i'm going to try and re-edit that Venus trak ..
make some of the softer parts slighty louder ..
and now that i've got two tube preamps to mess with ..
i'm going to try inserting them into the recording chain to see what happens ..
( had to get one sorted out for the resident keyboard synth )
theory is to add a few more audio harmonics ..
so when the mp3 conversion takes place it might end up sounding a bit 'warmer' ..as i don't actually know the preamps frequency response
in practical terms it will probably sound shyte 
not to mention .. potentialy noisy .. if it works .. i'll post the result ..  IP: Logged |

Nice to hear the Hammies again HD, haven't played them for awhile 
Slim is one of the BEST guitarists I've ever had the pleasure of listening to -- and the gritty/growly vocals..... yummm!!

hhhhmmmmm .. i know the one you mean methinks ..
yes i had a thought about posting it ..
but does it not belong in the joke thread ???
on the other hand i've never refered to or thought about any gf's in terms of inanimate objects ..
so can't exactly relate to the subject ..
although mention of fruit and veges in the same thread ..
had me thinking that LindaLand is somewhat like a fruit salad ..

.. er .. not quite .. well not so far .. not to my satisfaction ..
it's difficult with classical music .. given the dynamic range ..
and in anycase .. those pre-amps were not designed for hi-fi use ..
the violin timbre was more akin to fingernails on a blackboard :-))
will give it another try maybe .. or simply search for a better recording
heard quite a nice version on the radio .. i think it was just piano ..
well .. it was a solo instrument of some kind ..

recorded off the radio .. i missed the first part though ..
