Q now is why is he just so familiar to me?

SLB is another story. Still plodding away. I thought maybe Leo ac because of the hair and that would also put his moon in tau in 10th. But then I thought Libra AC. He is very visible for a Scorpio. But in true Sco style he is known to be very hard to get to know despite his high and sociable presence. He is also the diplomat of the band and known to smooth out fights between members as well as being vain (Libra AC, libran venus 1st). Also sun would be in 1st, hence his leo mane when grown out and known to be a bit podgy and a big kid/adventurer - jup in 1st. Not happy with Aries moon, in wrong house, wrong sign. He's not known to be angry or direct with emotions and he says he is very similar to John which would be the case if his moon fell in tau. Leo ac again?

Anyhoo, I have to disagree with you on John Taylor's ascendant. I'd bet 80% on Aries, 20% on Capricorn. The Leo rising chart just doesn't fit him, imo. An Aries rising chart, though, has a LOT of aspects that seem congruous (especially the Capricorn midheaven, Mars in 1st, Neptune in 7th, Scorpio falling in the 7th, etc. etc. etc.). His wife's bday is 01 November 1953, btw, so she's early-Scorpio.

Simon I have always thought of as Leo rising. He is unquestionably the most charismatic member of the band in person when he is "on." He's very in-line with the Leo plus Scorpio persona.

And what about Nick Rhodes?! That guy is Virgo rising.

I'm also thinking Aries rising for JT. Just cos the face shape reminds me so much of my bf's face shape. The Aries rising jawline is just unmistakeable to me. Would this put his Mars in the first house? Either way with an Aries rising he is bound to have a quick temper. Oh hey, if he's a Gemini with Aries rising no wonder he has a similar 'look' to my bf in some ways...

Well actually I have to disagree with you. I'll tell you why:
*I'm aries ac (girl of course) and he does not have the same chin as me and other aries rising - ie a pointy chin. It juts out but its too square. This squareness is caused by the catty leo plus ura (angularity) on asc.
* His hair colouring is too dark. I'm dark too but in the sun, my hair blazes red.
* His brows aren't arched or kinked in any way
* He's got that sharp crease in the top lids of his eyes that seem to be common amongst leos.
* His face is more round than the standard long face of gem. Aries AC can prone to a bit of length in the face.

With a Leo AC:
* He looks regal and like a cat - which he does, his nose is also thick at the top like a cats
* Has big hair - which he does, and very flashy at that - aries does not have flashy hair
* Has big feet and smile - known for leo
* Has a need to be loved and get attention - this he has
* His sun/venus fall in the 11th house (popularity/community) and his moon falls in tau in 10th - 10th house tau moons are a dead giveaway for famous musicians and singers. He was also a mama's boy and loved his mum. The focus of his chart is in the SE quadrant which is very common for famous people
* Ura would fall on asc - I have noticed this with some famous "freaks" - eg George Best and Kurt Cobain. These people also have crisp appearances like him. He is apparently very friendly. Highly unpredictable and abrupt with what he says, esp humour (same like me in this instance - aqu sun/merc squ ura). Again communal and public property. Probably adds a lot to his height too.
* Neptune in his 4th would indicate a religious family background (yes his mum) and confusion about himself
* Libra IC rules his venus that is conj his sun. He was very confused about his father as his father was POW during WWII and this fuses with his sun (father).
* Mars would fall on the 10th giving him an acelerated career and Aries MC too would give him the sheer demand for everything in his career. His ambition and desire for flesh etc was very public - hence MC. I have cap on my MC and a friend of mine has aries. She got where she wanted faster than me. Cap MC is slow, hard, patient development of career with a lot stumbles. Success takes a long time.
* Jupiter in the 5th points to abundance in creativity because it is ruled by leo and has jupiter there.

As for the exact time, there's a great spread for leo AC. He could have an earlier IC-MC axis of maybe even 20deg, this would place saturn in 6th, pluto in 2nd. Pluto in 2nd is possible given his life.

Which would fit in with theory that her sun/venus would fall in his 7th, her mars in his 5th. But it could be just as plausible with leo AC where he venus would be conj IC, and sun in his 4th, mars in 2nd - making money. They also have his sun/venus squ her mars. Plus his relationship with Gela isn't as famous as with Renee or Amanda (both tau suns which would fall in his 10th).

Still we both agree on a fire rising both of us. And in the end, if he is aries AC, it would not surprise me as that is what I felt originally. At least mars would be in aries with aries AC and I definitely agree with his mars being in aries. Thats why he makes me combust....

Oddly he seems to resemble the double aries the most; has some resemble to gem-leo but less so to gem-aries (?!). Some examples:

How strange! Maybe the mars in his 1st must intensify this. Problem is that if he is a mid-degree Aries AC, then the moon would be in the first and that doesn't appeal to me. Suggestions please?

I still think the Leo AC chart would suit his career a lot more than an aries rising chart.

Simon Le Bon has Leo rising.

John Taylor has virgo at a guess... l have met him a few times back in the 80's and 90's as he was married to a good friend of mine and he is VERY virgoan and sane... oh and way better looking than his pics
