I'm very close with my mom I think it's because our ascendants and suns trine. I'm a Libra sun and her ascendant is in Aquarius, and she's a Virgo sun and my ascendant is in Taurus. IP: Logged

bratkitty Newflake Posts: 4 From: Missouri Registered: Sep 2013	posted November 05, 2013 03:40 PM My ascendant isn't the same as either of my parent's suns, but I do notice specific patterns throughout my family with astrology: My mom, brother, grandfather and I all have Virgo rising. Also all of us except my mom were born on the 14th of our respective months. (A LOT of people in my family were born on either the 14th or 17th of any given month) My other brother and grandmother on my mom's side are born on the 17th (brother June 17 and grandma August 17). She's a Leo and my brother has Leo rising. My mom is a Capricorn with a Pisces moon. The brother with Virgo rising is a Pisces. Dad is a Leo with Scorpio moon and rising. Scorpio runs strong in his family, as does having fiery sun signs. I'm an Aries with heavy Scorpio in my chart (Mars, Saturn, Pluto). Grandma on my dad's side is an Aries with Scorpio moon. Lots of Aries and Leos in my family. We're a loud bunch. IP: Logged

Love Nebel No, unfortunately this just doesn't bear out more often than not. The reason is that tight connections can be made between your chart and your parents' charts in declination, totally apart from signs. For example, because Pisces and Libra both share the same degree range of south declination, planets in those signs can be Parallel each other. Parallels are just as strong as conjunctions. Planets in Pisces can be Contra-parallel those in Virgo and Aries, so your Moon in Pisces could be Parallel a parents' chart point in Libra and CP a parents' chart point in either Virgo or Aries. With Pluto and the Moon, the possibilities are a bit different because Pluto is not on the same orbital plane as the other planets, so it creates declination aspects from different signs. The Moon periodically goes to wider extremes for extended periods of times. So always check the declinations for synastry connections. My father's Moon is at 22 degrees. Strange.
