Hello all,I found this while I was browsing the other day by Georgia Stathis, I copied and pasted the asteroid parts, it is quite interesting to say the least. A question though, how powerful are the asteroids in comparison to luminaries and planets in synastry? I mean if we want to look into soul mate indicators for example, should we add PSYCHE conjunction, for instance? Just thinking in a loud voice, please enjoy the read and try them on the astro.com EXTENDED CHART! Sexual and Relationship Asteroids: * Juno/Hera - The Goddess of Marriage and commitment in relationships. Check synastry for connections. Transits and progressions can signify timing of marriage. * Aphrodite - indicates attraction in synastry. *Adonis - an attractive male. What your ideal male is. What is your Adonis by sign and house? * Eros - God of erotic love. Represents what turns you on, sexual attraction. * Lust - Sexually motivated, lustful. Lascivious personality or behavior. Non-committed sex. President Clinton has Lust conjunct his ASC, as does Gene Simmons of KISS. * Cupido - Indicator of sexual attraction in synastry. Matchmaker, vain, romantic. * Nymphe - An overly-sexed individual. An indicator of sexual addiction. * Casanova - Apromiscuous male. Seducer of women. A player, uncommitted. * Bacchus/Dionysus - Sexual orgies, groupies, highly sexual and unrestrained. * Sappho - Can be an indicator of same sex attraction, especially in a woman’s chart. * Ganymede - An indicator of same sex attraction between men. Ganymede was the lover of Zeus. * Amor - Unconditional love, how you express it. Medical Asteroids: *Apollo - God of healing, teacher to Chiron and Father of Asklepios. * Aescualpia (Asklepios or Askalaphus) - God of healing. Taught by Chiron; can indicate a healer as well as timing for medical attention. * Hygeia - Goddess of health and hygiene. Refers to cleanliness and health efforts, well being. * Panacea - Goddess of cures. The “cure-all,” remedies. All types of cures, from conventional to alternative. * Makhaon - Son of Asklepius, he is associated with surgery; can indicate timing of surgery by transit or progression. * Podalerios - Son of Asklepius; associated with the healing of invisible wounds, the healing of the soul and of the mind/body. *Reiki - Represents energy healing, healing with chakras, and psychic healing. Psychic Asteroids: *Apollo - The god of Prophecy and oracle. *Hekate - An oracle prophetess who spoke to those on the other side, and relayed the messages (a medium). Indicator of mediumistic abilities. * Psyche - means soul, had telepathic and clairaudient abilities. * Poseidon - Similar to Neptune, psychic phenomena. * Kassandra - The prophetess of doom. No one believed her prophecies. *Pythia - priestess of the Delphic oracle. Relates to those who interpret; dreams, Tarot cards, runes, tea leaves etc. * Erda - Seer knowing the orgin and outcome of everything. Sylvia Browne has this conjunct Uranus. IP: Logged |

WaterNymph, hmmmm I would imagine no, but maybe in the sense if you HAD to look it up to see what's your Casanova type? As in which Casanova you are attracted to? Intellectual Casanova (cerberal seduction) Athletic Casanova....etc! Just a guess... I don't know much about the aspects but I am going with my instincts and from what I know generally, try and look for conjunctions or opposites -- they are more powerful. I am assuming aspects between Venus, Moon or Neptune, and asteroids are quite important, I ignored Mars on purpose because it is more of an energy indicator but not feelings per se. I hope it helps! WaterNymph, you are most welcome! ...and as far as Adonis conjunct Casanova, I would say Knowledge is Power in that case! lol I still think that a PSYCHE conjunct PSYCHE is a strong indication of soulmate! Although I never found anything on it yet! This is a site I found on minor planets, asteroids. I hope you all find it useful. http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/7969/page4a.htm

Pixie, Venus opposed Pluto. Enough said. Spells F A T E, in my humble opinion. I have experienced that, I have experienced the Venus conjunct pluto as well, nothing feels fated more than Venus-Pluto aspects, especially the conjunctions and oppositions. Nothing, except maybe Psyche conjunct Psyche, which I am trying to prove! Smiles, IP: Logged |

Is it weird that I don't really pay attention to the asteroids? I hardly even pay attention to Chiron...and only the bit that I do, because I read somewhere that some people think it might be the true ruler of Virgo, and I have a Virgo rising.IP: Logged |

Would lust conj. someone's venus & moon be a good aspect? I have lust in scorpio exactly conjuncting my boyfriend's moon and 3 degrees away from his venus. He has always called me his "seductress" because he says the looks I give him are seducing. Wow and I just realized his lust is 1 degree away from my aquarius sun. Awesome IP: Logged |

Neptune's Muse -I remember a discussion on this a while back, and what was it again? .... something about an Aspect between the woman's Eros to the man's Psyche? Or was it the woman's Psyche to the man's Eros? Something about that type of crossover Aspect in Synastry involving specifically Eros & Psyche ... ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |

Thanks for bumping this.A couple of comments. Sappho (80) often is thought of indicating same-sex sexual relationships, but I've yet to see good evidence of that. I've noticed that Sappho cross aspects between female-female and female-male platonic friends often occur. So my inclination is that this asteriod indicates significant platonic friendship between a woman and another person more than anything sexual. Look for exact aspects with Sappho. Ex 1: My closest gal friend through most of high school had her Mercury exact conjunct my Sappho and her Sappho exact conjunct my Pluto. There was never anything sexual about our friendship, but we were very close. Ex 2: My closest male friend in high had his Sappho exact trine my Neptune and my Sappho exact sextile his moon. Ex 3: A young girl with who I have an unconventional yet completely non-sexual "big sister" relationship has her Leo Sun exact conjunct her Sappho. She's tomboyish, very atheletic, but she definitely likes boys. Her Sun-Sappho conjunction falls in my 11th house, and is exact semisextile my Sappho and exact sextile my Uranus. Ex 4: The friend with who I've had the closest and longest friendship has her Sappho in my 11th and exact sextile my Venus. My Sappho exact conjuncts her MC, exact sextiles her moon and exact squares her Jupiter. I don't know how Sappho may work in male-male platonic friendships - that's something I haven't gotten around to doing yet. The other thing is AJ's comments about Psyche (16). Yes Psyche is being looked at more and more in regards to romantic relationships, but I'm finding that Psyche can facvtor in positively with any close relationship. Most interstingly, I've seen a lot of good Pysche cross aspects between parents and children who have good, loving relationships. Positive cross-aspects with Pysche seems to indicate "soul nuturing" between teh two people, regardless of the nature of their relationship. Psyche has been a more recent interest of mine, so I don't have a lot of data. But one interesting contact I discovered was with the Sun-Sappho girl I mentioned above - her Venus is exact conjunct my Psyche and falls in my 9th. A lot of our interaction does revolve around me being a kind of spiritual and intellectual role model for her - we talks about "big" things a lot. Also between this girl and her loving, doting father, they have his Psyche exact square her moon and exact quincinux her Sappho/Sun (according to Magi astrology, a configuration composed of a square, a trine and a quincunx is very powerful, although Magi astrrology doesn't use Sappho or Psyche to my knowledge). They do have a very close bond. Her Psyche exact squares his MC and falls in his 6th - his life literally revolves around her, and he's even changed careers so he could spend more time with her. In regards to seuxal or romantic relationship, Pysche-Eros cross aspects or composite aspects do seem significant. This makes sense - if Psyche indicates "soul nuturing," then when aspected with Eros, that nuturing may take a more romantic or sexual nature.
