Sometimes shallow is okay if he's around a lot, it depends on the guy AriesTiger is looking for, she just asked for men! She didn't say she wanted to be happy, the two are not the same, I don't see how, men contribute to everlasting happiness? Their intentions are their own, Natasha

Hello everybody! I agree with what Everlong said if you can't be true to yourself then why bother. We shouldn't have to play all these games just to catch a man? Because when the game is over and your left with this person that you basically duped into being with ask yourself was it really worth it? I don't mean to jump the gun here but that's probably why there's such a high divorce rate."Everything we see or seem is but a dream within a dream." POE Peace and Love IP: Logged |

Another speaking here.... quote: Practice crying, look helpless physically, not emotionally, Drop things, act happy to see a man like you are his puppy, smile a lot, sigh. Look unhappy, but beautiful.
Ughhhh!!!! If I have to do that I'd rather stay single!!! come on men, is that what you really want in a woman? (get a pet!!) I refuse to believe that there isn't a good proportion of guys who would be attracted to more..... IP: Logged |

ditto.. and yes there are men who don't want that in a woman, I know because my bf's one of them. I've met many others to though, not all men want that, but that is the stereotype I guess
Ariestiger, personally I have the opposite prob.. I WANT to be treated as a mate but I always get treated as "oh she's a girl I'll act differently around her". I'd much rather guys be straight forward with me and act the way they would with a mate. IP: Logged |

There's a lot of truth in the fact that initial attraction is really only of superficial value. From a male point of view. Yes if someone walks into the room and catches your eye - it is the way they look, which initially interests you. You know nothing about them, have never heard them speak - they may not even speak the same language? it is physical appearance which is the first indicator. Obviously we are each atttracted to different types, so not everyone will find that person equally as attractive. I've met, what I would say, some very attractive women but, within seconds of talking to them or watching their behaviour or attitude have gone off them straight away, irrelevant of their appearance. Secondly, I think the way they act, is important. If the way someone, moves, walks, acts in a certain way, then I become attracted to them. Of course, you can also become attracted to someones intelligence? the way they communicate, their knowledge of things etc.. but I think this would be more of a mercury in Gemini or Gemini or Mercury ruling planet type person who would find this the more prevalent trait. I personnaly don't find myself attracted to that many people. yes thay can be attractive and nice etc.. etc.. but I tend to hold back a lot until I know someone well enough to assess whether they are worth getting to know more intimately. Sorry gals, not much chances of a quick fling there then Ha Ha IP: Logged |

I am a Scorpio woman and attract quite a lot of men. I don't have that helpless thing that you guys mention (but then I have Aries rising). I went to a male healer a few times and the first time he treated me he said "you have something that men like". It took me a while to figure it and I feel it is the fact that my male energy is very strong - I identify with men more than women, and yet I am very feminine, but more in a bubbly and passionate way than a helpless female (I know Pisces women who have that damsel in distress thing and it irriates me ). So if this helps answer the question I am the type of Scorpio that sits in a music session with all men, and be one of them and yet at the same time I wouldn't threaten their maleness, I just feel equal and relaxed with them and far more comfortable than with women, but then again..............I do have an Aries fathe who had and has a great influence in my life. xxxxxIP: Logged |

Interesting perspective Sue GI too have Aries Asc, so know what you mean about that not seeming too helpless to the outside viewers? I like the comment on Pisces women - that is often quite true. My Gf is Pisces sun and she carries off the poor old innocent, swet, petite, lovely me, bit really well !!!! that sounded awful ha ha wasn't meant to IP: Logged |

Thanks Viper (love the name) for your comments about the Pisces females. My hubbie has one for a friend and I feel she really, at times, plays up to him, like the other night in the pub, I was singing and she was getting chatted up by a weird guy and she asked my hubbie to rescue her - yuck! Anyway him being a very kind Virgo one said to her "next time you will just have to walk away" and then he came back to sit with me. I really find this behaviour hard to deal with. Anyway I would love to hear what others think? Just for a laugh, that same night, I sang on my own in the pub and in Ireland everyone goes silent when you sing, I was nervous but determined to do it, and afterwards my husband came up to me and said "God Sue, you've got a big pair of balls". Best compliment I"ve ever had!!!!! And then looking back at the other woman, I thanked God for my Aries rising! And finally ladies, I never get into the habit of slagging men, even though I have been wed three times, I still think they are great craic - and after all you have to see things from their point of view, we all know at times, women can be, well.................deadly??? xxxIP: Logged |

p.s. Viper, what is your girlfriends ascendant, out of interest, and does the damsel in distress thing work okay with you being a pisces as well - I was curious! I think my Scorpio sun and Aries Asc make me very intolerant of women who act that way, isn't that terrible????IP: Logged |

Hi sue g/viper,Great to hear your comments!! I have a ton of Pisces in my chart, but the Aries in me won't allow me to be rescued - unless something goes wrong with the computer. My husband, being an Aquarius, is highly conversant with those sorts of things. I never used to ask him for help with anything, and he wished I would - more often, he was very used to his Cancer mother. He wishes I wasn't as independent as I am, sometimes!! Sue g, what sort of music do you play/sing? I do sort of experimental folk/country/Kate Bush stuff. BTW - what does "craic" mean? AriesTiger IP: Logged |

Hi Sue g, Thanks - the name was given by folks at work - but yeah, I like it too LOLShe has Sag rising, which makes it worse, in my eyes - that sort of easy come easy go, help me attitude - If one guy wont, another will? But then she also has Scorp moon, so as you know, can make it look and feel as if it really hurts!!! No it doesn't work, to be honest. Yes I find it very charming and sweet, when it's only used with me, but if she starts playing it with other guys, when I'm around, I find it quite out of sorts. Thing is she knows how to play it, or rather, she knows how to use it, which for a Sun, Moon Venus Piscean, all in the twelth, like me is not that sensible!! - But she is beautiful - as a person, not just my GF - so I tend to let her play without getting to freaked by it. It's the Venus in Aqua in her which really does freak me - all that help me - save me stuff - then suddenly - No Go Away, I'm fine thankyou???? drives me mad IP: Logged |

ok ok - why is there the occasional male bashing comments here? why the anger? why generalize?what attracts men- women who appreciate men and don't hate on us, and don't consider us the source of problems in and of itself because we are men (if you mean long term attraction). And, I dont think the male ego is a problem. Confident girls are appealing, and girls who arent fight provoking - defin a sign of lack of confidence I feel. Personality, good looks and a good sense of humor are attractive as well.

Hi Ariestiger, I sing trad Irish songs, like She Moved Through The Fair, Spancil Hill, Stor Mo Chroi, normally love songs, very haunting, very Irish. Craic means fun, when someone says are you going out for the craic, it means going out for a good time, which here, normally involves alcohol!!! The session is every Friday nite, mainly males playing all sorts of instruments, it is a beautiful place to be. I am learning the fiddle, albeit very slowly, but intend to join in when I'm able. My music teacher is lovely, a double Scorp with Pisces moon, a real sweetie and he likened me to the Banshee, when I protested he said "no I mean the mysterious woman" - ahh bless. Good to talk with you - sending Irish luck to all x x x IP: Logged |

Hi Viper, thanks for your answer - very interesting. I am afraid I squirmed a bit at the "helpless" Pisces thing - I can now think of three or four women with that similar trait. Sorry I hope you don't think me too outspoken. When you said about the Venus in Aquarius thing too I found that intersting - my husband has Moon there and he can be very detached which drives me mad yet at the same time can be quite alluring! Like I said before, having an Aries father, who was very extreme, strong and outspoken has been great for me - I am told often how feminine I am, but can't help feel in a way, a part of me is the son he never had.................luck from Ireland xIP: Logged |

Sue g, I'm a fellow Celt (half-Welsh actually!). I think music and Celtic genes go hand in hand. What you do sounds like great fun. I used to sing "She Moved Through The Fair" - a la Julianne Regan on the "All About Eve" self-titled LP, and loved a lot of the Clannad stuff. I also write folk-inspired/Tori-Amos-style songs, and play keyboard and guitar. If you like, you can email me at geetarwoman@yahoo.co.uk. IP: Logged |

viper, I have Sag rising, and 8th house moon, so I can understand the helpless female thing, its' automatic and comes from insecurity of having been left too many times before. Many times a man will use lines on a woman to off-load her, that stay in the back of her mind, once she forgets this stuff and dumps the ex for real, it gets better.remind her that her ex was a loser once in a while! not in those words of course, Good Luck, Natasha

Yes I have very blue eyes, I also have Mars and Neptune on the Ascendant, both trying to "live" in the same house, I am usually attracted to Venus in Pisces, or Pisces Moon, Sun or Rising men. Jealousy is always a problem, both ways.Natasha

Natasha,Lucky your over there then! - Sun /Moon/ Vunus/ Mercury/ North node / Juno - all in Pisces - ha ha Seriously though, why do you think jealousy is always a problem?? All my piscean stuff is in the twelth house - and venus there can be a struggle at times - specially when things are going bad, in that dept: I do become jealous at times I guess but I think it's a real fear factor more than anything - don't know?? what do you think?? Hey Archer - yeah you could be right on that one, or is it more a case of Sagitarians are more likely to find these types, attractive? IP: Logged |
