astro junkie unregistered	posted January 24, 2005 12:41 PM Moonshine 9 - I think of the MC only what we would be "attracted to" - as in - with my MC in Aquarius, I've always been attracted to eccentric careers, such as being a circus carnie. But was I ever? No. My Saturn in Capricorn quickly kicks in. Also, the 6th House has to do more with the "daily work routine", and I have a lot of emphasis on all things Virgo/6th House. So as a Scorpio MC, you've probably been attracted to medicine, criminology and psychology just to name a few. But if you ever go into it, is another story. By the way, I've known some Scorpio's who are very much attracted to child psychology. So the MC may definitely be playing a role ... IP: Logged

It's funny I've always been intrigued with shows on Court TV like forensic files, cold case files things of that nature but as far as working in that field I don't think I'm strong enough emotionally. It would be too painful for me dealing with crime and death. I think because my moon is in Libra and my Venus and Saturn in Pisces is way too sensitive as well. I think that's why I turn to the arts. That whole concept of 7th house representing a kind of 'recognition' or 'longing for a long lost friend'... that makes sooooo much sense to me! Now, would the sign that sits there represent the Sun of a person who you feel this with, or some other aspect in their charts? Like, I have a Libra DC... so would I have an unspoken interest in Libras, or some kind of karmic connection with them? (one of them). Also, I have Jupiter and Saturn in Libra, but they are in my sixth house... but man! Does that Saturn in Libra ever cause major problems (lessons in this lifetime? sure... grumble grumble) for me with those of the Libran persuasion... Any ideas? Ghani IP: Logged

And them being in the 6th House, I suspect you'd expect anyone with those Libra influences to pull their own weight. So while you may be "harder" on those Libra-influenced people, it does not mean it can't be heaven. Keep your eyes open, observe, and share. IP: Logged

My hubby has a Leo moon, so could that be why I was attracted to him? Also I have Mercury, mars and pluto in my 7th house so what does that mean in reference to my Decendant? astro junkie unregistered	posted January 27, 2005 12:18 PM Autumn wind - That's a good question. Let's see, what have I observed so far about my Desc? It's in Scorpio ... I've not necessarily dated more Scorpion's, nor people with a lot of Pluto/8th House/Scorpio influences in their Natal Chart. However, there is a Scorpio "quality" to who I'm attracted to. I have no Planets in my 7th. But instead of looking at the Cusp's Ruler and going from there, I'd say that if you have Desc in Leo, you would be attracted to those who are more into the spotlight in life. With your Natal Mercury, Mars & Pluto in your 7th House, I'd venture to guess you're attracted to those who are not just "flashy", but who communicate well in front of people (Merc), are "go-getter's" in life (Mars), and who in turn can know and appreciate the deepest parts of your soul (Pluto). That's just a guess. Does that sound like anything? Now, to go back to my Desc and my empty 7th House, if I look at the Ruler of my 7th - 7th House in Scorpio > Ruler of Scorpio is Pluto > My Pluto is in Virgo in my 6th House > I have 3 Planets in Scorpio in my 6th House. They are Mercury, Mars & Neptune. So yes, I would apply much perfectionistic (6th House) qualities to those I'm attracted to, and would apply to the same things in life as your Merc & Mars did, with the exception of Neptune - where I place Scorpio-like expectations on the romance and visionary front. (Add a Venus in Virgo to that - and you get - a spinster.) IP: Logged

Because my Descendant & 7th House are ruled by the Sun & my Sun is in Virgo, which is traditionally a spinster-like sign. Virgo is ruled by Mercury & my Mercury is in Virgo. And the kicker is that my spinster-ish Mercury is in the 7th House of Marriage. Ah irony...! IP: Logged
