i understand your view because it is preached so much, it has been told to me so many times,

but tolerance is what you are trying to tell me,

tolerance is different from saying 'you're right' . tolerance is the willingness to allow freedom of expression , and even protect another persons freedom of expression when you dislike or disagree with it, note: protect and allow, not *Promote*. i truly do think that it is 'wrong' , however that does not mean i am judging a person but like i said, a behavior, a lifestyle.

a lot of pornography, which is just images of women being subjected, is considered illicit and can be traced to computers, etc. people can be fired for looking at these things or can go through trouble for it because of the way it degrades women. because women consent to it does not make it correct it only makes it more dangerous. there were definitely slaves who consented to slavery but that did not make the institution lawful. if you read the legislation regarding pornography, it closely follows along prostitution. i cannot find it right now but i will post an article, written by some active feminist political and philosophical scholars. i am not saying that i am 'feminist', but that there is a reason this legislation passed on in a heavily male dominated government. it has specific stipulations regarding S&M pornography.

it is degrading to women, and it is manipulative to a partner regardless of whether the person consents or not. some people are not in a mental state to consent. some children consent to molestation and incest but it is not considered consent. when you have mentally brainwashed a person they do not remain the 'average citizen' that the law uses to test legalities with.

I hope i am making sense. I am not judging. it is easy to be an ethical subjectivist--and say, well anyone can believe anything, and i am not going to judge.

i am not going to judge, but i am going to clearly state why this behavior can be harmful. because it can.

and in my uncles family the dominance/submission game started the night of his marriage, my aunt described to my mother how shocked she was at the torturous sex games he played with her.

and i dont think it is dangerous because i am not involved in it personally. i think it is because the ramifications of it on individuals invovled can be much more harmful. it does not harm me , nor do i gain benefit by its not being practiced.

I love the colors and clothes some are wild,some formal.I don't know they are kind of my clothes.

Actually they were with Mags so it was more like a clothes brochure/catalogue or something.I just find they have some bunch of good clothes,

The game I referred to is Second Life (www.secondlife.com). You would have to probably both join the game, and ask people's astrological signs (or birthdays) to find what I've found, but if you're interested I'll tell you how to look me up in SL (Second Life), and I'll bring around to all of my Cancerian women friends.

I'm gonna start another thread for those people who got off subject on the tangent I created.

I thought maybe that has got to do something related to our charts.I guess it's always easy to find something similar to ourselves.I mean I am a scorp and it doesn't take me too long to find another scorp.

So I thought since you can identify a virgo there must be some virgo there.Well it's a theory which just came up.You had some virgo in your chart.It was just totally random.Didn't use any logic.Intution.

whiterabbit, i dont see S&M as a 'type of sexuality'. its a frame of mind, a mentality.

one behavior is not necessarily separate from the other. some of the most sexual things are not sexual at all-nuances, verbal behavior, etc. so how would you separate someone talking to someone a certain way, that is D/S, from sexual behavior? do you think its always clear that its sexual and not nonsexual? its not in the minds of most D/S people. i am not speaking from judgement on them but just things that we read in sociology, and studies conducted in the past. now i know that none of them are 'conclusive'. but there are overwhelmingly unified conclusions one can reach about these things from the studies of psychologists and sociologists. now, all mental states , even abnormal psychology is so controversial and there are NO Studies to 'PROVE' anything that exists in our head. (like, the question of whether god exists or not, which is mainly, a mental frame of mind). but you can say that psychological/sociological evidence and studies and theories overhwelmingly point in one direction.

yes i did and can compare it to child molestation etc. because i am talking about the maturity of the mind who is being dominated. there is lots of unhealthy behavior that is done in 'consenting' condition. that is what i was taling about.

why does society stop people or try to prevent them from committing suicide etc? you go to any counselor and they will tell u, 'Our meetings are confidential unless you pose a threat to yourself or to anyoneelse.....blah blah blah' in the confidentiality agreement. the CONCEPT is that if anyone is posing a harm to themselves or society , society has to intervene.

I think it is pretty obvious that someone is being mentally /physically dominated in BDSM and that this kind of emotional dominance is using one person at the expense of anothers. If you've read Kant or other philosophers you've probably also read in many many places about using people as means towards an end, versus treating people as ends themselves. the first is all about using a person for your own pleasure, and the second for respect. I think its obvious that BDSM falls into the first and thus poses a mental/sexual harm, it poses a harm into forming peoples mentalities and behaviors into harmful submissive patterns.

If a person doesnt know that they are being abused, or they are mesochistic, doenst make it acceptable. that just means they need to be educated about it and taught how to break the cycle and get healthy outlets for their sexual energy. There are actually women who like being dominated in other areas of life also--whether it be anything as little as being insulted or told to stay barefoot and preggos, or to be phsyically beaten.

ANY kind of submission of another at the expense of exalting ones own power is wrong. life is not power games. i dont see how anyone could not see how unfairly BDSDM exploits ones power--makes one human powerless and a slave and another a 'master'.

Ford's eyes are watery, and I've seen other cancer eyes similar to his...mine are also kind of watery like his..
