I do not know much about runes....and I am sure VERY few people here know what it all means.

However, thank you as always for posting some interesting reading and exploration material!

The word came from IPeter 4:11. The text became for me a litmus test for the legitimacy of the Runes. To paraphrase IPeter: All things oracular must be used to the end that God may be glorified in all things. Peter counseled Christians to use the oracular with gravity and authority, as a transmission of divine truth rather than for the gratification of personal desires.

Making your own set of Rune Stones, is a wonderful idea, your taking something from Mother Earth, and asking for Divine assistance, I love em, I've found them to be very helpful.

I am just getting into runes. I love your home-made pebble set... it makes me want to go to the seaside to collect my own May go for a day out now the Summer rush is over. Probably to Whitby (my fave haunt).

had a thought .. that If knowflakes were to make/aquire their own sets .. then some of their astro questions could very well be answered by the runes .. ... be somewhat quiker than figuring out all the astro stuff into one picture .. .. then the rune answers / advice could be double checked and compared to the astrology setup .. ..

.. it might be interesting to compare rune results .. .. one of trivial nature .. they never fail to let me know of a received message or email or phone call ..

Touch .. as far as i know 'Dagaz' and 'Wunjo' in my set .. be that 'whitby jet black' material .. .. have been told that it comes from tree resin ( like amber) ... .. i put the scan of those pebs on the page .. to illustrate how simple/plain they are .. many of the etchings have rubbed smooth .. they still 'talk' ..

i think they may be known as celtic runes as well .. but there could be differences ... ...
