No. My mom was a Scorpio and my dad a Cancer. I'm an Aquarius. My ASC is Aries. This would hardly work in a family with 8 or 9 children. IP: Logged |

Doesn't check out for me or siblings. Both parents are Scorpios. My rising is Cancer.
My sister's is Aquarius.
My brother's is Virgo.

What about in the old days when there were 10 or 12 kids? My ASC is Aries and neither parent has it. My son has his Venus on my sun and my granddaughter has her Venus on her mom's sun. I wish I had the birth times of my parents, but I don't. I think there is always some planetary coincidence... not sure there is any set rule though. IP: Logged |

Yeah, this doesn't apply to my family either:Mom: Gemini
Dad: Libra Me: Virgo rising
Brother: Scorpio rising
I suspect if we had complimentary Sun-ASC signs, we would be a much happier family. 
-- Dad's dad: Aqua
Dad's mom: Virgo Dad: Cancer rising
Dad's twin sister: Leo rising
Dad's brother: Sag rising -- Mom's dad: Taurus
Mom's mom: Capicorn Mom: either Gem or Cancer rising
She has 5 siblings but I don't have birth times for any of them, unfortuantely.

Not exactly in my caseMy mom is a late gem at 26 and some odd degrees and my ascendant is cancer at 15 degrees. So she's almost a cancer but not quite IP: Logged |

Solar Gemini
Lunar Leo
Mom: Pisces ASC
Solar Cancer
Lunar Aquarius
Dad: Solar Virgo
But my sister is a double Virgo and my brother is a Lunar Aquarius. I was born on the Gemini-Cancer cusp though------------------

No, but you can look at their moon asc and sun placements to see if there are any patterns.My kids are both Virgo suns (I'm virgo sun).
The boy is Virgo rising with Libra moon (his father is Libra rising). The girl is Sagittarius rising (her dad has Sagittarius moon) and Aquarius moon (I'm Aquarius rising)  Idk my parents birth time so can't really do this w them. Although their sun signs are right on my 8/9/10th house cusp. Mom more towards 10th house and father 8/9th house. I noticed my mother's moon is in Cancer (my moon). IP: Logged |

I'm a Scorpio sun-virgo moon-gemini/cancer rising
My mom is a Virgo sun-cancer moon-pisces rising
My paternal father is a Libra-scorpio-gemini if I recall correctlyMy oldest sister has capricorn-pisces-leo My 2nd sister is aries-cancer-aries (not positive about her ascendant) We have different fathers. But yes, I can see the correlation. B-)

I noticed this about my chart. My dad is an Aquarius and my mom is a Leo. I'm Aquarius rising with my south node just 2 degrees from my ascendant, so my descendant and north node are both in Leo. IP: Logged |

My ascendent is Cappy-Aquarius.
(cause Capz ends within the first two degree of that house and the rest is all owned by Aqua)
(found my actual birth time recently)My mom and dad is neither a Cappy nor an Aqua.. My sun is in Virgo Eighth house And Moon in Leo seventh.
My mom is a Virgo with a Leo moon and Scorpio ascendant.
My dad is a Scorpio with a Gemini moon and a Leo ascendent.
Where my sun occupies in my birth chart is also where my mom's sun is and Eighth house can be seen as Scorpio = my dad's sun sign. There is also this trend in my family.
Both me and my mother has our moon in Leo.
Dad and my two brothers has their moon in Gemini.
(still moms boys- one has his moon in his first house and the other in his seventh) Growing under our parents shadows..
Also Dad's acscendant Leo is where our Moon is (me and mother). IP: Logged |
