so you think we`ve met each other in a past life? Well, that would explain why he seems so familiar.
What makes you think it was a master-apprentice-relationship? Because of the involvement of Mercury, Isis and Osiris? Or because Saturn, Neptune and Pluto are connected to Karma? Well, Neptune and Pluto could have something to do with occult things, it would fit.
But can you say who would have been the master, and who the apprentice?

Also, I checked the aspects, you mentioned, but didn`t found that much (only using conjunction, sextile, square, trine, opposition):

There are only:

His aspects to you are 10 times more powerful because his Isis/Osiris/Karma trine your Sun. Had there been a similar action from your asteroids to his Moon or SUn or Asc, then this would have been a very powerful and interesting relationship.
NOt to say that it wont be even now but there will have to be more work from his side. Your Valentine trine his Mars and Union conjunct his Asc will play a big role.

Focus on your true soul mate dear. This relationship you posted is just a subtle one. See, there are no strong Asc, Moon and Sun ties. Quintiles and Quincunx dont hold a candle to a trine, square, opp or conjunction. Sun conjunct Spirit simply means your core personality identifies with
his notion of spirituality.

Juno opposite KARMA and KARMA conj his SUN, NORTH NODE are good placements if and only if the initial conditions were met.

-Venus parallel Valentine double-whammy: legit or not?
-Isis conjunct Osiris in the Davison chart - I know you said you have this with your wife in the composite; would you think it has a similar effect in the Davison, too? It's a very tight conjunction (0* 06'), and they also conjunct Anubis...

The Sun-Moon-ASC-connections I found are those:
His Sun conjuncts my Antivertex and Sun-Moon-midpoint
My NN conjuncts his Sun-Moon-Midpoint
His Moon / NN is widely sextile my Sun (3-4°)
My Moon is conjunct his ASC (as is Psyche; actually the midpoint of my Moon-Psyche falls onto his ASC).

Also:
His Sun is exactly solstice conjunct and parallel my ASC
Our Moons are closely parallel each other (and contraparallel each other`s Pluto)

EDIT: His Sun is also parallel my NN,
and my Moon is parallel his NN. don`t know if that`s important.

So, it's not the tight 1-2 deg. orb you've been talking about...

Is there any importance in this trine, or should I just forget about it? It's the only aspect that Karma makes to my personal planets, and it's therefore tempting to see some meaning there...

(Transiting Neptune is now 22 deg Aquarius i. e. conjunct my Karma).
