I have Saturn at the 29th degree in my first house, and am currently having my Saturn return.

What should I be expecting?

Saturn returns are usually not so hard for first house Saturns.

You have Saturn qualities in your personality.(reliable, responsible, etc.) that deals with Saturn comfortably on a daily basis.

Along with tests, Saturn can bring rewards.

The 29th degree is fated
you might want to think twice before getting inked or pierced right now. (both being permenent)

With Saturn anaretic in Cancer, look at transits to the (natal) Moon.

Currently my Saturn is Returning into the 7th house of marriage... (Permanent partnerships)

Keep in mind I already have Saturn at the "fated" 29th degree in my first house of "personal identity"...

Once Saturn returns it will be joining my Natal Sun which also sits in my 7th house.

This position alone would point to my "personal identity" being defined by a marriage.

(Ex, Princess Diana had her sun in the 7th house.)

I think this is why every astrologer and their cat has told me to expect my future husband.

(crosses fingers) Please be cute! Please be cute! Or at least better looking than Charles!!!!

Hey i still don't get this 29 deg. stuff!

What does it actually imply to have a planet at 29 deg. of a sign?
Does that mean you are greatly influenced by that planet? or by that sign?
I have uranus at 29 deg in Scorpio.
So is my uranus strong? Will i then have aquarian like qualitiies?

And LEYLA, what do you mean by ''fated'' 29deg.?
Please enlighten me too.

One more question please .

Does the house in which the 29 deg planet appears has any significance too?
For example i have uranus at 29 deg. in scorpio in th 7th house. How do i read that?

quote:
Planets at 0 or 29 Degrees of a Sign:

The 29th degree always brings a great fullness of whatever that sign represents. For example, Venus at 29 degrees Pisces would have compassion, intuition, refined aesthetic sense, spiritual and romantic love. I find the focus is very much on the sign in question, in this example Pisces, and then when the planet goes into the next sign by transit or progression, there is a big burst of energy, a mini-explosion into a new area, a new way of being.

Planets at 29 degrees and at 0 degrees are very powerful, one in an experienced, confident, even masterful way, and the other in a fresh, innocent, and impulsive way that demands attention.

Now in a natal chart, the 29 degree planet will likely progress to 0 degrees of the next sign fairly soon after birth, so both influences operate. The person still has all the 29 degree sign experience for the course of the lifetime, yet branches out and moves into the new sign as well, giving lots of possibilities since adjacent signs are quite different.

Later, the planet may progress into yet another sign, which adds even more richness and complexity to the way the person creates his life. We pick up so much experience and perspective as we go along, this makes for a very rich lifetime if we can appreciate it.

I have venus/asc at 29..and I can relate to both signs more or less..that interpretation made sense to me

There's this as well: http://karma.astrology.com/anaretic2.html

thanks a ton ARIESCHICK!

What you said made sense. but does that mean the planet in question is not that important,in your case venus, for example?

Do you consider the Venusian qualities too or just the pisean influence for yourself?

Hey Algysh

lol that was quoting from the site I posted a link to. My venus isn't Pisces. It's Aries 29 and Asc Gem 29 and both have both Taurus and Cancer traits IMO.. My venus especially I see the taurus there a lot..I'm not all for 'initiating' relationships..I kinda let things happen on their own, and slowly lure someone not outright go after them - actually I don't think I've ever done that and that is a pretty Aries Venus thing.. I really don't feel comfortable chasing, if anything I like to be chased..if the roles are reversed it usually makes me very very uncomfortable and I abandon the "fling" "thing" "relationship" "date" whatever it is.. but maybe that's also a cautious cappy moon thing where if the other person doesn't make it obvious they are interested I'd rather not even go there. And lol another thing..I actually resent (romanticaly) guys who want to be chased, it puts me off for some reason..I guess it takes away from their masculinity in my mind. The perfect guy for me would be someone who is mature, in tune with his emotions and not afraid of expressing them and likes to show affection, hug etc (my bf is a lot like this)..not the "cocky" "chase me" "chase me I'm so good" type.. that really doesn't sit well with my emotional/romantic nature..I completely resent that in a guy.

So I'm thinking since Aries is so big on the chase romantically and I'm not ..I'm guessing my venus is more taurean

how can you have your Saturn return in the 7th house if natal Saturn is in the 1st?

lala- I knew that was going to confuse somebody. I was just waiting.

My saturn is returning, it's about to move into my seventh house. And I was born with Saturn at the 29th degree in my first house.

I guess they don't have to return to the same house.

According to astro.com my saturn returns July 2, 2005 until July 18, 2005

a Saturn return is when Saturn completes a full cycle and comes back to where it sits in the natal, for you at 29 Cancer in the 1st house which would make your Ascendant late Gemini or Cancer.

Even by progressions its to far to travel to put it in your seventh house. What degree is your Ascendant?

I think I see what's going on here...

I'm no expert, but I read somewhere recently that there are 4 different parts to planetary returns
1. The transiting planet squares the natal placement
2. The transiting planet opposes the natal placement
3. The transiting planet squares the natal placement from the other side
4. The actual return, the transiting planet is back where it started when you were born!

So, you're experiencing part 2, not the actual return yet. Is that correct?
Sorry I don't have more info about what this "means"! I recently experienced part 3 of my Saturn return.

After seeing another post by you, Leyla, and thinking about what I wrote, I'm going to say I think you ARE experiencing part 4, the actual Saturn return!

You wrote that your natal Sun is in Aquarius and the 7th house, and that your natal Saturn is in the 1st house and at the 29th degree (of which sign?) of Cancer, probably - since the 1st house is opposite the 7th house and 29 deg Cancer is pretty much opposite Aquarius.

I don't understand why you say Saturn is returning to your 7th house though???
It seems like Saturn would have been in your 7th house when it was in Cap/Aqua in about 1991!

Again, according to Astro.com Saturn is leaving my sixth house and moving into my seventh.

I think that goes for every Aquarius.

And you were right, Saturn in my first house is in cancer.

And my ascendant is Cancer, at 16 degrees.

I'm 29, so this is my first saturn return.
You have one about every 29 years.

Current Planets
2-Jul-2005, 12:31 UT/GMT
Sun 10 Cancer 43' 4"
Moon 25 Taurus 53' 7"
Mercury 5 Leo 54'50"
Venus 5 Leo 11'31"
Mars 13 Aries 53'50"
Jupiter 10 Libra 0'38"
Saturn 28 Cancer 12'58"
Uranus 10 Pisces 38'34"r
Neptune 17 Aquarius 7'44"r
Pluto 22 Sagittarius 42'15"r
TrueNode 19 Aries 21'23"r
Chiron 1 Aquarius 40'34

So right now Saturn is at 28 Deg in Cancer. Your ascendant is 16 deg Cancer..which makes your 1st house Cancer..therefore Saturn is now in your 1st and moving to your 2nd ..it isn't in your 7th.

quote:
I have Saturn at the 29th degree in my first house, and am currently having my Saturn return.

yes Saturn natally is in your first house at 29 deg Cancer.. transiting saturn is at 28 deg Cancer..so you are experiencing your saturn return..NOT in the 7th though ..because a saturn return is (like lalalinda and Lemingtyne just said) when saturn returns to the position it has in your chart and for you that is 29 deg cancer in the 1st house

quote:
Again, according to Astro.com Saturn is leaving my sixth house and moving into my seventh.

Paste where it says that because you got confused with something, I'm not sure what exactly but that litteraly *can't be* since saturn is in Cancer and you have Cancer in the 1st not the 7th

Your 7th is Capricorn. There are no transits through Capricorn at the moment..so nothing in your 7th..

To find your transits..under FREE HOROSCOPES at astro.com..down the list click on Extended Chart Selection ..under the "Please Select the type of Chart you want" drag thingy..select "natal chart and transits" that gives you your chart and the current transits on the outside.

Once you get your chart you can also click on "click to get additional tables" in the upper right hand corner, because that'll give you tables for your natal aspects and aspects you have by transit etc..
http://www.astro.com/astrology/in_aspect_e.htm?xrn=11203085710.441954814204113

that's an outline of all the symbols used for the aspects in the tables.. so you don't get confused
http://www.astro.com/astrology/in_planets1_e.htm?xrn=11203085760.548790014655427

and that one's for the planet symbols

great work lemingtyme and Aries Chick!

Leyla what you're getting ready for is the opposition from transiting Saturn (when it enters Leo) to your natal Sun. (in the 7th)

algysh, your Uranus in Scorpio is exalted and in the 7th very strong. An unconventional partner appeals to you.

Tranquil Poet, you too sweetie, your Moon is exalted in Taures a very coveted place for the Moon. Thank your lucky stars.
As much as I like Gemini, the Moon there talks continuously and its a bit to much sometimes.

I get it now
your looking up Aquarius Sun which is like looking up Aquarius Ascendant.
The wheel starts on the degree of the Sun which would put transiting Saturn (approaching) the 7th house of Leo (being opposite of Aquarius)
