How important are parallel aspects in synastry? If parallels are like conjunctions how come I don't see more people reference the in synastry? I have a few parallel aspects with a guy Im interested in but Im not sure how much they count. I don't know if he is attracted to me just yet, but I notice his Venus is parrallel my ascendent, but in our regular synastry we don't have that. I heard that when a guy's Venus conjuncts a girls Ascendant he will find her to be attractive and like his ideal. Because Venus represents the kind of woman a guy is attracted to, as does the moon, and his moon also parrallels my ascendent. Ironically in our regular synastry my mars(what kind of man a girl finds attractive) tightly conjuncts his ascendent. I know I am attracted to him, and he is definitely my type. However, how much do parallels count? Do you think with his moon and venus parallel my ascendent it can show he would be attracted to me? I would like to know more about parallels, they are interesting but rarely talked about. How potent and important are they?We also have Venus-mars conjunction tightly aspect in our synastry, but we also have it parallel, when you have an aspect in synastry also parallel does that double the power of the aspect? ------------------ "I appreciate the masterpiece that is you, because your existence alone is art" "The fool who knows he is a fool Is that much wiser. The fool who thinks he is wise Is a fool indeed." "I look at you looking at me, now I know why they say the best things are free" IP: Logged |

I count parallels with an orb under 1—they are significant but they will not compensate for harsh or lack-of aspects. My intuition (Mercury in Pisces) reads them as a form of holographic energy, “a visibility” accessible only from the same angle of [orbital] inclination (physically). Only if you have the exact-minute natal birth time, there’s no use considering this or any synastry aspect to the angles...Parallels and Contra Parallels would be an important overlay considering the location of where/when someone is born (which is as specific and determined as a birth time) IP: Logged |

How do you know if you have the exact minute birth time? 1:28 and 5:23 would be exact minute right? If both birth times are exact and both aspects (ascendent parrallel moon and Venus) are under 1 degree orb it plays out just like a conjunction ? Because both aspects are under 1 degree orb, and in synastry there is already a lot of intense aspects. Im wondering if I can use those aspects as a regular conjunction. What I read up on them are is that if the woman is the ascendent and the guy is venus/moon he will see the girl as his ideal. Although I don't know how accurate that could be, but I do know both aspects are under 1 degree orb Im pretty sure both birth times and place are correct. I am not 100% about his but Im pretty sure they are exact, he even got a tattoo of his birthtime. As for me I got my birthtime from my birth-certificate. IP: Logged |

definitely consider declinations! My bf and I have venus/uranus exact parallel, and when I first saw it, (months after we were together, and I discovered declinations) I was like- ah-ha! This explains everything! granted it wasn't- omg I'm in love, but I saw flashing lights all around when we were talking for the first time (I'm Uranus and he's Venus) It was like I was stunned, I felt the significance, so yes yes yes it's a real thing! We also have an exact sun-moon opposition down to the minute, and Venus-moon exact trine, so there's some other factors playing, but the feelings I had right away was that parallel. It's unfortunate that astrologers don't give more attention to them. I have also read that declinations have more of a positive bent... Not sure if this is true, but after 2.5 years I still feel it... The electricity of love and chemistry!IP: Logged | |
