"dark, heavy & fascinating"add sexy and I think you just pinpointed Scorpios in four words. Actually maybe trade in heavy for deep: dark, deep, sexy, and fascinating. mmmmm scorpio energy IP: Logged |

I'm reasonable sure I have the Eagle ascendent but I'd have to go to the chart service and reconfirm considering I'm counting upon recall, and unless I'm real interested, my recall ain't legendary. My look though, is only that way when I'm daydreaming about innocuous things or particularly annoyed...otherwise they're DB, baby.IP: Logged |

Yes yes.... I am a true Scorpio-rising. Undiluted, 1st degree also. I've been told by some of my friends, especially Scorpios or Cancers, that I have this way of "seeing people naked." Often, I am so intuitive I read people and their energy instantly. When something goes wrong, I'm usually the first person who'd sense you. In dating/relationships, it has helped me to see who's sincere and real of course. Sometime it is intimidating for people, because 8 out of 10 times you cannot hide from me. I would give a quick "glance" and look at them and can say a lot about them already. And maybe for this reason , I don't fall "in love" very easily. It's usually the other way around. I am not manipulative. I know when somebody is "weak" for me, I just see right through them. And with such power, I am afraid....it's a very strange feeling when you just "see" someone so easily. On the other hand, sometime having this power over a certain persons to me... intimidates me. Because power comes with responsibility, and I am always afraid of hurting others.... IP: Logged |

Staring is nice when one can see something in those eyes, I hate it when the girl walks off with another guy though lol. If its a fight though I don't have time to spend in jail/court hence the looking away part IP: Logged |

I don't think I'll ever forget the day I happened to look up and notice this guy starting at me. I don't even remember how long we locked eyes but boy was it intense.I'm pretty sure he has a scorpio asc, but in the natal chart he does have a lot of plutonian aspects in there Whew

i think this "scorpio stare" can be an absolute blessing.that stare will act as a "filter" for you in a way. assuming those with this stare also have that pluto/scorpio depth/intensity in their personalities too, you will prefer to have friends/lovers who match your intensity. and those who are put off just by how intense you "look", are simply folks who dont match your intensity anyway.you don't have to worry about cutting ppl off for the most part LOL. this is much better than actually going through the process of getting to know someone. only to find out that you and that person aren't even compatible in any way (whether as friends or lovers etc). that doesn't mean EVERY single person that shows interest in you will be as intense as you. you will encounter some who are just curious about you. but most of the time those will also pull away because they couldn't handle your intensity after all.only those who are truly as intense as you (or more) will stick around for the long haul. of course this stare could be a curse to those who only LOOK intense, but beneath those intense looks, they are all lighthearted and casual.scaring away your ideals simply because you "look" intense must suck BIG TIME.------------------ pluto's child IP: Logged |

Thank you. Capricorns are right up there in the staring zone stare. The Scorpio's gaze is stern and steady, ours is more like channeling through your soul. While it seems the Scorpion can see into your soul, we see through it. That means not only are we looking inside to pull out what you are hiding, we have obtained it all without you knowing we've done so. I believe a Scorpion is fishing for the answers that they think they can achieve meanwhile us Caps have already mastered it before you even know what we are doing. Get a Scorpion and a Capricorn together in this battle, and every time the Cap always comes out the winner. A Scorpion can only gaze so long, but the Caps gaze is a lifer. ------------------ ~Sunny~ IP: Logged |

imo the cappy stare is more of a solid, stern, even grumpy/annoyed look. the only capricorns i've met with those "looking through you" type of stares actually have had strong scorpio/pluto placements in their charts along with their cappy or saturn placements( peter steele is a perfect example of this imo). to me the scorpio "stare", is more idk, like emotional looking? its like they are trying to figure out just how emotionally deep you are (or not), or you just look too fascinating to them and they get that compulsive urge to study your every move not even caring if they are being rude by staring. but the Capricorns i've seen have more of a serious no nonsense stare, rigid look . in a way that makes you feel like they are reprimanding you with their eyes.even alil snobbish looking too,as if they where thinking "ugh she/he is soo immature" look. idk i cant really explain it. but there is an obvious difference to me between the two.------------------ pluto's child IP: Logged |

She's also a Scorpio and she also has that "stare" but i think its less apparent on her because her eyes are a grayish blue and mine are dark brown ------------------ Alice: "Why are you upside down?" This is the most fascinating topic I have discovered. I google searched this very subject and this is what I found. I have to add in here that many scorpios will say that they are studying someone with some degree of curiosity and it doesn't necessarily mean they are attracted. I have to disagree with that slightly. When you are staring or studying someone, you do have a fascination and attraction to them no matter what way it turns out to be or you wouldn't be doing so in the first place. Whether the person you are taking apart piece by piece is beautiful or ugly, you sill have some intention of them being interesting, or you wouldn't be moderating all their moves. In my chart I have found either I am a Scorpio rising or I am a Scorpio moon. Either apply so it is in my chart, somewhere. The only time you will catch me gazing at someone is there is some mystery in them that I have to figure out, or they are just so stand outtish that I have to admire them and gaze in amazement. Plenty of times I am simply amused by what I am studying and analyzing. If I am looking at male or female, it is the same outcome. I find them attractive and I want to know more about them. I don't take the time to stare at a homely person because there is nothing interesting there for me to attract my eyes onto. Yet I am also curtious and know that "staring" is rude so I make it not known. You can watch someone inadvertantly and they'll never know. But if I want them to know, I sure let them know. If it is a female that I want to know I am looking at them, I will usually tell them that they are very pretty, or they look really nice, or if its a certain feature I will compliment them on that aspect. If its a male and whether what energy I draw off them I will do the same thing in return. I cannot gaze merrily at a man, simply because he may think that I am into him. Usually they are attractive and that is why I am doing it at all. I don't always tell them anything but express through my eyes and with a smile that I like what I see. It's kind of fun to get reactions out of people all the while doing this. Staring is not quite the proper term for this maneuver. Studying or gazing are better suited words. Staring is rude and no one wants to be starred down like you are their next meal or target. Simply gazing at someone reassures them you are intently looking at them as a valued respected person. Studying them also verifies that you are curious about them and want to know more about them. They will feel that energy and relax. When you "stare" at them, that is the only time they will get edgy and respond with either words or a look that says, what the heck is your problem you creep?! Trust me, the Scorpion stare is not really a stare. With some perhaps, but if they do it correctly it becomes a mastered art and not some creepy stalkerish vibe the other is promoting out. Although it may seem to be directed at Scorps, look at the rest of the zodiac. It's all in the eyes and anyone can achieve this power. IP: Logged |

I'm wondering if this "stare" is attributed mostly to Scorpio suns or people with heavy scorpio influences? Any opnions on this matter. I'm a Scorpio ascendent but I don't think I have the "stare" I do make a lot of eye contact though. IP: Logged |

I'm sure it depends on the person. I have seen Scorpio suns with and without this effect. And I've seen ascendants and what not with or without it too. Maybe it's just sexual vibes that get us going. There's no guaranteed answer. IP: Logged |

That's true, but what about when you're not curious or interested? I'm a girl and at women I usually don't look at all, but it happenes for e.g. when one takes a public transport; in the subway, you look at people..cause well, it's not like you're gonna keep your eyes closed, right? so I noticed they don't feel much at ease They don't feel at ease but some still try and return the stare, and it happens both with males and females. So now I try to look on the window if possible, if not, then read a book or something just to keep my eyes from wondering. I mean, I'm not even a scorpio sun.I think they are the ones who master this "art" best. You need to give us scorpio risings or mooners some tips :/ IP: Logged |

Tips? lol. You know the difference in gazing and staring right? If you are constantly gawking at someone and you don't know them, the other person is going to react. Put yourself in their shoes. Would you like someone eyeing you down? Probably not. Roam your eyes randomly and no one suspects you are "staring" at them. Smile too, it helps. IP: Logged |

IMHO this isnt a strictly scorpio trait. people with strong pluto have these eyes too, and even more pronounced in many cases i've seen. so no this is not only exclusive for scorpios lol.look at keanu reeves for example he has no scorpio, yet he definitely has that stare, hes got pluto rising conjunct the ascendant in virgo.
