The Secret Language of Birthdays: Personology Profiles for Each Day of the Year, by Gary Goldschneider, Aron Goldschneider, Joost Elffers Curious what you all think about that book above. I've had it for years and have given it out to friends many times over. It has me pegged perfectly... and I find its astrological info very right on the money... I would love to read your comments on this book. I also have the one on "Relationships" and the one on "Destiny" by these same authors and find them useful and interesting... Thanks in advance! Each birthday is two pages long, and it's a big hardcover book, so it would take me a long time to type it all out. But I can give you a few 3 February "highlights" for now, is that OK?All right then, your day is called "The Day of Exacting Realism" and it starts out thusly: "Most people born on February 3 pay painstaking attention to the details of their profession and rate very highly on technique. They have a knack for what they do, an unmistakeable ease with their materials and the ability to take things apart, put them together and keep them running in good order. They also have a fine sense of timing, usually picking exactly the right moment to make their move in business or in love. This latter area may be treated by them as a passionate 'hobby' which gets the attention of a full-time career. "Those born on this day are very realistic about what they can and cannot do. They may or may not have genius enough to be strikingly original, but they will master every aspect of their craft. Punctuality is not their strong point, however, so one should not expect them to arrive on time (others' time, that is)." There's a ton more, but that's the start of it... There is "advice" at the end which reads: "Hang in there. Try to hold up your end of the deal and don't cut out so easily. A few miles never hurt anybody. Don't be frightened of feelings. We all have to face responsibilities sooner or later." There is also a "meditation" at the end which reads: "Non-attachment is a good thing, but one can become attached to that as well." I've seen that book before - I think that I'm on the day of Dancers and Dreamers or something along those lines (March 12).My husband's (Jan 22nd) is...Genius...something or other...I have no idea about my daughter's (Apr 22nd) - Do you know for sure what those are? No need for a description, just the names. IP: Logged |

Hi proxieme, 12 March is "The Day of The Great Leap" (meditation is "Caution should not be mistaken for cowardice") 22 January is "The Day of the Vortex" (meditation is "Enthusiasm is life-giving, but deadly when misguided") 22 April is "The Day of Established Presence" (meditation is "Seing in the dark isn't done with one's eyes") Karen IP: Logged |

Hey Karen, that's awfully nice of you (what a weird expression, eh?)- do you think you could look up my birthday? I've seen the book before, but thought it was probably a piece of crap, but hmm- I wonder how accurately it would describe me. February 25th, thanks!Edit- two pages?! A bullet list of key points or something is fine with me, two pages is a lot to type O_O. ------------------ "Out of your depth or not, it's up to you whether you sink or swim." IP: Logged |

28 September basics from tSLoB (oh and by the way, happy almost birthday! and i think there is a FULL MOON that night, how cool for you!!!)"The Day of the Heartbreakers" (uh oh! ) "Those born on September 28 are highly capable of winning and keeping the affections of those whom they desire. This does not necessarily mean that they are physically more beautiful than others, but rather that they have a kind of seductive charm which can melt a cold heart and send one's blood rushing. Sometimes they can be extremely exasperating and upsetting, but this again is part of their stimulative power. "September 28 people display a talent for inflicting pain which matches their ability to please. Which they effect depends on the mood they are in, or sometimes on their occupation or primary interest. In all fairness to them, their scorecard usually shows that they suffer at least as much as those with whom they are involved. In this respect they can appear disarmingly simple and human." (it goes on for a lot more, but that's the start of it...) Advice: "At some point in your life you will have to make hard decisions concerning your actions. Fight the impulse to procrastinate; pain can be minimized by making choices earlier in life rather than later. Do periodic assessments of your progress." Meditation: "Nietzsche was fond of saying that acts of love take place beyond good and evil." IP: Logged |

25 February from tSLoB:"The Day of the Higher Cause" "Although those born on February 25 are often formidable individuals in their own right, they only reach their full potential when giving their all for a cause greater than themselves. Those born on this day have a large measure of confidence and self-respect but generally believe that universal goals have greater meaning than personal ones. Also they intuit that by plugging into a higher cause their own power is only magnified. "Not infrequently, February 25 people come into conflict with those around them. That they are critical of social mores is not surprising, since they see society as being in constant flux and turmoil, perhaps unworthy of a deep commitment. As chidren, February 25 people often rebel quite openly against their parents and other authority figures, and react emotionally to what they perceive to be injustice. Because they often do not find peace with themselves until later in life, their adolescence and early adulthood can be stormy. "In their late thirties and forties, February 25 people usually deepen their commitment to a worthy interest, perhaps art, philosophy, religion or an ideal of what humanity could be at its very best." (again, there's more, but that's the start) Advice: "Be your own person but consider the wishes of others. Concentrate on improving yourself also. Don't be too needy of admiration. Respect beliefs different from your own." Meditation: "The brain is both a transmitter and a receptor." IP: Logged |

I bought this book like two years ago or something and it is amazing! I love it and I refer to it a lot. I couldn't believe how accurate it was. I do really like the other books written by them- they have a relationship book and a destiny book too. The destiny books is very detailed. The relationship book is so awesome because it tells you about how you are compatible with someone who was born on a specific day- but it's pretty short so I wouldn't buy that one. I was born on "The Day of Impulse." Soooo true! I'm a salesman's dream come true! IP: Logged |
