Topic: 5th house and Your child

I've always wanted to ask this forum this but never got around 2 it. We all know that the 5th house describes our lovers and children.
But how many parents here actually have a child or is with a partner who is described by their 5th house? For eg:
how many:
Aries have A leo child(5th house is in Leo)
Taurus have a virgo child
Geminis have a libra child
Cancers have a scorpio child
Leos have a Sag child or lover
and ect.
I have this obseesive habit of asking mothers what sign they are and then what signs their children are- just to see if there is a link or a pattern- and u know what?- I did.
I found that MOST people'child's sign is square or opposite the sign on their 5th house(based on your SUN sign)
what i mean by this is:Aries-usually will have an Aquarian or scorpio child(also very common is Cancer and Gemini child) Taurus: Gemini or Sagg child( also commonly is Taurus, Scorpio and Aquarius) Gemini:VERY common: Cancer, Libra, Capricorn and Piceas Cancer: usually will have an Aries(usually a daughter tho'), Taurus, Gemini,Sagg and Capricorn Leo will usually have: Taurus,Gemini, virgo, Sag and Aquarius virgo will usually have: Aries, Taurus, Leo,
and Very commonly Scorpio and Piceas Libra: Taurus,Leo, Capr, Aqua and Piceas Scorpio: almost every scorpio has at least one: Aries, Taurus, virgo, scorp, Sag and Piceas Sagg will usually have : and Aries, Cancer,
Libra, and Capr capricorn will usually have: Aries, Cancer, Leo, Libra and Scorpio Aquarius: Taurus, Gemini, Leo, virgo and other Aqua Piceas: Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, virgo and libra children Pls remember that these are very general answers that are based on all of the people I've asked who have kids. thanks! I'm my mothers only child - she's a Virgo.My father is a Taurus, I'm his oldest... his son and daughter with an Aquarius are Aquarius and Pisces respectively... his son with his Libra wife is a Cancer. My best friend is a Scorpio... her sons are Leo and Taurus... her ex-husband is also a Taurus. My maternal grandparents are an Aquarius and Cancer... they had a Virgo and Scorpio daughters. I love your posts, they're well thought out and make valid points, but I'm confused with this one. I'm an Aries with Taures in the 5th house. I have no Taures children but have one Leo child. I also have
2 Scorpios
Virgo
Aquarius
Aries
If you take the square from my 5th house, then there is the Aquarian and Leo
an opposition would cover my 2 Scorpios
that still leaves my Virgo and Aries.

ok. so ur Asc is in Capr then right, if you have a Taurus 5th house? so this would apply to you because:
your an Aries so ur natural 5th house is LEO and u have 2 scorpios(which is square Leo)
and 1 aquarius(which is opposite Leo)then u have a taurus 5th house. and u again, have 1 scorpio(which is opposte Taurus), and 1 aquarius(which is Square Taurus).
so basically you have children who are either OPPOSITE or SQUARE 2 ur 5th house.

Well... my ASCENDANT is Leo , making my fifth house Sagittarius.......
My oldest's birthday is on Wednesday... that makes him a *dum dum da dum* Sagittarius.
Neat.
So I guess it would be more accurate to describe your Ascendant, rather than your Sun sign.. which makes sense when applied to the houses, I suppose.....IP: Logged |

I am a Gemini with Aries in the 5th house. My oldest is an Aries and, my youngest is a Libra. I also had 2 pregnancies prior to my Aries, the 1st was due to be an Aries, the 2nd a Scorpio or a Sagittarius. My Husband is a Libra and, also has Aries in the 5th... My Mom and Dad are both Leo's, they have me, the Gemini and, a Virgo. My Mom's 5th is in Cancer, my Dad's; Capricorn. My Bro and I share Capricorn in the 2nd, Cancer 8th....

Neat! I have no kids of my own (but if that 5th house is pretty true, I'll most likely have a Leo kid...I refuse to have a Leo partner!), but I can give you a little solid info:My parents are a Pisces and Leo. They have me, a Virgo, and my brother who is a Gemini. I don't have their 5th house info but just looking at your list it's right on.  Oh, and my Scorpio friend has a little Taurus boy running around! I dunno his bio father's sign but that was on too! (p.s. her 5th house is Cappy) IP: Logged |

My 5th house is Libra, my husband's 5th is Capricorn. Our daughter is a GEM, so the formula does not apply here. However, my daughter and I do share an ascendant, which is common (as well as moon) amongst parents and thier children.My husband and I do have our 5th house composite in Sag which directly opposes her Sun. Interesting to note our composite 11th house is in GEM. My daughter has 5 11th house placements in GEM. and shares her NN in Cancer with her dad. There is definately some Karmic formula playing out. I ran straight from here to astro.com and checked, and my fifth house is taurus. I have one child who is, umm... taurus! I'm intrigued! Would this also possibly explain why I am so attracted to earth men, even though I have mostly air and fire in my chart? I've never understood that one...Very cool! Thanks for sharing! IP: Logged |

Hi,I'm a Sag with the 5th in Taurus. My husband is a Cancer and the kids are a Gemini girl and a Virgo boy. It doesn't match up with the Sag sun list, but oddly it comes out in the Pisces list (my moon). While the moon isn't the starting point for the houses, I still think thats pretty cool. D IP: Logged |

Duh... what was I thinking... but anyway, my mothers 5th house is ruled by Capricorn... uhh... I have a Cappy moon?  I don't have my Grandma's birthtime. My best friends 5th house is ruled by Libra... her sons are Leo and Taurus... so nope. My dad's 5th house is ruled by Aquarius and yes... his first two are Aquarians. IP: Logged |

Alrighty... I've read this a couple times now, and I'm just not getting it.I'm a Libra Sun (Gemini Asc.). My 5th house is Virgo/Libra. I'm married to a Taurus (Scorpio Asc.), his 5th House is Aries. We have a Libra (Leo Asc.) and a Pisces (Saggie Asc.) Oh... and my mother's a Scorpio (Saggie Asc.) her 5th house is Taurus. She has me (Libra), sis (Virgo), and bro (Aqua). Interesting footwork, passionfruit. I guess you're referring to a solar rising chart, huh? Like, if you're a Leo, then your first house is ruled by Leo, 2nd by Virgo, etc...? That kind of chart is usefull when you don't know the birth time in order to get the actual rising sign. Some people use a noon chart, which really is quite useless in terms of house placement. One thing I'd like to add, however, is that planets located in your fifth house will likely show up more prominantly in the signs of your children, or at the very least, your FIRST child. No matter what is on the cusp, if a house is tenanted by a planet, that planet is it's ruler (it could have co-rulers too, if more than one planet is in it) For instance, I have Aries on the cusp of my fifth house, but I also have Saturn in my 5th house. I have one daughter who has a 5 planet stellium in Capricorn - which is ruled by Saturn. My Saturn in the 5th house describes a Saturnian child, and that she is. (PS, the planets in her stellium are moon, Mercury, SATURN, Uranus and Neptune - She is a Taurus sun, with Scorpio rising) This is an area of Astrology that I find endlessly fascinating, how family members are astrologically linked to one another. Lioneye, you said it well. ITA. I was trying to figure out a way to explain exactly what you did. I have something a little different, but along those lines. My FIRST child is GEM and has a stellium in GEM in 11th house. The 11th house is Uranus's natural home and I have Uranus in the 5th house. Make sense? She is very much a child of Uranus. IP: Logged |

This is so interesting! My mom is a libra, my dad is a virgo and I'm a pisces. I don't know about their asc and/or 5th house signs but as far as sun signs it works with your findings

I don't quite get it...it seems like everyone here is rhyming different things together to make things fit: solar rising, composite charts, 5th house, 11th house, rising...I'm not getting a clear picture here.I have one child, a saggy, aqua rising, uranus sits exactly on the AC (which I also have), cappy moon. Stellium (4 Planets) in Cappy (hubby is a cappy). My 5th house is pisces, no planets. My son is very uranian (plus a good load of saggy in there). 8 of the 10 Planets fall between his MC and AC, with venus conj. MC (which I also have). So does this correspond or not? K. My mum is Aquarius with Virgo ascendant, therefore her 5th house in Capricorn. Saturn ruling her 5th house is in Libra....
Her first daughter is a capricorn Sun sign
and Her second daughter (ME) is a Libran
Then Her third and last has a Cancer sun in the tenth house. She has no planets in the fifth.She had all girls so maybe the fifth represents female children and the 11th or the opposite sign of the first child shows the next child of the opposite sex.... IP: Logged | |
