Topic: Planets conj. Ascendant and Physical Appearance

I have been reading that any planets that are conjunct your Ascendant will affect your physical appearance. What isn't clear is what each planet represents as far as appearance goes...I have both Venus and Neptune conjunt mine. (The only other chart I could find with this is Bill Clinton..lol) My best friend has Venus and Uranus conjunct hers. Another friend has Jupiter. My mom also has Neptune. My brother has Pluto and Saturn. Does anyone have any idea what type of appearance each planet gives? I have googled this until my eyes crossed.......... IP: Logged |

I have Jupiter conj my asc in my 1st house and I always have had fat cheeks. I tend to stack weight on around my thighs and hips. Otherwise, I have chiron in my 1st house, but don't think that influences appearances as such. IP: Logged |

My friend with Jupiter conjunct Ascend.
has chubby cheeks, too.....which isn't so bad because you always look younger than you are -- it gives that innocent look.IP: Logged |

Because of our ethnicity we all have dark hair/skin/eyes in my family. I'll give her that she's hairier than the rest of us, but thats about it. She still has the Piscean look (she's a pisces sun BTW).IP: Logged |

I have asc conj venus and mercury in the 12th if you go by the norm or in the first with equal. I have a face that people are comfortable with I guess is the best way to describe it. I'm very approachable and likeable at a glance. I'm an average looking person but when someone gets to know me they find me to be attractive some have even said beautiful-men and women alike. The latter part has more to do with personality and the way I carry myself than anything physical though. ------------------

The only planet that is near my ascendent is Neptune but even that is about 12 degrees away. My ascendent is in Capricorn. Me and my sister look very much alike though.We both have very big eyes but while hers are doll eyes, mine are cat-like (I've been told I look Cleopatra-like....whatever that means  ). We both have Venus in the 5th, thats the only similarity I can find. Her face is heart shaped while mine is more oval, her lips are fuller than mine,tomato tom-ato,etc. The only major aspect I have to my ascendent is sun opposition ascendant from cancer to capricorn. The pluto-asc aspect in Scorpio is the only major aspect that she has as well. A IP: Logged |

Mars is in conjunction to my Ascendant (both in Capricorn) in the 12th house. My skin is reddish... my hair is jet black. IP: Logged |

Thats funny you mention ascendant and appearance, because my hair turns really red in the sun! I have Mars conjunction ascendant which contributes to that, and also Moon conjunction ascendant(gives me emotional looking eyes). Other planets to the ascendant but not in conjunction, Venus sextile ascendant, Pluto square ascendant(I don't know what physical aspects they would contribute to). IP: Logged |

Sun conjunct Ascendant - really thick, shiny hair, "cat-like" eyes (long curly eyelashes, large rounded eyes), strong body (i've heard this placement can influence that physical trait)Pluto conjunct Ascendant - I'm dark by ethnicity (african-american), however, Pluto makes me look more "dusky" and "Swarthy" I guess you can say. really dark hair, really dark eyes, "husky" frame... I'm built really "strong". Muscular and "sturdy" looking (contradicts my Libra Ascendant, haha)..everyone thinks I'm like 2-3 inches taller than I really am
Venus in the 1st house- definitely have the dimples... and the "symmetrical" face. Even though I'm built like "sturdy" I've got nice curves I suppose

What about other aspects? I have Venus in my 1st House but it isn't conjunction my ascendant, does it still affect my appearance? And I have Neptune sextile my Ascendant in Pisces and Pluto trine my Ascendant. How should that work ?~Rebekka IP: Logged |

Interesting that people are mentioning aspects to Asc. I have Nep trine Asc and Moon/Pluto opp asc. I think the pluto opp asc must give me the dark eyes and hair (even though my hair has a reddish tinge - aries asc) and nep trine must give me sleepy eyes, but then I hear that sleepy eyes is an Aqu thing (I have Aqu sun).IP: Logged |

I have Uranus conjunct the AC, both at 12 Libra. While I do have typical Libra AC qualities (symmetrical features, dimples, nice skin, generous mouth, curvy shape), Uranus on my ascendant has added height to my frame -- I'm 5'8" and I come from a family of short people. Uranus has also thinned me out a little -- I have delicate looking hands, small wrists, ankles, a small waist. I can really see the differences that a planet makes when conjunct one's ascendant by comparing myself to my sister. Since she was born at the same time of year and practically the same time of day, we have the same ascendant. Only, as she was born 6 years apart from me she has Pluto conjunct her Libra ascendant instead of Uranus -- Uranus had already moved on to Scorpio by the time she was born. We have very similar looks since we have the same parents and the same ascendant -- but Pluto conjunct her ascendant has thickened her up a bit, she does not have the small waist and wide hips that I do. She's sort of more athletic, stocky looking. And she's kind of dark, while I am fair. Uranus on the ascendant also contributes to all my nervous energy -- I'm twitchy and can't sit still. My sister is more solid than I am, she can concentrate like the dickens when she wants to (Pluto's power, I'm sure). And her Pluto/AC is much more focused on manipulation and power games. My Uranus/AC is a bit more independent, free-wheeling, laid back. I don't like to be pegged down.

That's an interesting thing to think about, Chrissy. My family has a history of being short too, but my sister has Aquarius Ascendant and she's already taller than I am [she's 5 years younger too ....]. My brother is also quite tall, but I'm not sure what aspects he has to his Ascendant, I just know he has Aries Rising. He and my sister [who has Aries Sun] are so much alike it's not even funny. People always tell my sister she's a mini version of my brother. I'm the oddball of the three, Pisces Rising has made me short, I guess Neptune and Venus have made me delicate and symmetrical. Pluto I guess gave me pretty eyes, dark hair and dark eyes. Oh, Neptune also made my hair curly [it has been hell ...].~Rebekka IP: Logged |

Oh, but you're lucky, Rebekka -- I would love to have curly hair! Mine's straight as board.Anyway, about your brother...was he born in the early to mid (I think) 70s? If so, he would have Uranus in Libra, which would oppose his Aries ascendant. Something to think about. That has info about outer planets conjunct the ascendant there. Does not go into affects on physical appearance, though.

Venus in 1st house conjunct asc within 1 degree I have dimples as well and am built like alanabelle86 said: "sturdy with nice curves". I get lots of compliments on my smile from men and women.

My brother was actually born in 1987 ... I need to get his birth information again to store in my astro.com account.
And while I love curly hair, mine is untameable. You couldn't imagine how hard I've tried and how many products I have used to try and make it look decent. Nothing works. So I get it chemically straightened, and it actually looks its best maybe 3 months afterward? When it gets its natural volume back and a little bit of wave to add interest. It's actually quite nice if I say so myself. The problem is when the regrowth comes in, heheh. I have like a kink in my hair where it is lol.~Rebekka IP: Logged |
