Oh it's really hard to generalize these things. But fun to talk about of course

Still, I just think that Venus is a very superficial indicator. The guys I meet end up acting more like their Moon/Sun signs in the end. As a Scorpio, I have had 2 men in my life with Venus in Scorpio. You think they have a deep side to them. Because they seem to be attracted to your own depth. Next thing you know they are just another boring Capricorn or superficial, show-off Libra

swirl-kitt - so right. It's hard to decide.

Back shortly.

BTW I always attract Virgo Mars men because perhaps I have a Virgo Venus/Pluto conjunction in the 8th.

They may also regularly hate me at first because this squares my Sagi ascendant.

Yeah, I think bvanzy has hit onto something important there. I think aspects count for something too. I have aqu sun squ uranus and I attract guys who have hard contacts between ura and/or venus/moon. This should modulate what they are looking for.

Evander is right about intellectual challenging and gemini venus. My mars in gem (chart ruler as well) sits on my partner's venus and I think he likes me because I'm a witty and wonderful genius (well at bare minimum and probably the objective truth, I put a lot of my energies into developing my intellect). He's definitely made comments about "stupid" women before, that he can't stand them (eg you can tell she looks "stupid" by the way she looks).

Don't forget the DC too folks!

Venus in Leo male: You don't have a certain "type" the main thing is that she must be the most beautiful girl in the room. Tanned, great hair, great smile the works. You like women who look stylish. Homely girls are not for you. Lipstick is great in your opinion. And you insist that your woman doesn't look too tacky.

No, dont have a certain type.
She doesnt have to be the most beautiful woman in the room, but of course will be very attractive to me.
Great smile and hair? Yes!
Forget the tan. Nice simple understated style, jeans and a top is fine. Homely women are for me. Lipstick is either good or bad. Tacky is a big no - if it means those big Pat Butcher earrings that you see on chavs, and shell suits. Thats not good.

But you also like regal women, who have a presence, are charismatic and are strong and bald? Would that be right Kick It?

Maybe even off beat, friendly and glamourous, empathetic (venus squ ura, venus trine nep).

What do you say about your aries moon and its aspects? (I think the kite you have in your chart ties in all those elements as to what you are looking for).

mercury ruled venus seems to be the key for me. sadly in terms of affection i prefer virgoan.

speaking of all of this i scared off one of my gemini venus dudes yesterday. i was high on caffeine and we were talking sports and my ,usually carefully expressed, 12th house arian mars came out a little too competitive. . . ah well it was too much talking no action [arian mars again ] anyway

Well if thats what Venus describes, what is the Descendant all about

Works almost fine as I have Leo on there. Sun in Libra, conjunct Saturn. Saturn rules my 12th, or her 6th (clothes)
Also the conjunction to Jupiter and square to Neptune.

Kick it - Yes it works for you, re DC. But lets look at my partner and compare his stats to me:

Partner has:
(1) DC in Cancer, saturn in leo/7th
(2) Venus in gemini/6th - conj sun, opp neptune, sextile mars
(3) Moon in sco/11th - conj ura, squ mars, opp jupiter.

In relation to me fitting in with him:

(1), I have my saturn in cancer but it is conj his saturn and is his 7th. My IC is cancer and runs through his 7th.
(2) I have my mars conj his venus/sun. I don't know how the sun plays into this but my asc falls into leo decanate. Mars is chart ruler and is opp neptune and is in gemini/3rd. My DC is libra.
(3) I have sun in aqu conj merc (probably links back to his gemini venus) squ ura, ura is in sco. Sun/merc also opp saturn. I have pluto conj DC in the 6th. Mars is chart ruler. I have venus in sag and jupiter in 1st/aries sextile my mars and opp pluto

See how it all filters back indirectly?

The same elements that he is look for gets reproduced in my chart. What I mean by reproduction is not necessarily through planets in the same sign but maybe replicated by an aspect. For example he has venus in gemini, I have sun conj merc; he has moon conj ura, I have sun in aqu squ ura; has moon in sco, I have pluto opp asc and mars (chart ruler) trine pluto. And so on and so on....

Same kind of flavour? I get ya now.

Look at his 7th house for what he wants in a partner...for her personality.
Same for you.

Mars to go and get what you want and Venus for what you look for in a partner is fine....if you are Aries rising.
It works that way.

Mars natural ruler of the 1st, implies action. The go out and get them bit.
Venus natural ruler of 7th - attraction. The what you look for bit.But not every chart is Aries rising, so go with your 7th house.
The guide mentioned at the start is great but only if you replicate the word "Venus" with 7th house ruler.

Yes, that's why if someone's mars falls in your 1st, you want to "get" them. Of course, for a long term relationship, you'd go for the DC characteristics (and planets in 7th, aspects to the planets and DC even). I don't think its as simple as saying "venus". Venus IMHO just describes the physical package maybe.

I am, but wasnt earlier.

I dont do it your way, but wont explain.

His DC is in Cancer, this is his decsription for what he is after....now always gonna be a spot on description!

quote:

Cancer venus: Well......You like them to look like your mother, I know a guy who married a woman who looked exactly like his mom and guess what? he had Venus in cancer. You like women who are feminine and you don't care if she's a little dumb, you think it's cute. Curly hair is a turn on for you. And perly white skin. Freckles too! because they're also so cute. You do not like women who wear pants all the time, instead she should wear lots of lace.

Guess what? He's told me many times that I am exactly like his mother. And I am very similar to her mother in terms of interests, values and hobbies (we have venus trine venus) and I get along with her too. I don't know her birth time but there is a good chance that her moon squ her ura and her venus conj her ura.

And I am very motherly to him as well. I cook him good food, pack him a lunch every day, make him fruit salad for breakfast, darn/iron his clothes. I guess that's my Cancer IC showing him some love and my moon in my 7th. Also he has saturn in 7th and I have saturn in 4th/cancer. I am the organiser/housekeeper and I organise his papers for filing etc.

I'd say cap myself. I'm sure my partner is cap based on the conjecture of time of birth for him and he looks like one and carries on like one. She looks exactly like him.

***Venus in Sadge: Buff women, ahh yes, you like to go to the gym and check out the ladies, admit it! Your woman is tanned, hair doesn't matter. But she's usually brunette and she can arm wrestle, She's taller than you too. Muscle is nice in your opinion, but flexability is too. Your woman must work out atleast a little. You think that make-up is yucky and you don't like to kiss girls with lipstick. You like girls who speak several languages, an accent is sexy to you.
Big breasts implants or natural are accepted.***

My boyfriend has Venus in Sag.

I am not buff but I go to the gym 2 or 3 times a week and walk quite a bit.

I am *far* from tanned, though and I have red hair

But I AM taller than he is and I'm flexible (I can put my foot behind my head).

He likes makeup but not lipstick so much.

He's certainly a 'boob' guy.
