Hi hereisgone,If you really need me to do it I will. You'll need to give me the signs for each of those degrees though. But I'll try to explain it better, it's quite easy really. Lets just say you had Venus at 2 degrees Cancer and your DC was at 7 degrees Cancer. If you counted the degrees from 2 Cancer up to the DC at 7, you get 5. Five would be the marriage age. (lol) If you had the Moon at 17 degrees Scorpio and an MC at 2 degrees Capricorn, you just count how many degrees it takes from 17 degrees Scorp to get to 2 degrees Cap. Every sign has 30 degrees in it BTW. (from 0 degrees to 29) So here we would get: 44 in between these two points, when we count the degrees from 17 Scorp to 2 Cap. Obviously you wouldnt count a Venus in the 6th house to the MC. You'd go to the nearest angle. Which in this case is the DC. Does it make anymore sense? IP: Logged |

scientifically, it's all about Solar Arcs; so this theory is based on that of Solar Arcs conj to Angles being connected to the angles...it's not that simple: it CAN be about SA Venus connecting an Angle, but also the Progressed Moon!!! oh! with the proigressed moon, don't try counting degrees.... try a program or astro.com IP: Logged |

Ok, I'm no mathmetician, in fact I may be math-retarded. Progressed moon in currently @ 6 degrees Gemini, 2 (and some) degrees passed by Natal 7th house cusp. quote: count the number of degrees between your love planets (S, Mo, V, Ma)and the angles
So, my Sun is at 15 Leo, MC is at 3:18 Libra. That's about 48 degrees. Moon is at 8 degrees Aqua, 55 degrees away from my IC Venus is at 28:48 Leo, About 33 degrees away from my MC. That one came and went already. Mars is at 01:26 Leo, About 62 degrees away from my MC, about 58 degrees away from my Desc. According to all this, I won't be getting married until I'm a granny! BUT : Interesting to note, back in August/Sept of 2004, my progressed moon was passing over my Natal 7th house cusp, and this coincided with my moving in with my sweetie. Also in my progressed chart during that time, Pr-Venus the natural ruler of the 7th house, was conj Pr-Mercury, ruler of my Natal 7th house, in the sign of Libra. (falling in my natal 10th house). Progressed Mars (ruler of my Natal IC) was moving into a conjunction with Natal Venus. (4 degrees away) Progressed Saturn was conjunct my Natal Saturn, but I'm not sure if that has any bearing, because I'm not sure if Saturn actually moves at all in the progressed chart - maybe we're only suppose to consider the personal planets when assessing the progressed chart? So, I didn't get married back in August, but I guess you could say I did, in a modern sense of the word. I moved into a common-law marriage situation, and that is pretty close. As for marriage, the real deal....I'm not sure how I feel about it anymore. I often wonder if it really matters at all. Progressed moon is still making it's way through my Natal 7th, and I have to say I have been rather relationship obsessed lately.

26T ~ What are your favorite resources (books, websites) on Progressed Lunar Returns? I don't know anything about this.... Just yesterday I bought a book by John Townley called Lunar Returns, does he cover Progressed Returns? And what is the definition of a Progressed Chart? Thanks and appreciation sent in advance for helping the Neophyte again!IP: Logged |

Hey Azalaksh! I dont mind helping at all! I have John Townley's book. That's a good one. You dont find many books devoted to Lunar returns. I would definitely pick up The Changing Sky - A Practical Guide to Predictive Astrology, by Steven Forrest. He goes into transits and progressions. I think he's brilliant. Also another good one for prediction is The Art of Predictive Astrology by Carol Rushman. She goes into all aspects of prediction and devotes a chapter to the progressed moon as well. Very good book. A progressed chart is a chart that is cast (almost always using what is called secondary progressions) where the theory is it's a planetary movement in which the persons planets move very slowly over a lifetime. "Progressions contrast sharply with transits, which are enviornmental factors. If transits are life's lightning bolts, it's west winds, its droughts and floods then progressions are the "genetic code" of each individual human "acorn". They tell us when to spread our branches, when to flower, and when to seed. Progressions reveal the "genetic code" of growth inherent in the internal developmental logic of each individual birthchart, independent of its larger enviornment. Once we understand them, progressions complete our predictive system." -Steven Forrest. In a nutshell progressions are more personal, internal. While transits have more to do with "outer things" although they too are "ours" and affect us in an inward way as well. When you think of progressions think of the word "evolving". When Mercury is involved you could think "evolving mental picture of the world". With the sun, "evolving identitiy". I learned this from Steven Forrests book. He really goes into it and explains it well. I'd definitely pick it up. Hope that helped! IP: Logged |
