What is the degree of MERLIN and degree of Pluto ? Also what are the exact placements of Asteroid CAMELOT, ARTHUR, LANCELOT and EXCALIBUR, ATLANTIS and CHAOS ? Do they conjunct, square, trine or oppose MERLIN within a 2 degree orb?

Asteroids capture our imagination. Since Astro.com allows 10 entries at a time I urge everyone to write down all your numbers. lQ has turned us on to many. Atlantis is of particular importance. Plato wrote the only know accounts of Atlantis existance. The stone tablets were found in Sais (I think) Sais has no designation, but Plato does #5451 Also check out #318 Magdelena or Magdelene (spelling?)#18623 Pises I think it has Piscean energy, haven't reaserched it yet. And for those that have a Celtic vibe #16912 Rhiannon, and #2264 Sabrina - Edit Today I looked at Plato in my chart (the first time I had) My Atlantis is 16 Virgo 'retro'-> Transiting Plato is at 16 Virgo 'retro'

Hi Blue ~ Use just 1* (max 1.5*) orbs for asteroids. Merlin is probably my 1 favorite asteroid. I have him conjunct my ASC. I have done various research on Merlin because I grew up loving these stories! It was a nice surprise that this asteroid is conjunct my ASC. Random information: Merlin (or Myrddin/Merlinus/Merlin Ambrosius) was: wizard, sorcerer, prophet, advisor, tutor (he became King Arthur's advisor & tutor), and keeper of arcane secrets. He was part human - His mother was a princess that became a nun (Light) Then, from his father Hestor's side he was part Faery and part ultraterrestrial (also known as either an incubus or a demon) (Dark) I loved the TV movie called Merlin where Sam Neill was Merlin and Isabella Rossellini was Nimue. I recommend seeing it (they play it on Sci-fi from time to time). Also the old Disney cartoon The Sword in the Stone So cute! Ok that's probably enough rambling for the time being ------------------ `Who are you?' said the Caterpillar. This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, `I--I hardly know, sir, just at present-- at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.' ~Lewis Carroll

Hi all, Node has shown us the right way to apply asteroids. Find the grouping, then find out what we are thinking of the most and then relate the asteroids. Her asteroid PLATO and ATLANTIS synchronicity is yet another example of how asteroids work in our charts and subconscious through their name frequencies.Hexxie's example is more direct because of MERLIN's proximity to the Ascendant. On paper I may have researched asteroids a lot but it is still not enough. Thanks to studying Node's Camelot themed chart, I just discovered that I have LANCELOT in my first house of Aries weakly cojunct my Ascendant by 3 degrees and CAMELOT in one of the sacred Sabian degrees (21-22 Pisces.) These are the main aspects in my chart that explain my childhood fascination with knights, lance fights on horses and a craze for anglo saxon traditions of Robin Hood and King Arthur rather than Indian (my nationality) or Islamic (my genetic) traditions. I also wish to point out that the CAMELOT theme is incomplete without the two greatest Knights. Sir GALAHAD #2082 and Sir PARSIFAL (Percival) #2095. Galahad is the purest Knight, son of Lancelot. Percival and Bors are the other 2 knights on the quest of the grail but the grail quest succeeds because of Galahad. Percival has his own legend, the spear of destiny, which was captured in Wagners opera and which fascinated Hitler for the negative occult reasons. My own Asteroid GALAHAD is uselessly placed but he or she who has Galahad in the sacred Sabian Degrees is one who will succeed in their holy grail mission for the present lifeline. IP: Logged |

If you love those, try Mary Stewart's "Merlin Trilogy": "The Crystal Cave", "The Hollow Hills" and "The Last Enchantment" -- they TOTALLY capture the imagination -- *wonderful* writing I think you can get all three in one volume now.....Z IP: Logged |

Thanks Z! I have just ordered the trilogy (yes, it's in one book) off of ebay right now. Thanks so much for the tip!! On another note. I have most of those asteroids I listed above in my 12th house (my dreams...) And not only do I have Merlin conjunct my ASC but I have Tristan conjunct Merlin conjunct ASC. ------------------ `Who are you?' said the Caterpillar. Node I have every book she ever wrote -- I still read them occasionally Her writing is fabulous!! Except for the last two, she'd gottten older and it just didn't have the old enchantment..... She was sooooo well-read, and she challenged me..... like in "This Rough Magic" (I here abjure <---Shakespeare) where the bad guy's boat was named Aleister (Crowley) -- I had to go study the subjects she mentioned Z IP: Logged |
