There are many ways you can get memories from a past life. They can be from dreams, meditation, hypnosis and visions things of that sort. You can tell the difference from regular dreams and past life memories. They are more like reliving a memory than just dreaming a dream. Detail is usualy the key, if you get names and dates that you can look up in a genealogy data base or in census records its good evidence that its a memory not just a dream.

Well this is a lousy scenario...

I have venus and saturn retro... to top it off they are both in their fall and are quincunx...just shoot me now. This is the only aspect to Saturn in my chart....

However, my NN is in Aries and suggests that i need to not get stuck in the WE stuff. Be more assertive and make my own decsions... for self...

Is this not a contradiction... ?????

Saturn retrograde: in past lives you were very mean, cold, heartless, and stingy, thinking only of your status, wealth, and power or control over others(especially if Saturn is badly placed or aspected). In this life you have no ambition or power, or find it very difficult to maintain, and may now be at the mercy of others.

Uranus retrograde: in past lives you were a rebel, revolutionary, or scientist who caused a lot of mayhem(especially if Uranus is badly placed or aspected). In this lifetime, you may be tempted to repeat your rabble rousing but it will backfire and make you the victim instead. Whatever you do, you must be totally honest and humane, otherwise you will invite trouble.

Neptune retrograde: in past lives you were very deceptive and immoral attracting scandal and persecution(especially if Neptune is badly placed or aspected). You lied and cheated and refused to face reality, and may have even committed suicide, and in this lifetime it is very easy for you to fall into the same traps unless you exercise discipline and faith.

Pluto retrograde: in past lives you resorted to criminal acts and lascivious behaviour(especially if Pluto is badly placed or aspected), and in this life you may be subject to same.

I have these

Sun-Gemini
Moon-Scorpio
ASC-Libra

Hmm...I only have Mercury and Chiron in retro. But it seems nearly all of my closest friends are retro Mercs. What are the chances of having a child with retro Merc, usually? This suddenly feels like genetics, lol.

BuD and Brooding. I do think that retro's have a karmic link but, this writing/interps is very old school. This goes back hundreds of years. The spirituality focused- modern writing has evolved into a more philosophical approach. I tend to look at my 5 retro planets as an opportunity.

Wow, this is interesting... I've got Jupiter and venus retrograde... As to working with the stuff linked to jupiter, I think it's looking good, but venus... Haha, I guess I'm a little too selfish...

BuD...I'm the same as you....only I've got Jupiter thrown in as well.We must have been cell mates!! And I think my soul has chosen to clear all my Karmic debt in this lifetime, because every last one of my personal planets(other than my Lovely/Crazy Scorpio Moon...) is in house 12!!So basically...all my planets are either Rx or 12th housers.HELP!!!!!!

I agree w/ the Neptune Rx/suicide connection.I also have suffered throuugh depression as a teen and contemplated ending it.Now,however I know better. If I were to choose "the easy way out",I would just have to go through it again.I try to stay positive.

okay , juputer , uranus, neptune and pluto are retrograde.

well yes the rebel does raise hell now and then, and i do say stuff that's fiery and provokative. i used to write in college newspapers , but it was exclusively social activist stuff.however i have gotten over my need to shock

the lessons of Neptune retrograde are hard, it opposes my sun n moon in my natal. gives a piscean feel, but i have learnt to be honest

pluto ret , i dunno, i like to think i didn't kill someone, though it can be possible. i have 2 excellent books by Manikchand Jain who was a vedic astrologer and he stresses that Retrograde planets are extremely karmic.
well 4 , not so bad

What if you have no planets in retrograde? Is that really bad, or does that just mean I haven't lived very many lives lol!

------------------
Sun in Libra
Moon in Cancer
Jupiter in Cancer
Venus in Virgo
Mars in Cancer
Ascendant in Cancer

I "FEEL" therefor I am

Peri,
I am not co-signing with what http://www.librarising.com/FWA/retrogrades.html said - it's much too dreary and defeatist to accept.

BTW - I have 4 planets that are retrograde (not including chiron in taurus which is also retrograde in the 9th house) - they are mercury in capricorn (5th house), mars in leo (12th house), jupiter in cancer (11th house) and saturn in virgo (1st house).

HOWEVER, libraschoice7 - I absolutely LOVED reading http://www.librarising.com/FWA/retrogrades.html

i too, like Zane B Stein will have to agree with Kevin from www.therealastrology.com in saying:
"I feel that planets in direct motion are concerned with issues of growth, while planets in retrograde motion are concerned with issues of evolution. What’s the difference between the two? Well, growth cycles can be accomplished within the span of an individual lifetime. Evolution cycles, on the other hand, take many lifetimes to complete.
"When I look at a natal retrograde planet (and here, I focus mainly on Mercury, Venus and Mars, since the other planets are retrograde so much of the time), I generally take it to mean that the individual is working with that planet on a different level than most of us; they are trying to learn evolutionary lessons, and these don’t always sit well with the daily cycles of growth. Since evolutionary energy is about breaking out of the current growth cycle, it can be difficult to integrate at times. Individuals with natal retrograde planets have a different, and very personal experience of that planet, and it’s not always easy for them to communicate this."

i really like that way of thought.

thanks Peri and libraschoice7 for the insightful links.
