Just met this girl who's a Capricorn sun Cancer moon, any info on personality- general or specific, likes, dislikes, characteristics in guys that are appreciated, etc.. would be great. Im a Libra sun/ Sag moon/ virgo asc if anyone would have any compatability info or experiences I would like to know please. Thanks!

Here's my in-depth analysis on having a Cap Sun/Cancer Moon: As a Capricorn, we are ambitious, classy, loyal, practical, reserved, kinda quiet. My Cancer moon makes me sweet, nurturing, very sensitive and moody but my Cappie sun has pride so my sensitive side is hidden behind a tough, aloof, independent disposition. Its not easy having this Moon placement because Cancer is the polar opposite to Capricorn so I have a Sun-Moon opposition. This makes me sometimes hate my sensitive side, because as a Capricorn we tend to dislike heavy emotions (but Cancer moon is emotional). It is sometimes very difficult to talk about how I feel, but as long as I feel secure with you, my Cancer Moon will divulge how I'm feeling. We may seem kinda cold to some, but that is just a facade because deep down we are passionate souls with earthy sex drives. We are slow to show affection, and prefer it when a guy doesn't come on to us too fast and strong (slow & steady is preferred). I don't committ fast, but the Libra guys I dated always moved too fast physically and talked about love too early (yet their love seemed shallow, compared to the deep love my Cancer moon is capable of).

In relationships, we like honesty, trust, respect, security (very important to my insecure Cancer moon), unconditional love, and committment. We ask for alot, but that's because we give alot. In a committed relationship, we are devoted, loyal and would do almost anything to please our man. I will not tolerate any kind of infidelity, dishonesty, or deception. Sometimes I may even subtly test a guy to see if I can trust him, because EMOTIONAL SECURITY is so very important! You cannot tell us enough how beautiful we are, how much you love us, we love sincere compliments and need reassurance & affection often. I do not fall in love fast, it takes a long time but when in love, my love is very deep, passionate, and devoted. I am very supportive of my man. When in love, I love romance and thrive on it. We like to be pursued, we don't make first moves, kinda traditional when it comes to courtship. We like strong, ambitious, affectionate men but being bossy or domineering is a major turn-off.

The Cancer Moon makes us intuitive (you can't fool us for long) and empathic (I can sense & absorb other people's feelings\ moods so being around negative people really affects my mood swings). Because the transits of the Moon affect our moods so much, we may withdraw to deal with our sullen mood swings. This means I may not answer my phone or be social when I'm moody, but as soon as the mood passes I return calls and be social again. The right man would know how to cheer me up (so I might not even need to withdraw) and Libra men are very good at that. Because I am independent and strong, it is hard for me to ask others for help so if a man sees I need help, if he can offer his help without me asking, that's great. We are kinda self-conscious, and social acceptance is important so if we are the butt of anyone's joke, we won't be laughing.

What I dislike about Libra men: Lying (honesty is very important and Libras tend to avoid conflicts by telling you what you want to hear), committment (the Libras I know always had to have a relationship but were too flirty, and weren't devoted & loyal), too social (social is good but didn't make enough time to be with me), and they were a little vain (I like masculine men, metrosexuals are a turn-off). Being indecisive is a minor turn-off.

What I like about Libra men: you guys are so cheerful, charming, and funny. This really helps to bring out my cheerful, positive, social side. You are diplomatic and tactful (something my Saggi Mercury really needs to learn). You appreciate beautiful, artistic things, and you're affectionate.

One last thing, be reliable and consistent. If you are going to say "I'll call you tomorrow", make sure you do call! Earn your trust with us because it is not easily given. We don't like games and tend to get attached fast so when we really like you, any form of rejection can really hurt our sensitive souls. We won't show you how hurt we are but if you do hurt us badly, we will simply walk away and never look back. Breakups are very difficult for me to cope with, especially if I was in love. So after a breakup, I'll withdraw into my shell and won't date for a while. Then I will be very cautious & tough with the next man (sometimes they think I'm playing hard to get but its not that).

These are just my personal experiences, I know everyone is different and unique so I hope nobody would be offended by my generalizations. I would like to hear the experiences of other Cap sun/Cancer moon folks!

Honestly, I am naturally apprehensive about Caps, but she seems nice. I think its the cardinal/cardinal thing, and from what I can see we would likely have a sun (libra) moon(cancer) square in synastry, not one of my fave aspects. So Im sorta torn, since she seems nice and I dont want to go through another 'bad' relationship. Yea, I can understand the need for emotional security, I think I can provide that, but I am cautious of the social/material pride thing, and dont like those traits. I am one of those ppl who would try to go for the big one vs having a steady job so income could fluctuate. I have a craving for excitement vs stability in general, but I am loyal, and only need to be with one girl. Im not much into small talk which does affect how social I am, depending. I can be quite intense! I also wonder if there is too much cardinality there, and if we may butt heads a lot. My chart is:

I know my Venus in Sag makes me very reluctant to settle down unless I know the guy is very right for me. I love my freedom & independence so I prefer light, casual friendships instead of dating. Maybe you should get to know her in a friendly way, and see if there's a connection. Once I connect with a guy, my emotional Cancer moon takes over and I committ with devotion, but it usually takes having a friendship first with the guy. I can be flighty and flirty but once I settle down, I pay no attention to other men. She has alot of water & fire in her chart, including that Pluto in Scorpio so she's probably intense.

Even if there's a Sun-Moon square, it doesn't mean its doomed, it will take effort to work things out. Have you tried a composite chart with her info? Even though birth time is unknown, I've found it to be accurate but incomplete because of no house & ascendant information.
