Soooooooooo interesting to hear what all of you have got to say. Makes me feel really understood at last. I used to use my moon to mantipulate people when I was younger I could get very spiteful at school. The power hungry scorpion sting in my tail I suppose. Don't really think think I was aware of my own power. I used to get very confused and pick up other people's emotions and think they were mine. The last few years I have spent alot of time alone getting in tune with my self my needs and desire's. I find it much easier now to work out what is my emotion and what belongs to some one else. I have Mars in Pisces which makes me even more sensitive. I am a nurse and I use my scorpion moon at work, I have the ability to know what my patient or family is feeling therefore I can get on their level and give them exactly what they need. It certainly is a precious gift, but I need to protect myself. Sometimes before I go out I visualise white light around me to protect me and blocking your solar Plexus are good tips when someone is getting to you.

I have recently found out that I am dsylexic
So do excuse the poor spelling and grammer, but like my scorpion moon I am learning to work with it..

Hi Divine,
Yes, I was quite uncontrollable at school, and in my teenage years, if only someone had explained it all to me in my youth, it could have saved me and others alot of stress

I think I have learned enormous amounts about "scorpio power " since learning about it through Astrology, and have made a conscious decision to use it far more positively nowadays, thank god

When used for good it's awesome!!!

I was impossible at home (Moon in the 4th), I was very mischievous and impossible to control and I used to literally terrorize my family. Now I don't do that anymore, but I'm still a rebel without a cause, something in me just won't rest until I do the exact opposite of what's expected of me.

Divine, I visualise a white light too, but around the people that I love and want to protect. For myself, I know I'll sense the danger ahead and avoid it, so I'm never really afraid that something will happen to me.

Morgana,

That is my exact thought's regarding the white light protection, and I'm constantly telling my kids not to worry about world events, because if they feel safe, and know they're safe, then I have no doubt that they will stay safe.

It's a comforting peice of magic!!!

Exactly!!

If you feel safe, nothing's gonna happen to you, that's a fact! My girlfriends always tell me how brave I am to walk through the park or woods alone at night, but it's not about bravery, it's just about knowing that nothing bad will happen to you and that's that. Bravery is when you're afraid and you overcome your fear.

Poops, it's great that you teach your children about these things!! Parents like you are so rare, at least as far as I know.

Hi to all of you and a warm hug to all the Scorpio Moons here. Me too, me too. I am just learning about the aspects of our moons in Scorpio and would love a little list of what you 'pros' find is the 'most indicative' of this placement.I have mine in the 10th house and it sextiles my Cappy Mars in my 1st house and it squares my Leo Pluto in the 8th. My guy is a Leo and he has a Cappy moon. He is trining ALL my Sag..the Sag is so outgoing..even tho it is in my 12th. Venus, Sun, Chiron and Asc.(sag/cap) Social but DO I EVER hide my feelings in Love. What do you think.. Love Flame. Why do I not say how I feel?Is it the Scorp Moon or the 12th house Sag stellium...??

Thanks so much Randall for sending that thread right now. I woke this morning thinking of protection and how one must be careful to 'spread' White Light when 'listening' to the Tarot and especially around some powerfully 'negative' people. I had never really thought about using it to give me more 'ability to show my feelings' but you are absolutely right. Blessings to you for realizing that it is a beautiful way to empower one when they 'hold back' out of insecurity or whatever! in Love situations.I thought that Spiritual Protection was very valuable and hope others will read and reread it. Morgana and Poops thanks for 'enlightening' us with your thoughtful uses of White Light. I look forward to being much more protected in my Future as I will begin to use your ideas each and every day. What a nice early Christmas present!Love Flame

p.s. Randall, I had no idea there had been another Purple person in here. Glad that I am 'not related'.

Hi All
Purpleflame,
Trust me when I tell you I am no expert with Astrology, but thank's for the compliment anyway....I'll take it

Moon in the 10th ..as children our well-being depends on our mother loving us. Those with the moon in the 10th project the ' mother ' onto the world. : their safety and security needs are linked to issues of profession and status.

They are extremely sensitive about their reputations, standing before the public, and what people think about them in general.. No matter how mature and self-sufficient they appear, inside is a little boy or girl looking up to the mother/world and asking to be loved.
Squares and oppositions to the moon in the 10th denote other parts of the person which frustrate or do not necessarily gel with what winning that approval requires..

The person with the moon in the 10th often exhibits, through gestures and movements, a close identification with the mother. As children, they are exceptionally responsive to her physical and emotional life.

The career or profession may reflect mothering qualities: serving and catering to other peoples needs, feeding them, housing them, nursing them, etc. Career issues will elicit and expose their feelings and emotions. Bosses or Authority figures may be the target for unresolved problems with the mother or parents in general.

There will be a sensitivity to the moods of the public and a potential to sway the feelings of the masses.

Hope this helps

Thanks Randall.

I am also a lunar Scorpio conjunct Neptune in the 11th house. As a child I always felt uncomfortable around people because I absorbed so much of other people's emotions that if I walked into a room where someone was angry, I immediately wanted to run away.

As a teenager I became isolated and this turned into a very severe depression. I was so sensitive, and my Scorpio moon always wanted to turn those emotions inward ... but when it did come out ... stand back everyone!
(I was so ultra sensitive that I remember while I was in high school I attempted a telemarketing job. When people hung up on me I took it personally and burst into tears every time!!!)

And yes, I can also manipulate with the best of them. The difficult thing is that it is almost subconscious with me ... I have to determine if I am expressing myself or if I am expressing what I think the other person wants to hear.

I have to consciously work with my moon/neptune conjunction every day and I have found that as long as I am using it in a positive and nurturing way (to feel and understand)it is a wonderful thing, but it has taken many years of tears and frustration in order to come to that conclusion.

Thank goodness I found astrology! It did for me what 20 years of therapy could not do.
Thank you Linda Goodman ... you were surely my angel.

hrj,

I TOTALLY identify with everything you wrote! Those are my exact thoughts and feelings! It's strange to read something that so entirely expresses what you feel. Every bit, to your last sentence about astrology, goes for me too. It's no use repeating what you've already said, let me just say I completely understand!!

It's very difficult to be that sensitive, I should know, right, but thank god/ddes you have that Scorp Moon to give you strength to endure and overcome and empower yourself whenever you're down! I do, all the time.

Hi, Poops, hi, PurpleFlame, hi, Randall!

Thanks again, Poops. I really related to your info on the 10th House Scorp Moon. I am VERY close to my Mom.I am blessed to have her in my life. I had no idea that she was so very important in my house placement. She and I are best friends and we get along exceptionally well and always have. We can discuss ANYTHING with each other. I always knew it was special but now realize how fulfilled it makes me feel as it is so much a part of my inner satisfaction. THank you so much, Poops. And Randall, this matches me so well I do think the Placidus is right on for me cos I am an 11th house in the Koch. Love Flame. Have a wonderful Christmas, everyone.

Hi all you lovely lunar eagles!
Ever since I found out what my moon sign was about 5 years ago I've
made so much more sense to myself.
When I was growing up and read about the signs, I always felt a
strong affinity with the sign of Scorpio and often thought I'd been
mistakenly born a week too late. (on Nov. 27th ...although I do
have plenty of Sagittarius qualities).

My moon and Venus are at exactly 7 degrees Scorp. in the 5th house,
loosly conjunct Uranus at 17 degrees. Since I was born in Alaska,
with the placidus house system, my 5th house is huge, with the cust
on Scorp, and entirely encompassing sagitarius, which my sun,
merc.,mars, and neptune are in.

Morgana, like you, I have a leo rising (with Jupiter conjuct AC) as
well and I must say I found myself nodding while reading much of your
posts. I am addicted to comfort and am quite lazy (tho I am now
focusing my will on changing at this time b/c I don't want to pass
bad habits on to my toddler , he's picking up so much all of
a sudden!)
I also get quite worked up over injustices of any kind.
I've been getting involved with magical political activism lately
because of this extremely passionate desire I have to make the world
a better place for my child. I will also admit I'm alittle selfish
in my desire to change the world as well.....
I believe so firmly in reincarnation and since my son's father
recently died,
I am ever more fervently wanting to create the best possible
scenario for this soul mate of mine and I to return to the
earth and have another shot at this whole domestic bliss/ending up
as old ppl rocking on the porch watching the grandkids play
scenario.

I feel like a very sensitive, impressionable person one moment ( I
too often feel that I take on the emotions of those around me )
emotionally, and then at other times, especially after such a trial
as I have endured the past 5 1/2 months, I feel strong as a rock,
able to withstand anything the world can throw at me. I find comfort
in knowing that he was my soul mate, he had a very full life, yet
also very troubled. He was the sort of Pisces Linda warns about in
Sun Signs. You know, the bread and wine, beachcomber sort, always
sort of just missing the tide in his life. Very mystical and dreamy,
so very compassionate yet also very much an escapist, even his death
was testament to the escapism of Neptune. (It was an accident but I
read Randall's thread about how what we think determines our fate and
I agree mostly. I think the accident was actually my lover's
manifestation of the intense lack of self confidence in his abilities
to overcome the karmic tests of this life. ie- addictions)

Anywas, I'm getting off topic perhaps..Morgana,
I was wondering if you have a square between your leo AC and your
moon and how you may see that affecting you.

I'm never sure what to blame my, ahem, often overly active libido
on. Is it the scorpio moon? The fact that it's in the 5th house ?
(because sex and emotional/spiritual connection are always one and
the same for me..I can't have meaningless sex but I sure do like to
have alot.) I thnk I may try to avoid speaking about my emotions by
expressing them physically more. Perhaps it's just the randy ol'
Sagittarius influence tho.

I'm looking forward to continuing this discussion but I won't be back
for a few days..going on vacation but I will be eagerly awaiting to
hear from all you moon mates. ( I loove that term.)

See you next year!

Bright Blessings
Harpyr Sycamoreraven

Welcome, Harpyr!

My heart goes out to you, that's a terrible thing what happened to you! I can't even begin to imagine if... Well, as you/Randall said, if you don't want it to happen, don't think about it. I'm so glad that you found your strength again, but that's the best thing about our Scorp Moon: we're like Phoenix that rises from the ashes again and again, stronger each time. I always say: Nothing ever ends if you don't want it to. I, too, firmly believe in reincarnation and I know it all depends on my will.

Yes, I have a square between my Asc. and my Moon. I guess it manifests in constant internal struggle, the more so because Leo wants to stand out and shine while Scorpio wants to be the hidden puppet master. But I must say that the Scorpio in me dominates, the Moon being in charge of my emotions which are so powerful I can't always control them. And, yes, I have a strong libido, but only when I'm in love - then I can't get enough... . But I do think that your Sag Sun adds to it. Not to forget your Scorp Venus!! And I think that conjunction with Uranus may have something to do with it...

I hope you and all my Moonmates have a wonderful New Year's celebration!

See you later!

Does anyone feel that solar or lunar Scorps are somewhat neurotic?

LL,

I don't know about that, but I am somewhat neurotic.

I really don't know if that can be attributed to the Scorp Moon or Sun, though.

I like the word "intense" better than the word "neurotic" ...

I would definitely consider my Scorpio moon "intense".
