Here we go, from Jan Spiller ~

NEW MOON REMINDER... Sunday, May 8, 3:46 am, EST
(4:46 am, EDST= Eastern Daylight Savings Time), is the New Moon Power Day in May! Don’t miss this opportunity to make wishes for experiences you’d like to have. Because this is also Mothers Day in the US, any celebrations you may be planning will be a particularly auspicious beginning for mothers in the year ahead!

This New Moon is in the sign of Taurus, and it’s a powerful time for wishes involving money, manifesting what you consider valuable in any area that is important to you: a relationship, a business, a job, a new behavior. Things you may have wanted to happen in your life for a long time can begin easily manifesting through using the boost of the powerful and steadfast Taurus New Moon.

For success, your wishes must be handwritten on paper and ten wishes maximum are allowed on each power day. The most potent time is the first 8 hours AFTER the exact time of the New Moon; within the first 48 hours will still work. The potency continues to exist for another twelve hours, but is weaker. For clear success, its best to avoid wishing during those hours when the Moon is Void of Course.

Therefore in MAY, your most potent times for wishing are: Sunday, May 8: 3:46 am - 12:00 midnight; Monday, May 9: 3:29 am - 12:00 midnight; Tuesday, May 10: the entire day is clear for wishing. These times are in Eastern Standard Time and need to be converted to your local time zone. Keep in mind that if you are observing Daylight Savings Time, add one hour, and then convert to your time zone.

Among other things, this New Moon stimulates the ability to more successfully navigate your life by boosting your steadfast determination. It empowers you to become more aware of the power of attaining your aims through thoroughness and step-by-step processes. It stimulates in you the gift of being able to appreciate the value and beauty of what you already have. The energy of Taurus also creates an opening for enjoying the comforts of life.

Your wishes can be about anything that is important to you to bring into your life. For more New Moon tips for May and suggested wishes for the New Moon in Taurus, click here.

For the complete “Rules of the Road” for wishing under the New Moon, as well as sample wishes demonstrating the most potent way of wording your wishes, consult Jan Spiller’s book- New Moon Astrology at your local bookstore.

eek!..this New Moon will oppose my Neptune & square my Ascendant EXACTLY. So I think it best I just sit this one out and not make any wishes at all. As the results would probably be REALLY weird & perverted in some way and the total opposite of what I wished for.

Last month I made my NEW MOON WISH AND GOT WHAT I WANTED. FOCUS AND LET GO ....IT WILL MANIFEST!

New Moon Reminder...
Monday, June 6, 4:56 pm, EST (5:56 pm, EDST= Eastern Daylight Savings Time), is the New Moon Power Day in June! Don’t miss this opportunity to make wishes for experiences you’d like to have.

This New Moon is in the sign of Gemini, and it’s a powerful time for wishes involving communication, manifesting what makes your life happier in any area that is important to you: a relationship, social or business skills, a new hobby, a new behavior, popularity. Things you may have wanted to happen in your life for a long time can begin easily manifesting through using the boost of the happy, smart, and social Gemini New Moon.

Therefore in JUNE, your most potent times for wishing are: Monday, June 6: 4:56 pm - 12:00 midnight; Tuesday, June 7: 12:01 am - 1:50 pm - and - 7:46 pm - 12 midnight; Wednesday, June 8: the entire day is clear for wishing. These times are in Eastern Standard Time and need to be converted to your local time zone. Keep in mind that if you are observing Daylight Savings Time, add one hour, and then convert to your time zone.

Among other things, this New Moon stimulates the ability to more successfully navigate your life by boosting your ability to see options. It empowers you to become more aware of rising above conflict by seeking more information and seeing events from the other person’s point of view. It stimulates in you the gift of being able to appreciate the value of tact and sophistication-- leading to more success and popularity in social relationships. The energy of Gemini also promotes the ability for enjoying brief conversations and lighthearted exchanges of information with a variety of people.

New Moon in ~* Leo *~
August 04, 2005!

Though Leo is mostly thought of as shallow (caring most about outer appearances) it actually carries with it a depth of inner vision sourced in powerful expression of one's own personal creativity. More than any other sign, Leo rules creative actualization of the self, the ego. Ego is the self, knowing and creatively actualizing itself, in all its complexity and beauty… yes, complexity and beauty. The more we know about who we are the more complex our view of self becomes and consequently we begin to be adept at cognizing a wider rage of experience. This is what I call creative mindfulness: opening awareness to a deeper, yet broader sense of the ramifications of action. This is especially true on this intensely reflective New Moon in Leo. The Moon and Sun in Leo are joined by Saturn the teacher and Mercury the messenger; Venus (aesthetics and love) finds itself in discriminating and critically-minded Virgo, and Jupiter is in Libra, the great listener and balancer of the zodiac. So basically this is the New Moon to put some energy behind the idea of knowing yourself better, and becoming mindful of the energy (negative and positive) you output everyday.

Leo's most evolved form is the inspirational, full-hearted teacher/leader. Most of what we see in our leaders is Leo's power-hungry, immature, narcissistic side, constantly craving attention and affirmation from outside itself. Consequently, this is the perfect New Moon to look deeply at how much of what you say and do, is done to appease an inner need for attention and recognition of specialness, rather than a selfless, heartfelt, compassionate desire to heal. True self-esteem is built by developing a calm center from which all decisions are made and all actions are undertaken. And by the way, creativity is freed up tremendously when the mind is calm and focused.

Leo wants us all to understand that our lives are one big canvas and we get to fill it with whatever we want. So dream a little…all right, dream a lot. The way of Leo is big, big, big! Think, "Big-budget Hollywood". It might be a bit harder this year with Saturn in Leo and Venus in realistic/no-risk Virgo, but try to consider what your life would be like if you embraced the risk-taking romantic that lives inside of you, buried deep beneath the weight of all your worldly responsibilities. Pick one area of your life and give it over to this part of you. You'll be amazed at what can happen! Leo represents the artist in each of us. This is the New Moon for increasing your creativity. The New Moon in Leo is all about discovering your personal aesthetic and finding the right modus operandi for expressing it.

Those of you who are artists can use this New Moon to start a new project or initiate a new direction in your work, build a stronger belief in your own vision, or bolster your ability to handle the vast amount of rejection most artists face at one time or another. Leo also rules personal power. What exactly does that mean? In our world it usually means a kind of power-over, which expresses itself in everything from caring only about personal gain, having excessive influence over others, to war mongering, exploitation and land grabbing. I have written quite extensively about this in my article on Saturn in Leo.

This is the New Moon to redefine personal power as a means to engender communal empowerment, coexistence and upliftment; in other words, true leadership. A real leader feels a tremendous responsibility to share their talent in an effort to make life better for everyone around us. Use this New Moon to look at how much of your time do you giveaway your talent to help others in need?

This is also the New Moon for romance. With Jupiter (blissful expansion) in Libra (union), Venus (love and relationship) in Virgo (the healer) and Saturn (commitment) in Leo (romantic love) complementing the Sun (energy)/Moon (emotional needs) conjunction in Leo, diving into the arms of your lover might also include a discussion of the romantic possibilities of long-term commitment. This is going to be one of the more serious and realistic Leo New Moons in a long time. So don't waste the chance to dream within limits that are realistic and long-lasting.

When it comes to love, Leo loves romance; full-blown choreographed romance. If you are just not getting enough attention from your partner, or you are lonely and looking for love, this is the New Moon to create a powerful ritual to invoke and invite romance into your life. For those of you who have a partner, make the ritual a love-fest and pull out all the stops: candles, wine, roses, anything to awaken the senses. For those of you who wish to invite love into your lives, do the same while envisioning "Mr. or Ms. Right" being right there with you. You can make love show up in your life with clear intention and a strong desire to love and be loved.

Those of you who tend toward the Leo drama-queen spectrum of emotional expression, you could use this Moon to do some powerful healing work with your inner "enfant terrible". This is a very good New Moon cycle to take a hard look at your own emotional patterning; especially if you suffer with mood swings. It is possible to love deeply, feel deeply, and create deeply, without wreaking havoc in your own life and the lives of those around you.

Leo often gets hooked into the importance of keeping up appearances; how we look, what we own, what we do, become, for many people, the definers of self. More than anything Leo wants to be noticed and appreciated. But the goal here is not to simulate a fashion model or movie star. The idea is to allow your appearance to reflect the beauty inside your heart, soul and mind. With Venus in Virgo, and the North Node in Aries (the athlete) health is the watchword of the day. Healthy lifestyles are extremely important, and right now obesity is one of the greatest health problems in America. So if you need some inspiration to get in shape and feel better, this is the right New Moon start a diet and exercise program. Some of you may just want to experiment with a new hairstyle or try a new look. This is good time to indulge a little, by gifting yourself with healing treatments for your body. Live a little and treat yourself to something special.

So enjoy this beautiful, fun and creative New Moon cycle!

SunChild, Thanks for the new moon info.
I will definitely think of some new wishes for this moon. Also, it will be a sort of 6 month anniversary for the wishes I made back in february 2005. I'm going to look over that february list and see what I accomplished.
Thanks again!

edit: i went back over my list from february and it was kind of vague.
but i do remember my mindset from that time and feel my life has improved since that time.

New Moon In Virgo September 3, 2005

If health and well-being is your goal, this is the New Moon for you! Virgo rules the physical body, the temple of the spirit; and Virgo cares deeply about bodily purity. If we view the body as a sacred vessel to house the mind and heart, it becomes almost impossible to consider doing it harm. Long ago, a Virgo native must have coined the phrase, "A healthy body creates a healthy mind." Health is the keyword with a New Moon in Virgo. In extremis, Virgo is hypochondriacal and often follows a compulsively restrictive dietary regime. In balance, Virgo is attentive to good health and ingests deliciously healthy foods in moderation.

Mars (action and self-directedness) in Taurus (body/mind connection), Jupiter (faith, hope, and higher values)/Venus (beauty and love) in Libra (balance, moderation), and Sun (motivation)/Moon (emotional needs, intuition, caring) in Virgo, make this New Moon a serious call attend to the health and welfare of ourselves and our world. This is the best New Moon for initiating an intention to deal with substance abuse, weight problems and eating disorders, and get medical attention for illnesses you are avoiding or denying. This is the ideal New Moon to make your loved ones happy by committing to illness prevention and better health. This is the time to get serious about making dietary changes, adding a daily exercise program, and getting more sleep and relaxation. If you are one of these people who find it hard to do for self, then do it for your loved ones. The Uranus (alternative thinking) in Pisces (peacefulness, unconditional love), Sun/Moon in Virgo opposition supports achieving total health through activities like Mindfulness meditation, Yoga, Tai Chi, Chi Kung, or Aikido, all of which integrate the Virgo/Pisces polarity by simultaneously healing the body and centering the mind. Getting healthy is one of the highest forms of self-love. Remember that in order to make your commitments stick you must continue to give your goals lots of attention and energy during the two weeks while the Moon is waxing to full. So, get working to heal your body, mind and spirit on this most amazing New Moon!

Thanks Sun!

I'm wondering if this new moon will pack an extra punch because it is exactly conjunct my Solar Return Moon in the 1st house! 11' Virgo. Which happens to be opposite a Solar Return Mars and Uranus conjunction in the SR 7th....

Maybe I'll get married by the full moon. hehe.

Actually in a book I have, the woman says that she most often sees the SR Moon in the SR 1st house during the year of marriage.

Stranger things have happened!!!

New Moon in Libra
Monday, October 3, 2005
3:28am PDT
10º 19'
Annular Solar Eclipse
3:41am PDT
10 º 26'

Because the Libra New Moon rules love and relationship, this is the most powerful New Moon for bringing new love into your life. This year, the Libra New Moon has a lot of help from a group of very powerful configurations and a solar eclipse. This should make all your ritual work (and there are a lot of suggestions in this Moon Message) potently real and meaningful.

First the configurations: Let's start with the mystic rectangle, which includes a Sun/Moon/South Node in Libra sextile Saturn in Leo and opposing North Node in Aries, and Neptune in Aquarius opposing Saturn in Leo and sextile the North Node in Aries. Mystic rectangles usually focus the energy of the chart into a center axis point of concentrated effort. Notice that this particular grouping of planets speaks to clashing attitudes about power and what it means to be in proper relationship with each other. Saturn in Leo and North Node in Aries embody the conservative voices among us that cling to worn out ideologies of strategic war making and power consolidation in order to control the rest of the world and its resources. Sun/Moon/South Node in Libra and Neptune in Aquarius represent the way of negotiation and working together to find alternative, unique solutions to the world's political, religious, energy, and eco/geopolitical problems.

Along with this mystic rectangle are two yods. Yods are configurations of great power that when unharnessed, bring only frustration. The first yod has Uranus in Pisces as the focal planet, inconjunct Saturn in Leo and Sun/Moon in Libra. Saturn and Sun/Moon form a sextile, again calling upon world leaders to come into a listening/negotiating relationship with each other. If this can happen, the energy of the yod can be released and expressed through a Uranus in Pisces impulse toward peace and technological innovation. The second yod features a focal Mars in Taurus, inconjunct Mercury/Jupiter in Libra and Pluto in Sagittarius. Pluto and Mercury/Jupiter are sextile one another. This yod is clearly about fundamentalist religion's role in increasing global terrorism. Why have those of us who practice attitudes of tolerance and openhearted, open-mindedness failed so miserably to counter the growing insistence upon draconic, destructive fundamentalist ideologies? The frustration of this yod is our inability to convince our leaders that feeding a bigger war machine does not makes us more secure. The power of this yod was clearly demonstrated yesterday as I watched 100,000 of my compatriots protesting for peace on the Washington Mall; cheering Cindy Sheehan, a true American patriot and heroine. We are at a global crossroad and the choices we make are gravely important for our future survival.

On a personal level, each of these configurations call each of us to come into relationship with our own responsibility to be a part of the solution and not part of the problem. If our own lives are full of conflict and dis-ease, how can we possibly rail against those who wreak havoc on a global level? Look within, get active, and shower love locally; your actions and intentions will reverberate out like waves in a pond, shifting the entropic downward spiral we see happening all around us.

The annular eclipse will heighten all the energies we have just delineated, making this a powerful Libra New Moon. For more information on the eclipse go visit NASA's awesome eclipse web site: http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/SEmono/ASE2005/ASE2005.html

Okay, all that said, let's move into our New Moon ritual working space of love and relationship. While it is true that most of us would rather be with others than alone, rarely are people taught the necessary skills for creating good relationships. Our "learn as you go along" approach to love often leads to painful and heartbreaking experiences. Your failed relationships may have taught you a lot, but have you learned enough to prevent making the same mistakes with someone new? Lots of people come for readings to find out when they will meet the right person. My first question is always, "Are you are getting out and meeting people?" Most of the time, the answer I hear is, "no." The crapshoot of dating brings up so much fear and keeps many people from doing it at all. We worry about what kind of person we will attract, about past history, baggage, character, integrity and trustworthiness. Though the unknown is scary, the truth is, love requires vulnerability and trust. So if you are ready for love, your main concern should be figuring out exactly what you want, and being strong enough to settle for nothing less.

Enter the New Moon in Libra! This is the perfect time, through ritual, to clearly define your qualifications for a relationship, and set the intention to make it happen. This ritual should be done in an environment that is comforting and full of romantic ambiance. Your bedroom is the ideal location. However, before you begin, clear the room of clutter and make it inviting by filling it with flowers, candles, and incense. You might even decide to invest in a new mattress or whole new bed as a symbol of a brand new start.

I recommend a New Moon in Libra ritual that revolves around serious list making. Libra is the communicator and this is the time to clearly communicate what you want, so the universe can line up behind your intention and make it a reality. (With Venus in Scorpio and Jupiter in Libra, you can find ways to be honest with yourself without being brutal.) Create your lists as though you are weaving a piece of fabric, using your mental and emotional energy to build intention with substance and form. Here are some list suggestions.

Lists for those of you who have yet to find "the right one":
List 1: What kind of partners have you attracted in the past that you don't want in your future?
List 2: What behavior of your own has contributed to the failure of your past relationships?
List 3: What kind of love do you deserve and why have you been unable to manifest it?
List 4: What kind of partner/relationship do you want in your future?
List 5: What new venues or activities will help widen your choice of perspective partners?
List 6: Now custom-build the right partner and be specific! Include their emotional capabilities, career, interests, character type, physical characteristics, and future goals.

Lists for those of you who have lost a wonderful partner and are ready for someone new.
List 1: Write all about your lost love: the great, the bad, the beautiful, and the ugly.
List 2: Write all about you. Who were you then, and who are you now?
List 3: What kind of person will fit who you have become?
List 4: What kind of relationship will fit who you are now?
List 5: Write about the fear of putting yourself out there.
List 6: What new venues or activities will help widen your choice of perspective partners?

End the ritual by making a commitment to begin taking action on the Aries Full Moon Partial Lunar Eclipse (October 17th). When you have finished, place the lists in a sacred place somewhere in your bedroom. Read the lists each day while the Moon is waxing to full. Don't be afraid to refine or edit the lists. It helps build the energy. Some people make collages that represent partners and new relationships. Anything that helps you to be clear about your desires is useful.

Those of you who are already in a relationship can use the Libra New Moon for building a stronger, deeper love. Venus in Scorpio and Mercury/Jupiter in Libra will help to increase the ability to be truthful with partners, while practicing deep listening from the heart. This is a great New Moon phase for working on problems, especially if they revolve around poor communication. Since Libra rules all forms of relating, this is not only applicable for couples, but also for family and work relationships. Libra revels in openness and sharing. So don't do this ritual alone! It takes at least two to make a relationship.

Use this ritual to build mutual intention toward healing your problems. Libra is the listener of the zodiac. The only way to achieve fairness and understanding is to share your feelings and then carefully listen to the feelings of others. Use this time to engage in meaningful discussions. Libra rules compromise and negotiation and helps us learn to get what we want while making the other party feel like the winner. Win/win is the way of Libra! This is a great time to work on troublesome family interactions and to set goals for creating more family time. If you are a manager, turn your New Moon morning meeting into a team exercise for setting new goals, and if need be, work on relational issues at the same time.

If money is one of those issues that creates a lot of conflict in your relationship, this is the New Moon to set new goals for budgeting, saving, and spending. With Chiron (wounding) in Capricorn (economic goals), Saturn (responsibility) in Leo (personal power and creativity), Venus (finances) in Scorpio (control issues, truthfulness, trust), Mars (action) in Taurus (personal security) and Mercury, Jupiter, Sun, and Moon in Libra (the communicator) this is the time to set goals to look deeply at what a secure financial future means? Don't be afraid to share your deepest fears and talk about the roots of conflict that stir arguments and misunderstanding around money issues. Vulnerability and honesty is the key to making this work a success.

The New Moon is Libra is a great time to caretake intimate relationships. Often the demands of work and parenting sidetrack many couples and make it hard to find private time for intimacy. Love needs tending to remain vibrant and strong. So use this night to do some caretaking, and revel in the joy of your love. Remember those goals you set way back in the beginning of your relationship? If they are still applicable, reinvigorate them and set new guidelines for achieving them through teamwork. If those old goals don't fit anymore, be creative and set new ones to fit who you have both become.

The New Moon in Libra is the perfect time to commit to creating a more peaceful life, especially when faced with mounting hatred and misunderstanding. Here is my own relationship "action list" that I will work to cultivate on this New Moon in Libra. Feel free to use it!

1. Learn to listen without interrupting.
2. Count to 10 before losing my temper.
3. Think before I speak.
4. Remember that compromise is the basic building block of all solutions.
5. Violence is never an appropriate response.
6. Embrace differences without being attached to them.
7. Remember that "the truth" is relative, but honesty about "my truth" is imperative.
8. If someone claims to be my enemy, they don't really know me, they only know who they think I am. It is my job to make them a friend by letting them get to know me.
9. Try to be objective about my own faults when criticizing others.
10. If I give a little, I get a lot. If I give a lot, I get more than I could ever imagine.
11. Saying and doing everything with love and respect is the only way to win.

These Libran principles are applicable to all our relationships, be they intimate, familial or professional. Think of how different our world would be if we all practiced these values. There is a higher way that does not include violence. This is the New Moon to remind yourself that all any of us ever really needs is love! And yes, you do deserve to be loved!!!

Bumping up...there's still time for wishes!

NEW MOON REMINDER... Monday, October 3, 5:29 am EST (6:29 am, EDST=Eastern Daylight Savings Time), is the New Moon Power Day in October! Don’t miss this opportunity to make wishes for experiences you’d like to have. This New Moon is especially powerful since it combines with a Solar Eclipse.

Because this New Moon is in the sign of LIBRA, it’s a potent time for new beginnings in your relationships. Among other things, Libra rules marriage and being a successful team player. An approach of cooperating with others naturally evokes their willingness to cooperate with you. Because the New Moon of October is in the sign of Libra it is an especially auspicious time for wishing to interact with more diplomacy, exercising tact and thus attracting harmony and mutual support into relationships that are important to you.

It is a good time to make wishes for renewing the excitement in an existing marriage. It is also the ideal New Moon for wishing to attract an appropriate marriage partner to you. Relationship experiences you may have wanted to happen in your life for a long time can begin easily manifesting through using the boost of this other-aware, diplomatic New Moon! For suggested wording of your wishes, consult the New Moon Power Days column in the member section.

Therefore in OCTOBER 2005, your most potent times for wishing are: Monday, October 3: 6:29 am - 12 midnight; Tuesday, October 4: 12:01am - 11:14 am - AND - 8:03 pm - 12 midnight. These times are in Eastern Daylight Savings Time. If you are observing Daylight Savings Time, simply convert directly into your time zone.
