Since we were talking about sex symbols having planets at 5 degrees of a sign, I thought Michael Hutchence from INXS would be interesting to discuss...

I was watching INXS videos on TV last night and my boyfriend disagreed that Michael Hutchence is sexy... "Look at his features, he's not that sexy"... on close inspection, I realise that yeah, he's not typically handsome. But what he does have, is an intense sex appeal!!! So it occured to me in that moment and I said to Mr Gemini, "I think... he's got an important planet at 5 degrees". I was 95% confident when I said it. So I looked on the internet and found a chart... sure enough, Pluto at 5 degrees (Virgo) in the 8th house. To me, now THAT is the source of his intense sexuality. Add to that, his Mars at 5 degrees (Capricorn, 12th house) and we have a heck of a lot of sex appeal!

This might be morbid, but I can't help thinking that his 8th house Pluto could have something to do with his death? Any thoughts?

Cool. I have Mars 5 Degrees Aries. Can the same be the said about me? Lol. I don't consider myself too sexy.

Funny how some people can exude tremendous sex appeal even though they are not tremendously good looking. Some people have it and some people don't.

My feeling is that a death of that manner would be to do with Pluto in the 8th house - sex and death all rolled into one. What would we look for in his chart to find out if this is definitely the case? ie what could indicate that his death was accidental (as opposed to suicide)?

Didn't they have a post awhile ago on this(5 degree erotic thing). They were talking about Marilyn Monroe and I think Jane Mansfield had the magic "5" degree going on big time. I think alot of people have that at least once in their chart. Luck people that do have a whole bunch though, just radiating sexuality. It's funny cause I only have the 5 degree with my Jupiter in Cancer in 12th house. I was always wondering why when I would do charity work or do drives guys would constantly hit on me during that time only.

That's so interesting, libraschoice! My 5 degree planet is my sun (Taurus), in the fifth house... I find it somewhat hilarious that with the fifth house (and sun) being ruled by Leo, my hair really is my crowning glory, and is the thing that men seem to like about me - the downside is that if it's a bad hair day, no man will even notice me!

Michael was a Scorpio moon like myself... woohoo! Combine that with his eighth house Pluto, he sure had a strong Scorpio influence... my Mr Gemini commented that Michael's death was "Scorpio gone wrong".

btw if you are looking at sabian symbols you would look at the 6th degree

sabian symbols go

0-1
1-2
2-3

and so on

btw...I have Sun in 5'20 Scorpio. I don't consider myself a very sexy person. But then again, I have always felt like an ugly duckling..heh. my Saturn is in 5'08 Gemini,and so quincunx my Sun with 12 minutes of arc.....that would be my insecurity.

If i am correct, Uranus and Pluto traveled closely through Virgo. It would make more sense if he also had Uranus in the 8th as well.

I have Pluto 8th house conjunct Uranus in Virgo sextile Mars in Scorpio.
also Venus (Virgo) Quintile Mars (Scorpio)
Sexy? I have been told.

I never realised the fifth degree had this meaning. I have heard of the 2nd being the power degree though.

MH was my first crush. Ive always thought that he was incredibly sexy, one of the most sexiest guys that I could say that I have ever seen.
