For those who don't know him, he is a genuinely wonderful indiviidul and I'm not exaggerating...Spiritual; caring; intelligent; a BRIGHT, BRIGHT light! I've known him for over five years and a better friend in the world, could not be had...*sigh*

I have been so saddened by this...I cannot believe it...still in the shocked phase....

Dear everyone,
This is the first I've come onto the site since my intial posting to tell you the distressing news. Needless to say, we are overwhelmed and touched by the outpouring of love and support on all levels from everyone here. We know how much Dad is cherished and loved, as he is so dear and special to us. Firesong and all of us are holding up as best we can. The last few days have been heartbreaking and extremely difficult. BUT HE HAS NOT GIVEN UP FIGHTING! His condition continues to be in a critical state, with ups and downs, but currently is showing signs of improvement. I truly believe the the prayers and positive energy you guys are sendning are making a difference, so we need now more than ever to strengthen that effort, to visualize his recovery.
To give you a brief version, Greg underwent an emergency cardiac surgergy as a result of a major heart attack. He experienced respiratory arrest prior to surgery, the combination of which catipulted him to an extremely critical and life-threatening place. Following the surgery, he has fought several severe complications that have been frightening and dangerous. But, there is still every reason to believe that he will come out of this and recover to a stable condition and eventually return home. The doctors that are working on him are extremely expert and are doing everything to help him and as recently as this afternoon believe that he is going to pull through.
Greg's spirit, as you all know and love and admire, is about strength, optimism, stubborn willpower to fight against odds. Meditate upon his beautiful spirit - Please continue to send your love and prayers to him. We want to read these posts to him, because I know they will lift his spirits. Even though he has not been physically concsious, we feel he hears us and is with us on an astral plane.

I'm so sorry to hear about Greg but happy to hear so many are pulling for his speedy recovery, as am I.
