She began to cry when she said that she was surrounded by Scorpios....daughters, sister, ex hubbie etc. Then she said "we (Leos) only want to be noticed, but you Scorpios have to win and YOU KNOW IT ALL"..... She then said she would come to me for some healing!!! Any comments or observations..... thanks IP: Logged

She'll probably keep attracting this type of person (Scorp or not) until she learns what 'it' is. Perhaps she secretly wants to win and know it all too, or perhaps she just has to work on competitivness?! Gemini Nymph unregistered	posted January 04, 2007 07:56 PM I agree with William. Scorpion arrogance and intellectual presumption is bad news for anyone around them. Arrogance and intellectual presumption are ALWAYS bad news for those on the recieving end, but not like it is when Scorpios are in control. I think sue's friend has mistaken Leo's occasional humility for a lack of knowledge, which is not the same thing at all. Liekwise she's obviously been bewitched by Scorpio's charm. One way Scorpios charm people is to give the illusion that they're smart, educated, knowlegable, masterful. Knowledge is power, as Francis Bacon said, and for power-hungry Scorps, that adage is not lost. Scorpios rarely express humilty, or at least express it sincerely or without some other under-the-table agenda. Humilty is often confused for weakness in a Scorp's psyche - a very Plutonian error. And since Scorp thrive on power, it's their natural inclination to avoid exposing any kind of "weakness." Likewise, Scorps find admitting their own lack of knowledge and intellectual shortcomings to be even more painful to their egos than any of their fixed sign cousins. It isn't always about being the smartest person around (although it can be on the side) - with a Scoprio, it's reality he or she is at war with. Scorps dread being ordinary, mediorce, average. They feel an intense desire to stand out and be seen as special and magical in the social theatre. Again, special = power. So their illusions - especially the ones that the Scorpio can convince others of - help fight off reality's sting that perhaps they're not as special as they'd like to think, as much as serve them often self-serving agendas. Sorry if this seems harsh, but as many here know I'm a very cut-the-crap kind of person. I'm OK with Scorps bewitching people and people being bewitched by them, as long as I'm not expected to buy into that too and believe their illusions are some kind of truth. I know some very intellect Socrps myself; however, my closest friend, a Socrp moon and a exceptionally intelligent woman, has even admitted herself that she often has a plaguing fear that someday someone will walk up to her and call her buff. She knows quite acutely that her aura of being smart has as much to do with the illusion of being smart as is does with her actual wits. IP: Logged

miss_muffet unregistered	posted January 04, 2007 08:15 PM My experience with Scorpios are quite different. The ones I know of do not go out of their way to try and make people think they are smart. The do not go out of their way to make it seem like they know it all. It just comes out that perhaps they know a lot more than they seem. You just never know with a Scorpio. If they want to know something, a Scorpio has the stamina of a Taurus and a passion that is solely theirs, to actually learn everything about a topic. So, noone ever really knows what they do or do not know. It was the complete opposite with the Leos I know... The Leos I know would always say how much they are so good at something and would always get shot by a Scorpio. It is actually quite funny to watch. If you do not want to get a Scorpio to call your bluff, do not show off. Which is what Leos love to do best. We the lesser mortals just stand aside and watch. It's like a soap opera. Scorpio with their stunning ability to feel hot air without substance... and leos who love to show off... quite a scene. MM IP: Logged

celticfyre unregistered	posted January 04, 2007 09:43 PM My most recent experience with the Leo former female friend hits the nail on the head with your title Sue "Leo's think they know it all and Scorpios do know it all" fits to a "t". I am a straight shooter and don't play games or give illusions --what you see is what you get. I don;t seek attention but I do get noticed but I do nothing to encourage it and I am a Scorp. The Leo craves and needs attention even to the point of spreading rumors,lies about others, myself and my Crab to the point of contradicting herself as a so called friend. True friends don't act in this manner and her self esteem is so bad to the point she has to create a fantasy world soap opera that she has to star in --in order to make herself elevated despite who she hurts in the process. She is the perfect example of someone wronging a Scorpio and a Cancer and having to live with the consequences. Leopricorn unregistered	posted January 04, 2007 10:41 PM I have two sisters who are Scorpios. One of them fits the description so well - however she does have a exceptionable amount of Leo influence. She's very much ambition driven and very intelligent. And although she is considerate - she is to some extent cruel, lol. She once told me she enjoyed getting people in trouble and that she was over it, but I'm still sure it's in the back of her mind somewhere. She's also the kind of person who could easily spot a person's flaws, and if ticked off enough subtly, yet connivingly point it out. It's funny because I have a Cancer cousin who has a heavy Leo influence. When she wants attention, she tends to lie about herself and my sisters are quick to question. IP: Logged
Dark Sider unregistered	posted January 04, 2007 10:42 PM im a scorp/virgo moon guy, and i have a friend that is a leo/scorp rising. Alot of what you guys are talking about rings true with me. Weve known each other for about 5-6 years, We worked at the same company. Hes the only leo that i know/speak to, I generally like his company but he can put on a show to make himself look better than he really is. This really rubs me the wrong way and i do let him know it. He may not say so but i think the way things work is actually to the Leo's benefit, I essentually bring him back down to earth where he belongs. He bounce's ideas/feelings/pent up frustrations on me alot and asks me for my advice, I try to help as best i can or as much as my patience will allow.. which isnt alot. short fuse. IP: Logged

Things always have many sides to them and reasons behind them, you can observe some and make up your mind based on your obsevations, but a part of an issue always remains hidden. Scorpios are good at reading the human mind/psyche, but even they can be wrong, and it's dangerous if they think they can't be mistaken - which is one of the most common 'sins' of Scorpios. Scorpios hate admitting that they might have been wrong, or exaggerated their reaction to something, or for gods' sake: give in a bit. I'm not that familiar with Leos, but they're usually just being playful with their attention-seeking, I haven't met too many of those who would seriously try to convince people they're all that. But I can imagine the clashes with Scorpios can be pretty hard, especially if they're the type to portray themselves in a very unrealistic light. Squares are never easy, and with fixed signs it might be even worse because they all tend to be stubborn. IP: Logged

sue g unregistered	posted January 05, 2007 05:14 AM No not cleverer But the Leo ones I have met are less confident for some reason? Maybe they place too much store on "shining" and being noticed.... Whereas Scorpio is, at times happy to withdraw behind the "veil" I think what the Leo lady was trying to convey was that Scorpio often has a "knowing" and therefore doesnt always have to try too hard?
