uranus which are in the 7th. But its exalted in Pisces. Venus, Saturn and Uranus are at the anaretic 29 degrees. I find that exaltations and dignities allow the planet to express itself more strongly, but it still doesn't necessarily ease the tension. They say with hard aspects you tend to identify with one planet or the other, and I think with a dignified Venus, you would identify with that and then project the Saturn/Uranus tension on other people. But that could just be my perception because my Saturn/Uranus are in my 7th which is the house you project anyway. IP: Logged |

Amowls, That sounds pretty accurate to me as well. What qualities would the opposition Saturn/ Uranus be projected on to other people? I would guess restriction while at the same time being Uranian and detached, but then again these planets are retrograde so the opposition could be internally projected, ouch! IP: Logged |

You could look at the midpoint of the planets that are in hard aspect including the sign and house placement to give you an idea how you can integrate the energies.the sabian symbol could help too I have Venus in 21'47 Scorpio in 3rd square Mars in 25'54 Aquarius in 6th my Venus is in alignment with Alpha Serpentis star, Unukalhai in 21'41 Scorpio Alpha Serpentis * Unukalhai Success followed by fall, suicide, insanity, accidents, success in war, politics, writing, problems in love, forgery, shipwreck, loss, earthquake Unfortunate Saturn/ Mars Notes. A pale yellow star situated on the neck of the Serpent. From Unk al Hayyah, the Neck of the Snake. Sometimes called Cor Serpentis, the Serpent's Heart (a snake's heart is located in its neck). [Robson*, p.213.] Influences: According to Ptolemy it is of the nature of Saturn and Mars; to Simmonite, of Saturn and Venus; to Pearce, of Saturn, Venus and Mars; and, to Alvidas, of Mars and Saturn in opposition to Venus. It gives immorality, accidents, violence and danger of poison. [Robson*, p.213.] In the Neck of the Serpent (Serpens), Unukalhai shows its properties as a Martian force combined with Saturn and is often really dangerous and destructive. There will be chronic diseases, which are not easily detected, these will result in a weakened state of health and operations will be necessary. There will be accidents. This is especially true with Uranus or with Neptune. The conjunction of the latter with Unuk will make the native prone to infectious diseases and also to poisoning. If with the MC and in conjunction also with 'malefics' it is damaging to the social position, often there will be many difficulties in the professional life. [Fixed Stars and Their Interpretation, Elsbeth Ebertin, 1928, p.67, under the name Unuk.] http://www.constellationsofwords.com/stars/Unukalhai.html Venus/Mars midpoint in 8'50 Capricorn in 4th the integration of love and passion in a serious, disciplined, practical, ambitious way in the domestic environment

Glaucus, how did you figure out that the Alpha Serpentis star was in alignment with your Venus? I've gotten really interested in fixed stars, but I don't know how to find them in relation to the natal chart. IP: Logged |

"Glaucus, how did you figure out that the Alpha Serpentis star was in alignment with your Venus? I've gotten really interested in fixed stars, but I don't know how to find them in relation to the natal chart."because Unukalhai is in 21'41 Scorpio in my chart, and my Venus is in 21'47 Scorpio. Therefore, they are in a close alignment. use no more than 1 degree for fixed stars you can find your fixed star placements here http://www.megadelfi.com/~jonathan/pos/
make sure that you put a check in the box that says All Fixed Stars.

Well for instance in my case, since my Venus is in Pisces, I tend to feel like I give too much and other people are either unreliable or cold, or both, even if that's not really the case. IP: Logged | |
