--If he's unpredictable yet romantic. Wild and uninhibited, yet caring and protective. Smart and logical, yet intuitive and a dreamer like me. Not clingy, yet jealous at times. Accepting of all sides of a situation yet able to make his own decisions and form his own opinions. Willingness to stand up for what he believes in, no matter what the consequences. Treating me like a queen And listening to me when I open my mouth, and humor....he's gotta be funny or forget it

--The fact that he's so good to me. And to cheat is unfair to him and me, and in the end I'd get caught cuz the laws of the universe work against things like that anyway. So prob some combination of those ideas. And that I love him..

What makes you fall MADLY in love with a man?
Basically any guy who could keep me laughing. Beyond that, he needs to be his own person and motivated, so I could easy respect him. He needs to be positive and broad-minded, and able to let other people be themselves, so I could be comfortable around him. He needs to engage me intellectually first, so I don't get bored with him, and understand I'm not impressed with romance in general, so I don't get annoyed with him. Lastly, he has be unquestionably sincere and show me respect from day one, so I don't feel I have to question his motives.

Bigotry of any kind - racism, religion bashing, sexism, etc. An elitist, conservative or conventional attitude. "Going along to get along." Pettiness, dishonesty and insincerity. Lack of personal growth, a "stagnant" personality. Self-pity. Emotional dependency. Emotional or psychological "toxicity."

What are 5 things you wish a man could understand about you?
1 - That I'm very intelligent, tough-minded, and fiercely individualistic, and I need to be treated as such (i.e., give me respect and my space)
2 - That I believe in sincerity and equality in my every interaction with others, and when I treat people as I want to be treated, I expect the same in return
3 - That it's very difficult for me to form genuine emotional bonds with people, and I need a lot of time, patience and space for that to happen
4 - That I need room to grow, learn and change as a person, and I *will* discard of anything (or anyone) that prevents me from doing that
5 - That every relationship with me is based on respect, first and foremost. Love, sex, warm fuzzies, him and her towels, etc, doesn't change that.

What would inspire you to stay commited to your partner?
Beyond love, I would need to respect him and look up to him and truly feel I had a life partner, by my side. Me and you against the world type of thing. Utopian mutual respect and understanding... mind you not saying that we wouldn't fight or have our disagreements... but respect and understanding and respecting our differences too and accepting them. This is something I didn't have in my marriage at all.

Open-mindedness, cleverness, tenderness, honesty, intellectual honesty, sexual prowess (just being honest... it's important to me!)... having it all "together"... respecting me, respecting my space and my needs and who I am and the way I am.

Patronizing, acting alternatly fatherly and childlike... you are not my daddy and I am most definitely not your mommy!!! Being respected and treated like an equal is oh soooo so so important to me. I know other women/people can be difficult and you have to tiptoe around them and their feelings, but I wish I could get men to understand that they can be totally straight with me, I will always take it like a trooper and absolutely appreciate their honesty. Some men just do not get that at all, no matter how long they've known me. HONESTY HONESTY HONESTY... BE OPEN AND HONEST. You can't lose by being honest with me. Talk to me. That's the key. Yes, you may hurt my feelings, but I will like/love/respect you so much more for being open and honest with me. I'm a big girl. I can take it! and trust me, I can take it a helluva lot better than being lied to and pulled around by the nose like an idiot. That's what you do if you REALLY want to rip my heart out and stomp it to a pulp. Honesty. Sheesh. I want to be your friend and respect you even if we aren't together. I can't do that with a weak, wishy washy phoney fake with less cajones and character than me!

Intelligence, all the way!! That, and a killer sense of humor! And then he has to be tall and confident and have depth....original and independent thinking

HUMOR, intelligence, strength of character, ideals, optimism, zest for life, he shud be supremely confident, should believe in God, be a very 'together' person. fun, spontaneity, perceptiveness and sensitivity wud carry their due weightage. and again so much depth that thr is always something more i can know about him, something more that i can learn from him. he shud challenge me intellectually, and love a good challenge himself. he should be emotional too, i am not looking for a purely cerebral type. and not just that, he should have emotional maturity. he shud be able to follow his heart, or wht he believes to be right, and stand up for his ideals. he should be constantly growing as an individual,and help me grow too. he shud have a lot of CLASS.

Actually, i DON'T expect him to understand me...but here's wht i wish he'd understand;

1. that i am a complex person, but its very easy to understand me if you keep your eyes and ears (and your MIND) open.

2. that he better not try to change me. and that, if he left me alone, i wud be doing it anyway. becoz i love to learn from others. and adopt new ideas and let go of my old ones if i feel the need for it.

3. that i am pretty emotional and vulnerable, and if he fails to respect my feelings, no matter how silly they may seem (and they shud NOT seem silly to him!!) then he is doomed.

Intelligence!! High IQ type, practical, geek who does not look geek with glasses or standard typical bookworm look but someone who is like Nikola Tesla, Newton, etc

Uniqueness!! Someone who looks different but pleasant, whose characteristics are unusual than others but still has positive and good manners, i.e. not like a drug user, punk, drunkard

Inventiveness!! Someone who could pour his brilliant ideas into practice with creativity as well

Independent!! Not too clingy...giving enough freedom and space in the relationship

Loyalty!! One that is committed, stubbornly loyal with his beloved
