OK I have a serious crush on this guy! *sluurp* His birthday's 5th April 1973, (which of course makes him a sexy Ram) but does anyone know what time he was born and where? I think I read that it might be virginia but Im not sure.... I've searched around for his birth time without much luck... I am dying to know what his moon and rising signs are - (I wonder if 'Neptunes' is a reference to a piscean influence or something! IP: Logged |

(I'm a "he", Mystic.)I changed it because it is what I had intended to say. It is a fact that Pharrell is widely adored by whitegirls, who obviously find him a non-threatening alternative to the more stereotypical black male presence we find in the hip-hop community. IP: Logged |

Did not want to say anything bc I did not want to offend anyone since that has been happening here alot lately, but white girls do seem to be into him alot. I was reading somewhere where Chritina Agulair and Jade Jagger Mick Jaggers Daughter were about to go to blows over him at a party. He of course was with Jade Jagger and left with her. I am a black girl he's not on the top of my list though. I think that he is cute in his own way but Im not ga ga over him.. IP: Logged |

Pharrell is pleasant to look at but he's not my favorite male celeb (I much prefer the British celebs.) My cousin on the other hand is a completely different story, she thinks Pharrell's hot stuff. I wonder what makes him less intimidating... IP: Logged |

hey moonshine, pharrell is ma boo too. so hot, so fine and I love the fact that he loves his womens.google 'pharrell williams birth chart', or 'pharrell williams moon sign' or something cos its there. I checked it out a while back; says his moon is in taurus and his venus is in aries. I think his mars in in aqua. All of which makes him hot He is less threating that the average black male because he is a lighter shade of black, his features are more european than african and he is an ever-so-delicious fusion of hiphop extrodinaire and cute, li'l skater boy. Nothing complicated there. Just like Beyonce. Though she does heels, not wheels. IP: Logged |

Heart shaped cross: " It is a fact that Pharrell is widely adored by whitegirls, who obviously find him a non-threatening alternative to the more stereotypical black presence we find in the hip-hop community."And? What does it matter whether white girls like him or not? why was it important to mention? I only want to know his vital stats (ahem, astrologically speaking) I'm an Asian girl (not that its relevant) and I admire him because not only is he beautiful, but he is creative, and also appears to have a lot "up top" too (he went to a school for gifted kids). All that is a very sexy combination to me. Thanks for the info Danny! Mars in Aqua huh? I have that too. Explains why he can get through so many girls!! He probly hates been tied down. I also get a Piscean vibe from him. No offence to you Danny — I do understand what you're saying — but to say he seems less threatening than the average black male becuase he looks more european is a bit offensive in my opinion. Also i don't think he looks very european at all, to me his 50% Philippino roots show through very strongly. There are many reasons for his popularity - personally i think he's a sensitive soul underneath all that 'bling' (which is probably why i think he gives off that fishy vibe) Or maybe I'm just dreaming! That's neat- I can add it to my stuff I learn about celebrities list...I love Pharrel's music.... who likes the song 'Maybe'? That's one of my alltime favourite songs.... as for fancying him... well, I have a thing for all Aries guys.... they're all lovely IP: Logged |

moonshine -Not sure why I thought it worth mentioning, but I certainly don't consider it a subject to shy away from. Three people now have made mention of their own ethnicity in this connection, which, to me, is far more irrellevent than my own observation. I'd just like to point out that, when I say "threatening", I am referring, not to an objective characteristic, but, to a perception, that is, a perceived threat. All overtly dominant masculine presences can potentially appear threatening to young girls, and, in the society I live in, this phenomenon is markedly pronounced among anonymous young white women and high-profile black men. It is the nature, not of the individuals concerned, but, of the society we spring from, and the conditioning we have been subject to, which, though it may be regrettable, ought not, I think, to be denied. Pharrell is clearly in touch with his feminine side, and this, I'm sorry to say, is not altogether common among men, especially in the hip-hop community. Do I have to argue for the fact that the hip-hop community is predominantly black? hsc IP: Logged |

I dont see why this thread has turned into a discussion about black men/white girls/society at large, thats all. When i opened the topic I wanted to discuss him astrologically, in relation to his music and his career - when I returned the topic had changed to one about black men. That's what I dont see as relevant. So he's black, so what? I didnt want to start a debate about his race/influences on the white population. He's a guy i admire thats all. Can we not discuss a celebrity without the fact that he's black being the first thing anyone comments on? Its certainly not a subject to shy away from, but it wasnt my intention. I mentioned my own ethnicity in relation to your comment about white girls (of course, you weren't to know what I am). For some reason I felt your original comment was directed at me. "Do I have to argue for the fact that the hip-hop community is predominantly black? " You're trying to turn this topic into something it isnt. Anyway, I dont want to argue HSC, I've read a lot of your posts and respect your opinions in general ... I just didnt see the relevance to this one, thats all. IP: Logged |

moonshine, i hear ya. I didnt mean to say he is less threatening in that way. I was just giving a retort to the post. I'm black and have two brothers who are wholesome, good looking, african men. very cuddly too.SO he is half phillipino hey? Fancy that.

Fair enough. But, I don't think any thread should be characterized by a dogmatic adherence to the original topic. We ought to be free to associate what comes naturally, and threads, like real-life conversations, should be allowed to develop organically, according to what comes, and not according to the dictates of the originator. If my comment struck you as out of line, it could be that you expected of me a formality which I do not observe. My comment was informal and off-hand, and not intended to signify a matter of profound consequence. You may be attributing to it a significance which I never intended. Race, like everything, is a relevant topic, and I will not avoid it as if it were taboo. That, to me, would be no less misguided than if I were to afford the subject a place of undue significance. I think you imagined that I was doing just that, and I can certainly sympathize with your reaction, in that respect. In any case, the topic inspired discourse. You replied, I replied, people replied... Like you, I see no reason to drag it out, but, neither do I wish to stiffle its further expression. I wish only to make myself understood, and, with this last post, I hope that I have, and we can move on. If not, then I would only welcome further discussion. sincerely, Heart-Shaped Cross IP: Logged |

No thats fine HSC, I am not formal but I dont mean to be dogmatic... Growing up as an asian in Britain, race issues is something I have grown up with. I was feeling, not exactly defensive as such, but I did get a feeling of ' Oh here we go again' when I read this topic. But no hard feelings eh Danny: People: carry on expressing your love for the man! I don't want this thread to die a premature death! IP: Logged |

If we want to get back onto the astrology side of this disscussion, I think it's worth mentioning, in reference to what someone said earlier, that nearly ALL Aries men are in touch with their feminine side for some reason... they are supposedly the tough macho sign of the zodiac and yet nearly all the ones I know cross-dress (which, hey, I'm completely not apposed to!).... interesting theory if anyone wants to disscuss...?IP: Logged |
