Cancerrg! You and my beloved seem much of the same mind and soul. He isn't on here to post, but he wanted to reply to you beause you know how a Cancerian feels. He is June 27th. What are you? I am Scorpio, November 3rd.
As for the other signs being polite, here are some of my observations of people I've known/know:Auquarian: Worried about what will people think, and may act rude if they think you'll make them look bad socially. But once they get to know you they are kind and funny, if they can get over worrying what other people think. Pices:Shy, worry too much, oh dear oh dear, everything is a dilema. They can get so lost in the oh dears, oh mys, and what ifs, that they may appear flighty or nervous or rude. If they can calm down and not worry themselves, they can be nice. Aries: Polite if they want something, but watch your back. They love gossip too much, They will make you feel so very comfortable and you think you've found a friend, but any secrets you tell them will go public. Taurus: I don't really know many, but the two I know are polite but stand-offish. They seem quietly sarcastic. Gemini:
I would say usually polite, but don't get them drunk! Cancer: They will treat you with respect and kindness unless you upset them or hurt them. Leo: Polite, they don't want to appear weak or unlordly. They seem to do better with children. Virgo: Diplomatic, polite, but prone to egotism or going on about things without stopping to listen Libra: Diplomatic, socially busy, but I have yet to figure them out. Can't get close. Scorpio: Polite untill you give them reason to not be. If they are wrong, they will apologize. Unless they are insane. Sagittarians: Polite, but find fault and try to blend that with being polite. They should keep those two things separate. Capricorn: Polite, often very. But watch your back! If the social ladder beckons they, will polite you every which way while stabbinbg you in the back. Ok , that is some people I've known. But there are so many variations to each sign, depending on time, moon, sun etc.
My husband said, for him, if someone upsets him, they can make amends with copious offerings of good Chocolates!

I can't see it as any specific sign being more polite than others, but more of how we are raised. Generally speaking, that is.

FAYTE, it was good to know about ur/ur beloveds views and they are so much similar to mine about all most all the signs, well my birthday is on 29th june and my sis has her's on 27 . we are four cancerians in our family - 27, 29, 30 then 7th.
i dont know much about aquas and pisces ,never had many friends . but wat ever i know i can't associate politeness with aquas .
ur are very much right about aries (my sis's husband is such)
gemini - i agree with gemini one too.
leo - i dont know , never ever had any friends .
virgo - i agree.
libras- ha , i have always been very near to them , they are polite no doubt . the thing with them is they make fun of someone and even the person would like it most of the times , so even when they are not polite , they are not taken very seriously. but they can be extremly impolite with ppl whom they dislike and thier dislike doesn't have to be logical because they are hypocrites, so when u deal with them , insist that they remain striaght and they 'll be ok.( even i have just friends only , no family relation with them , my bro and dad are libras .)

i think that every sign has the ablitly to be polite. so i dont think its right to say one person is more polite when anybody can be polite.
