I think this is to do with my Scorpio moon, but sometimes I'm not sure where to draw the line between my intuition (which is real for sure) and paranoia. Sometimes the two things merge and that can be useful in finding out some truths, but other times when I confuse the two it can be a more destructive force than anything else. Anyone else experience this? If so, what do you think influences this astrologically for you?

GL75, my Mercury is in Scorpio (12th house, no less), and I know exactly what you mean about paranoia and intuition and where do the two merge...I have to reign it in so to speak, but my fears can really cut loose if I let it and think too much about something. It's easy for me to obsess on a subject...I am also good at finding truths and just 'knowing' what's up with someone, they don't have to say anything at all. I know immediately if a person is someone I really should avoid...Yes, I can definitely relate

Oh yes, I should've mentioned Scorpio is in my 12th house too... seems like it's a real doozy for intuition and paranoia. I really have terrible trouble with it sometimes! Do you have any ways of discerning the two at all? I guess if I'm wondering if it's just paranoia, then maybe it really is... but then again maybe I get paranoid of my intuition... IP: Logged |

God I know this one.It comes down to a choice of either taking the risk of being scared of everything, or chancing being right about certain things and ignoring them, only for them to come back and bite you on the bum. It's the ultimate catch 22 and a real terror on one's peace-of-mind. Swerve IP: Logged |

Hey watery mates!I don't have scorpio moon (though I do have sun, venus and jupiter there) but I have cancer moon in the 12th house so I totally get the intuition thing. I don't know if it's because mine is cancer rather than scorpio but I don't suffer the paranoia. In life I ALWAYS go with my instinct. It's never let me down. Ever. I am a number 16 birthdate though which numerologically means that my instinct could even save me from danger. So I always listen to it. Sometimes if I don't know which path to take in life, I try and relax, and go with my 'feeling.' I sometimes think that it's a curse to have an abundance of water in a chart, it makes us feel too much, imagine too much, sometimes fear too much....but it's a blessing too! I love to feel, it means I'm alive! Listen to your instinct, not your heart, not your head, but your gut feeling - and therein lies the truth. ------------------ SCORPIO SUN 5TH HOUSE ASCENDANT CANCER CANCER MOON 12TH HOUSE IP: Logged |

Gemini, I have a scorpio moon AND venus. I am not posessive as those placements would usually show, but I am VERY VERY paranoid. I've been trying to deal with it my whole life... sometimes if a situation comes up where I become very paranoid, I have to try and tell myself to not be so suspicious. My moon isn't in the 12th though, I thought it was, but when I did my chart on astro, it said it was in the 11th house.IP: Logged |

Actually so much so that when dealing with certain types of individuals I can immediately pick up their vibes and predict certain behaviors which 90 percent of the time I'm dead on with. Problem with it is when I sense negative energies they tend to overwhelm me and if the energy is strong enough then I carry it around with me causing severe paranoia.... IP: Logged |

It must be so much easier intuition-wise to be Cancerian... I listen to my gut a lot and I always prided myself on that, but the Scorpio paranoia has been getting in the way more and more. Especially when it seems to be an 'instinctual' paranoia rather than the type where you sit around 'thinking' about it too much... anyone else get this?IP: Logged |

Oh and I'm the same, la loba... my feeling about people is always right! That's when my paranoia comes in useful, because I'll think about what their motivations and in which ways they will probably bring their motivations to fruition - again, I'm usually right and this is where the intuition and paranoia merge together in a way that is helpful...IP: Logged |

I think sometimes the feeling of paranoia comes from not understanding where the intuition is coming from .so we try to find our own definition and let our mind take over our gut

Another scorpio moon native here....A good point is made here, the scorpio moon perceives a lot, but also fears a lot. This is a moon sign of survival and strength. Only with meditative practice (this can take many forms) can the moon be harnessed appropriately. The moon is fall here in scorpio, one of the most difficult positions. The native wants to feel intensely but at the same time cuts off his or her emotions. This moon sign must learn to feel fully, and always, being very aware of moving into emotionally detached states. These states of detachment, while seeming comfortable, are destructive in the long run. The dam will break, and the banks will flood.. Only through intense spiritual practice can this moon sign be harnessed. Some may try through sex, alcohol, drugs, but only spiritual connection can master this moon sign. This can be accomplished through meditation, yoga, music, prayer, singing, athleticism...many other methods. This moon sign demands intensity, and demands self mastery, otherwise the native is adrift on a tide of intense impulses. Watchout that the sexuality isn't sublimated into strange areas, into eating, drugs, or other twisted (no offense intended here) desires. With mastery, the intense libido of this moon sign can be channeled into a creative area. This moon sign can move mountains, and make great charity workers, psychologists, scientists, doctors. Once mastered the amount of work/focus they have is incredible. This moon sign is incredibly psychic, but as I said early, oh so afraid. They fear death intensely, and it preys on their minds almost daily. They hold on extremely tightly, then they let go and release. To curb the paranoia, the mind must be quieted through afformentioned spiritual practices. This native must alwasy remind him/herself that everything is OK. Periods of intense fear will no doubt plague the scorpio moon person, but they will usually overcome it. Once they realize their greatest enemy is their own mind, and their greatest friend is their higher self, they begin the road to self mastery. This moon sign never has to worry about "shutting off" their paranoia, this moon sign is almost always aware of being in danger. It's survival mechanism is blown way out of proportion. This is such an incredible skill though, this intuitive compass helps the native navigate the social world with much grace. Hope that helps IP: Logged |

Thanks, BlueRoamer... so many insightful things said in your post! Very, VERY accurate. I personally feel as though I'm on a pathway to 'getting there' with all this... but I have been lazy about meditation or other spiritual practices, letting too much other immediate day to day stuff 'get in the way' of time for myself for meditation and yoga. I haven't done much of either of these at all, but want to learn more - tonight though I was "too busy" to go to the yoga class which is only 10 minutes' walk from my house. Paranoia can be such a destructive force, and I would really like to 'let go' of it - but as you can see, I'm paranoid that I may end up ignoring my intuition! I guess the first step for us Scorpio moons is to realise that our intuition is strong and it WILL serve us well... maybe even serve us better if we can release ourselves from the paranoia... ?IP: Logged |

GeminiLover, I know exactly what you mean about the intuition vs. paranoia thing. I have a Scorpio Ascendent and the exact same thing happens to me all the time. There always seems to be "certain people" that I feel strange around, and I didn't even know why until now. I won't talk to them or even look them in the eye sometimes. For a while I thought I was just shy....but now I'm wondering if I'm simply just seeing through them instead. I feel like I'm seeing through a little too much sometimes though......but I guess that could be because I also have Scorpio in the 12th house.wow..I thought I was the only one who did this..haha guess not. ------------------ sun/mercury in taurus, moon in leo, scorpio rising, venus/mars in pisces IP: Logged |

Scorpio/12th house here. Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get out!I always stick to my feelings especially the negatives ones coming off other people. It's just that I am vocal about these feelings now. Try it, it's healthier. Natasha IP: Logged |

BlueRoamer -Your personal description on having a Scorpio Moon is so elegant. Off the top of your head? The part you said about the Mooner's fearing death really surprised me, and someone else said they had the same feelings with a Scorp Asc. But it's making me wonder if Scorpio energy needs to be placed in "certain" ways in order to harness what they already Rule. I guess that's why it's notoriously making our dammn selves our own worst enemy. But, when I say Rule, I mean Death, right? So I'm wondering if there are Scorpish people who have never had that fear. If fear just comes with the territory, then there must be lots of interesting ways of channeling it. Remember, Scorpio is influenced by both Mars and Pluto. ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |

Hi astrojunkie.....are you a scorpio moon? Natasha that 12th house scorp moon is a very psychic position...do you remember your dreams? Do you ever have intense waking dreams/fantasies? Scorpio rules transformations, in essence a small death in the life cycle. Interestingly, in french, the phrase for ograsm is "little death," or "petit mort." So its easy to see why scorpio rules sex and death, and why these two are intimately related. Scorpio natives who are out of touch with this energy of transformation will often put themselves in life/death situations where they are forced to confront this energy. IP: Logged |

Blueroamer, my moon is in the 8th house, in Cancer, but my Neptune is in the 12 in Scorpio, also Neptune is partly in my 1st. My Pluto is much stronger than my Neptune influence; Pluto is well aspected.Danger? Yes, there are aggressive energies and I for one tap right into those sometimes. I love sports, and pushing myself physically. It's hard to believe we are equal and can be as strong as the next person. The goal as I see it, is to master tasks to teach to others. And I build things but I am better at tearing them down, reducing them and making them useful. Some could say that's aggressive energy. Natasha IP: Logged |
