Hi DD!!

Yes, new beginnings -- and I'm actually looking forward to it!! It's happening in my 8th house, how about you??

quote:
New Moons are the right time for bringing in the new. Full Moons are the right time for celebrating and reveling in successes.
Each month the New and Full Moons fall in opposing astrological signs, which rule different qualities and aspects of life. You can use these times to work on specific issues, hopes, desires and goals that correspond to the astrological energies of the Moon phase. Connecting with the monthly rhythms of our own internal biological and emotional/intuitive clocks can greatly increase our ability to fulfill dreams and goals.

Is there a difference between a Pisces moon and Pisces ascendant? I am a Aries Sun, Gemini Moon and Pisces Ascendant. My friends see me as flat out Aries but I do have a very reclusive side as well.

I've just finished reading all the posts in this thread. I'm not a Piscean Mooner myself, but nevertheless, I'm really touched by your stories. Especially those of Castlegirl's and of Planet_Soul's.

I've known quite a few lunar Pisces in my life. This time I'm only going to talk about one of two whom I like- one is a celebrity whom I don't personally know, the other was someone I used to know. What they have in common, apart from their Moon in Pisces, is that they're both Sun Leos. I find Leo Sun with Pisces Moon quite an interesting combination.

Abbbie Cornish, the Australian actor, is a Leo Sun with Pisces Moon herself. I really like her.

Another was my first French teacher, he was a lunar Piscean with Sun in Leo as well. He was a wonderful teacher, and used his dramatic talent and rich imagination very well to make our lessons alive and motivated us to learn the language! He was very funny, kind, sensitive, empathic and artistic...

I was really moved when I read Castlegirl's writing, reflecting her life experiences regarding her Pisces Moon. Again, I'm not a Piscean Mooner, but I assume that for lunar Pisceans, the effect of absorbing the energies, vibrations and other elements from other people is much, much stronger than for people with other Moon signs. You lose yourself into others. So, inevitably, you get pieces of the others and give/lose pieces of "yourself" to the others you're interacting with. The impact is just so very potent, at times it may gets rather unbearable...until you've finally learned how to handle the potency of your Pisces Moon.

And since the Moon is strongly associated with one's childhood, usually it would be the case that a lunar Pisces feels/looks more Pisces when in his or her childhood- even more so than solar Pisceans, I guess.

To the best of my limited knowledge, in a man's horoscope, Moon in Pisces ususally indicates that his relationship with his mother is of paramount importance in his life, and he usually regards the impact his mother has made upon his life as very vital as well. You might quite often come across with a male Pisces Mooner who says his mother is a very, very important person to him, perhaps even the most important person in his life.

Moon in Pisces can be summarized as either spiritual sublimation or heavily materialistic-minded. Of course, I'm not trying to make it sound black and white, as it never has been; it is never easy to live with a Pisces Moon.

The sign Pisces rules the unconscious, and Moon, apart from the commonly known themes of emotional expression, emotional needs etc, also has to do with the unconscious. Therefore Moon in Pisces brings the power of the unconscious to its supreme level. People of all astrological placements- all people, give and take pieces of themselves and pieces of others while interacting with other individuals and the outside world in general. However, this is much, much more potent when it comes to people with Pisces Moon. Whatever there is will be profoundly felt by the natives. Pisces Mooners' sensitivity is like some kind of high-voltage frequency. As though their surroundings and the people around them are "contagious"- everything is very, very contagious for lunar Pisceans: happiness, sadness, anger, love, hate, fear...everything. So keenly felt, and so keenly absorbed by lunar Pisceans. As if part of the others becomes part of the Pisces Mooners, and part of the Pisces Mooners becomes "the world" (or whatever you call it- the external stimuli etc). Intuition and feelings are so intense, and this psychic sponge quality are all so powerful, it sometimes gets frightening for the natives.

And whatever manifested through lunar Pisceans, it always has a strong connotation with the unconscious and the past. Pisces Moon is prone to being wounded, and over time, lunar Pisceans don't want to get hurt so constantly any more. Art is usually one of the forms of Pisces Mooners' sublimation. The childhood is always fundamental in the building of a lunar Piscean's character and tendencies, and again, the childhood is always vividly remembered.

D for Defiant, I totally agree with you. I feel all the energies of the people around me so much...That's why I choose to be with positive people all the time...Pisces moon is a really strong and challenging placement, but I learned to deal with it. When you know how to handle it, it's the best placement of moon I think, because I understand everyone so easily and I can easily sympathize and relate to people. After a while, it almost becomes like reading people's minds...I get people's deepest motives so quick, and it's very easy for me to "solve" people...However I don't make it obvious to the people, so that they keep acting naturally.

Jupiter and D--

I just have to say that I totally agree with what you are saying. Being so highly intuitive is weird and scary sometimes but its so good knowing you are not alone. Thanks for sharing this info.
