my little brother is a cancer with his moon conj Uranus opp pluto, merc conj Saturn, he is crazy smart!! when he was three he was memorizing these huge puzzles and has always been super advanced intellectually. his powers of concentration is like tunnel vision!!

I think Einstein had his merc conj Saturn. plus being a pisces he was able to combine his natural abstract nature and concentrate it thru Saturn. it makes sense too that it took him a while to even talk and express himself with his merc conj Saturn.

tesla also had his merc conj Saturn!!! and his Uranus was in the first house and his pluto right on the asc! moon also conj mars which I think when mars is also conj moon/or merc it could help energize and speed up the mind/memory!

walt Disney has his moon in the first house, sun conj Uranus and his pluto/nept conj MH.

I realise it’s a while since BeholdAstarte posted this but I wanted to chime in and agree with the above observation. Moon is about memory because it also represents our habits, emotional inclinations, among other things. Aspects from the outers to Moon and Merc, couple with aspects to the nodes can certainly show intelligence.

As an aside, most astrological patterns can be seen in families. It stands to reason that our “g” or general factor of intelligence is within 10 to 15 points of our closest relatives (meaning biological parents or siblings); there is no way for one to be Einstein level smart and the other pedestrian, unless the other was born with a confirmed neurological disorder.

A person may seem more or less smart because of what they have chosen to do with said smarts. The actual amounts don’t vary that much between first degree relatives.

On familial astrological patterns, my mother has Uranus in Gemini (I suspect is her chart ruler), my brother has Merc trine Uranus, as does my son. I have the square. I also have many other aspects to my Merc, more than all 3 other family members, and mine is at the highest point of my chart at that, but I won’t insist that I’m necessarily smarter than the other 3.

As for Moon, all 4 of us have Moons in aspect to Saturn. Mine is in a rolling conjunction. My brothers is conjunct Venus and square Saturn. My son’s is opposite Saturn. My mother has her trine Saturn.

You can see we all have a certain level of stubbornness and dogmatic behaviour; this enables us to focus on things we are emotionally invested in, which of intellectual, may be seen as adding to intelligence.
