Can you tell that from a chart what form it would take or can karma take many forms (good and bad) that nobody can guess until they happen.Iqhunk, i know your good at this stuff. Any ideas? Anyone else too? me: 22nd february 1978 4.10pm melbourne australia him: 5th march 1985 5.30am melbourne australia I'd like to think some lesson has been learned here, so far theres none I can think of. OzMeg, I think the lesson is right in front of you. Maybe I've gotten better at this since I always approach relationship endings this way...You have put up numerous posts about this guy over the last several months. One day you would tell us how great he was, and how happy you were, and in the next post you would say how shady he was acting and how frustrated you were with him. A couple of times you said you were done with him...then, next thing you know you are blissfully happy again. The lesson here is that this man was unstable. Unstable and unreliable. We know now that he was also an immature cheat, but when we learn to read between the lines, cheaters are generally "unreliable" and that is the cover. Your challenge now, is to learn these signs, so that next time you'll be ahead of the game. The next time a man messes with your head, or lets you down (unnecessarily & repeatedly) you will know to walk away immediately - before you get hurt. You will be stronger, and much less vulnerable. OZ, i so know what u mean, all our relationships, bad, good or terrible arise out of our evolutionary requirements. if u figure out ur evolutionary requirements n work on urself, u dont hav to keep gettin hurt, then it's ur turn for a happy ending. for that i m posting this good article on draconic charts that i posted for crankycap, but i doubt, she read it, " THE DRACONIC CHART Soul Mates and Blood Links by Pamela Rowe, LPMAFA, FMFAA
How many times as astrologers, have we counselled clients reliving similar disastrous relationships to those experienced in their formative years -- settling for familiarity, rather than initiating a reprogramming experience? Positive and negative astrological links shared with relatives are projected into adult relationships in a repetitious manner. This same theme of familiarity can apply to happy, productive relationships. Is fate after all, stronger than free will? When the likely astrological links between two people are not found in the natal, progressed or directed charts, we look further afield. The Draconic chart provides pivotal information regarding the soul's purpose. The Draconic chart in relation to parent and child and between siblings, has been a source of fascination to me for years. Members of the Australian Academy of Astrology & Cosmobiology Research Group have also researched the Draconic chart as a key topic. We have concluded that the Draconic chart can be categorised as karmic, spiritual and unconscious, with possible connections to reincarnation. It pinpoints those we draw close to us in our lifetimes, to resolve unconscious issues , which in turn connects to our state of physical and emotional health. It speaks less of free will than the basic natal chart. Through our Draconic chart we can discover how others are acutely, albeit subconsciously, aware of our soul's purpose and act accordingly -- opening life's doors and sometimes slamming them in our face. It traces where we came from (test it with parents and grandparent's charts) and where we are going (compare it with the charts of your children and soul mates). Links will be found by comparing Natal and Draconic charts, plus Draconic and Draconic. Draconic charts are also quite sensitve to transits, so compare the Draconic chart with transits of important events. The Draconic chart highlights the importance of the 0-degrees Aries point. The distance between the natal Northern Moon Nodes or Dragon's Head and 0-degrees Aries is the adjustment increment used to convert the natal chart to its Draconic counterpart. The natal North Moon Node (ascending node) becomes 0-degrees Aries of the Draconic chart, or 'draconic equinox' and other planets and points are adjusted accordingly. English astrologer Pamela Crane is well known for her work on Draconic astrology. Pamela uses the True Moon Nodes in preference to the Mean Moon Nodes in her calculations. The difference in the resultant Draconic charts is small, but enough for me to continue to research both. In some cases the Draconic Mean Moon Node chart produces tighter, more relevant aspects. The Draconic chart may have been overlooked because natal house placements and planetary aspects remain unaltered -- however, the zodiacal degrees can be strikingly different. The Northern Moon Nodes in the charts of relatives and soul mates is as potentially variable as its distance from 0-degrees Aries. When adjustments are made for the Draconic chart you may be surprised at the new zodiacal links which did not exist in the natal charts -- new clues as to life's learning curve through these important people. In the case of those born with the Northern Moon Nodes at 0-degrees Aries, the natal chart is also the Draconic chart -- suggesting a person directly in touch with their soul's purpose. I would be most interested in the spiritual journey of any reader who has the Northern Moon Nodes at 0-degrees Aries. Solar Fire and Winstar Plus software provide ready calculation of the Draconic chart. For those without this facility, the simplest and most accurate method is to convert all natal cusps and planets into their absolute zodiac positions (0-Aries=0°, 0 Taurus=30°, etc) and add the increment (distance between the natal true moon nodes and 0-degrees Aries) to each position. If answer over 360°, deduct 360 There are many more draconic links in this family tree. These few mainly involve the personal points of Natal and Draconic Ascendant, Midheaven, Sun and Moon. THE DRACONIC ASCENDANT The natal Ascendant describes how others perceive us in a physical sense, the silent message we project through our physical image. THE DRACONIC ASCENDANT is our intuitive identity, certain hereditary factors and the unique qualities we pass on through reproduction and spiritual teaching. For further information consider the decanate of the Draconic Ascendant (eg 28°26' Libra on the Draconic Ascendant is in its 3rd decan, incorporating a Gemini/Mercury influence to the Libran energies). THE DRACONIC MIDHEAVEN The natal Midheaven depicts our ego expression, career, worldy status, parent figures and mentors. The Draconic Midheaven speaks more of super-consciousness, the soul's divine quest, vocation as distinct from occupation. Astrologers already familiar with house meanings, aspects and primarily the interpretation of their own natal chart, will liken the experience of interpreting their Draconic chart to that of bumping into an old friend. This is probably due to the emergence in the Draconic chart of astrological degrees synonymous with old friends, foes and soul mates. BRITISH ROYAL FAMILY The Draconic and Natal combinations of popular British Royal family members is a virtual goldmine of information. The charts used are Queen Elizabeth, Prince Phillip, Prince Charles, Princess Diana, Prince William and Prince Henry. Synastry buffs will discover many more links than I have space to mention. Once again the personal points of Sun, Moon, Ascendant and Midheaven provide pivotal information on hereditary and karmic history. I have used the Solar Fire software and Clifford data collection for my charts and calculations -- with the exception of Prince Phillip -- the source of which is astrologer, Deborah Houlding. The True Moon Nodes have been used in this study. DRACONIC/DRACONIC COMPARISONS 1. William's Dr.MOON (21.38 Pisces) conjunct Henry's Dr. MOON (21.43 Pisces) conjunct Charles' Dr.MOON (25.28 Pisces) conjunct Diana's Dr.Uranus (25.10 Pisces) Conjunct Elizabeth's Dr.PLUTO (22.36 Pisces) opposition Diana's Dr.MOON (26.52 Virgo) 2. William's Dr.AS (14.10 Virgo) is conjunct Henry's Dr.MC (17.30 Virgo) DRACONIC/NATAL COMPARISONS 1. Phillip's Dr.SUN (23.40 Scorpio) is conjunct Elizabeth's natal MC (25.33 Scorpio), conjunct Charles natal SUN (22.25 Scorpio) conjunct Diana's Dr. IC (24.53 Scorpio). 2. William's Dr.MC (19.08 Cancer) is conjunct Diana's Dr. ASC (20.14 Cancer) conjunct Henry's Dr.SUN (23.19 Cancer). All are opposition Elizabeth's N.ASC (21.23 Capricorn) 3. Charles' natal ASC (5.25 Leo) is conjunct Elizabeth's Dr.MC (5.26 Leo) opposition Diana's Dr.MERCURY (5.02 Aquarius), square to Phillip's natal Venus (5.43 Taurus) 4. Charles' natal MC (13.18 Aries) is conjunct Phillip's Dr.MC (11.33 Aries). 5. Charles Dr.ASC (0.26 Cancer) is conjunct William's natal SUN (0.06 Cancer) and in slightly wider conjunction to his natal Moon (4.58 Cancer). These are square Elizabeth's Dr.AS (1.16 Libra). 6. Diana's Dr.MOON (26.52 Virgo) is conjunct Henry's natal Sun (22.57 Virgo). As mentioned above Charles Dr.MOON is opposition at 25.28 Pisces. 7. Elizabeth's Dr.Jupiter (2.24 Scorpio) is conjunct William's natal Jupiter (0.29 Scorpio) and MC (2.28 Scorpio) and conjunct Henry's Dr.Jupiter (3.56 Scorpio). 8. Elizabeth's natal MC (25.33 Scorpio) and Saturn (24.27 Scorpio) are conjunct Charles' Dr.Jupiter (24.55 Scorpio) 9. Elizabeth's Dr.SUN (10.06 Capricorn) is opposition Diana's natal Sun (9.40 Cancer). 10. Phillip's Dr.SUN (23.40 Scorpio) and Dr.Mars (28.55 Scorpio) are square to Diana's natal Uranus (23.20 Leo) and northern Moon Nodes (28.10 Leo). 11. Phillip's Dr.AS (18.57 Gemini) is opposition Diana's natal ASC (18.24 Sagittarius). His Dr. Mercury (17.51 Sagittarius) and wider, his Dr.Pluto (12.15 Sagittarius) are conjunct her natal AS. -- and the list of contacts goes on, with surprisingly close orbs of influence. The interpretation of these links is fairly straightforward and the reader will have their own ideas as to the messages conveyed. Positive emotional potential (Dr.Moons) between Charles and his sons, was unsettled and awakened to new expressions through Diana's erratic behaviour (Dr.Uranus) and Elizabeth's powerful obsession with duty and conventionalism (Dr.Pluto). The 'Us and Them' attitude is depicted by Elizabeth's natal AS opposition the Dr. AS,MC and Sun of Diana and her sons -- and reinforced by Elizabeth's Dr.Sun opposition Diana's natal Sun. The lineage to the throne is indicated by Elizabeth and Charles' Dr. Ascendants aspecting William's natal Sun. The strong presence of Dr. and natal Jupiter links is another convincing factor. Irritation between Phillip and Diana can be seen from Phillip's Dr. Sun conjunct Dr. Mars square Diana's natal Uranus and natal North Moon Nodes. His Dr. AS opposition her natal AS, plus his Dr. Mercury and Pluto conjunct her natal AS, suggests more undercurrent between them than was publicised. Each chart can be successfully drawn onto tri-wheel and tri-dials, to distinguish further how individuals relate to the rest of the group. My illustrations provide an introduction. Factors such as fixed stars, critical degrees and eclipse degrees can also be applied to draconic charts. For Cosmobiologists the planetary structure patterns and midpoint trees of the draconic chart remain the same (with the exception of Moon Nodes involvement). However the patterns of the Draconic chart fall in different sections of the 90-degree dial, providing additional sensitive time frames, especially when compared to the directions, progressions and transits. The individual comparison between natal and draconic structure patterns also interesting. Even by sticking to basics and comparing the zodiacal degrees between the draconic/draconic and draconic/natal charts of different individuals, the remarkable links formed for respective life journeys cannot be overlooked. Because our spiritual development requires us to meet the challenge of relationships rather than evade them, the Draconic chart provides new information as to who we are likely to attract in order to make the progress we spiritually crave. ©Pamela Rowe January 2001. i think i should add my personal insights- the links we dont often see in natal r often seen in draco, if u find significant links in draco it means u had karmic links to them-my dad's draconic saturn conjuncts my pisces ascendent to the exact degree! it also conjuncts my draconic sun, moon in pisces! we have no other saturn links in the natal.but the above aspects describe our relationship in the best possble way.i experience him as someone who freezes me to the core(unintentionally).and the rest u can deduce here's another to unravel ur karmic evolutionary needs, (through relationships) " DRACONIC ASTROLOGY A LEGACY FROM AN ANCIENT PAST By Patrizia Trotta Draconic astrology is an interesting branch of astrology which is becoming increasingly popular. Let's try to understand what it's all about. All we know about it is that it was part of ancient Babylonian astrology techniques, but tracing its origins would be impossible. What we also know is that it was apparently used by Edgar Cayce himself in his readings; people who took the time to study them have found out that when given people's birth details, Cayce described under hypnosis their personality and characteristics as seen from the draconic level of their astrological charts, rather than the tropical. For this reason, Draconic Astrology seems to have a "spiritual flavour", describing people's inner nature and the "soul personality", integrating the more psychological indications found in a chart. Draconic astrology uses a zodiac beginning at the Moon's North Node (Nodal Zodiac), which is treated as 0 Aries. This new nodal zodiac is not really different or obscure. In fact, it is probably easier to interpret as it tends to express the higher and purer principles of signs, aspects and houses, so no sweat! The astrology you know with traditional meanings of signs, aspects and houses is all you need. "Why use a draconic chart" you might ask? Because: 1) It may show how we developed in previous incarnations and therefore our soul qualities 2) It could also show the ideal to be reached by the Higher Self, in other words the "soul blueprint" and the Higher Self's intentions for the present incarnation Cool stuff! What is really interesting is that if we compare the tropical and draconic levels in a horoscope, we will find that certain life-themes will be indicated/repeated with great clarity. The links to watch out for between tropical and draconic levels are conjunctions and oppositions, as they tend to indicate what the soul should focus on and develop to evolve during the present incarnation. What I have also noticed for practical purposes is how revealing the placements of draconic Sun, Moon and Ascendant are (by sign and natal house), as they seem to give clues to the quality of a person's emotional body, his/her "hidden, real self". THE EMOTIONAL BODY What is an emotional body? According to our "subtle anatomy", we are made up of different "energy layers" called physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. The spiritual body is very powerful, it feeds all the other layers of our being and is the one that vibrates faster, while the emotional body seems to vibrate at a rather slow frequency, seemingly being addicted to unproductive emotions such as fear, anger, worry, etc. In fact, in order to further the development of our minds in the past century, we have chosen to ignore our more feeling nature and we have consequently been left with a seriously underdeveloped emotional body which needs a lot of healing. In short, we might have wonderful technology which allows us to live better and longer but we are certainly "emotionally backward". To make matters worse, we are plagued by various FEARS - many induced to keep us under control - through beliefs of scarcity, need for security which too often translates as fear of change, false expectations, hypocritical morals and values, all of which end up sapping our vitality and stifling our creativity and growth. Rapture and bliss are seldom part of our everyday emotional scenarios - stress, anxiety and fear are sadly more frequent visitors, aren't they? There is little doubt - we do need to evolve our emotional body to evolve ourselves. How do we go about doing that? Partly the "New Age" way - we need exposure to our own spiritual energies from the Higher Self through meditation, deep breathing, crystals, herbal remedies, or any other method one prefers. Wise men from all ages and nationalities have been teaching that we are Gods in the making, that time is an illusion, that we have enormous creative powers and that in being incarnate we are heading towards perfection; they also teach that we can live and grow through joy and bliss, rather than pain and fear. So maybe the time has come for us to start listening to them! Could it be that a childlike attitude of playfulness, simply taking a moment to listen to our inner voice before making any decision and learning to trust our inner guidance, could be very good ways to speed up our evolution, after all? While positive role models are certainly needed for humanity to develop in this direction, relying on other people, leaders or teachers, is becoming less relevant and necessary in the 21st century. It seems to me that what we really need as a new, growing race is to embrace our own real power and potential and become all that we can be by AWAKENING OUR FEARLESS SELF. In short, in order to evolve our emotional body and survive on our planet, we will have to learn to vibrate faster and thus embrace our multidimensionality. "WINDOWS TO THE SKY" Draconic astrology opens windows on other, subtler dimensions of our being, reflecting the multidimensionality many of us are beginning to claim as our "real Self". Because Draconic astrology gives clues to our Higher Self and its guidance, it potentially complements the more common Tropical astrology exquisitely well. The easiest and clearest way to gain a fuller picture of a person's potential is to place draconic positions around the Tropical birth planets in a bi-wheel chart and, as stated above, observe connections and links between these levels, the most powerful being conjunctions and oppositions, particularly to the angles. In this article, I'll be using the chart of a well-known actress/performer/writer/dancer to show how a simple application of this method can help the astrologer understand the dynamics of the Nodal zodiac and its potential. Before we begin, here is how to calculate Draconic positions: all you need to do is to subtract the longitude of your North Node from each planet's and angle's longitude. The easiest way is to convert all positions to ABSOLUTE LONGITUDE first, which is their position in the 360º circle (i.e. 0º Aries=0º ; 0º Taurus=30º ; 0º Gemini=60º etc. In this way, for example, natal Sun at 11º 30' Gemini will become 71º 30' in absolute longitude and natal Moon at 20º 15' Scorpio will translate as 230º 15' in absolute longitude). Of course, with a good computer program your Draconic chart is only a "click" away - calculating it by hand is just a bit more lengthy, but not really difficult. Here is a conversion table to help you: 0º Aries = 0º 0º Taurus = 30º 0º Gemini = 60º 0º Cancer = 90º 0º Leo = 120º 0º Virgo = 150º 0º Libra = 180º 0º Scorpio = 210º 0º Sagittarius = 240º 0º Capricorn = 270º 0º Aquarius = 300º 0º Pisces = 330º Once you have your draconic positions, you might want to write them in a different colour round your natal chart and note any Draco planets on natal angles, and any powerful aspects formed to natal planets. Almost always, you will find that important life themes will become evident. Note also the signs (and natal houses) that draconic Sun, Moon and Ascendant occupy, as they are usually very revealing and indicate hidden/unconscious talents or tendencies, as well as important areas of growth in this lifetime. A practical example is now needed to clarify the principles described above. SHIRLEY MACLAINE Details: dr.Moon/Neptune conjunct Jupiter, opposition Mercury; dr.Jupiter opposition Chiron; dr.Saturn conjunct Mercury, opposition Jupiter; dr.Venus conjunct Uranus, Mars and Sun; dr.Mercury conjunct Chiron; dr.Chiron conjunct Pluto; dr.Pluto conjunct Moon and Neptune, opposition Venus; dr.Sun in Gemini in the 9th house; dr.Moon in Libra in the first house and dr.Asc. in Scorpio in the second house. As most of you will know, this well-known and popular Hollywood actress wrote a series of very readable books in the '80s based on her personal experiences in the realms of metaphysics and New Age, contributing to the popularity of their concepts today. From her books and Hollywood gossip, we know that her love life has always been intense and rather "stormy" (dr. Venus conjunct Uranus, Mars and Sun). Her natal chart indicates that through intense relationships and the occult she would be totally transformed (8th house emphasised and outer planets prominent). Her Draconic chart confirms this tendency through Scorpio Ascendant (transformation) in the second house of values, a prominent Venus and intense Pluto in aspect to natal Moon and Venus - her feminine self needs to be transformed totally in this incarnation, not without trauma at times, in order to eliminate, refine and transmute unproductive attitudes. With such a strong Pluto the themes of abandonment, control and power have been at the basis of every difficult situation or relationship in her life, destined therefore to teach her the most important lessons orchestrated for her by her Higher Self, but with the promise of potential purification and rebirth. Shirley MacLaine has a considerable ego, a strong personality and iron will. Balancing her male and female sides, finding a compromise between her needs and those of her partners (dr. Moon in Libra) have been very important "tasks" assigned by her Higher Self, and obviously needed for her soul-growth. Mercury in inter-aspect with Neptune, Saturn and Chiron indicates that her mind is very active and disciplined, but also capable of channelling her strong intuition and creativity. Shirley MacLaine is certainly a rational, business-like Taurean lady, but she is also known for her inspired thoughts - the combination of logic and intuition has enabled her to explore uncharted territories of the human dimension, without losing sight of her discernment and practicality. Jupiter is prominent and very active, too. She has always liked to be unencumbered and free, craving to learn about different realities and broaden her horizons, which has resulted in many travels to foreign countries and her constant search for higher philosophies and the study of metaphysical principles. This fascinating and eclectic actress has always displayed a fighting spirit and a strong sense of justice. In her life she has been politically active (another expression of Jupiter), fighting for equality and for women's rights (strong Uranus and dr. Moon in Libra), and in a more recent past her eternal quest for the meaning and purpose of life led her to research various fields, such as quantum physics, holistic therapies, metaphysics and the occult, trying to find a link among these disciplines, which she then communicated through her books. Several draconic planets in her 9th house, Sun included, emphasise her inner need to explore and her drive to find "the truth", while her draco Sun in Gemini describes exceedingly well how learning, knowing, experiencing, pushing beyond the limits of accepted reality and communicating with versatility would be fundamental themes/tasks necessary for her own personal and spiritual growth. The above brief example was only meant to offer ideas and maybe guidelines as to possible uses of Draconic Astrology. I believe that to optimise the information gleaned through marrying draconic/tropical charts, you will need to make room for intuition and inspiration, as well as applying astro-logic. As more and more people awaken to their multidimensionality, the "new astrologers" are likely to have an important part to play in the healing of emotions on a global scale, and Draconic Astrology might just be what we need to help people (and ourselves) heal their emotions and regain their power by integrating their unconscious, multidimensional, Cosmic Self. I truly hope that this wonderful legacy from an ancient past has something to offer you. If you are curious and have the courage to explore your real Self for the greatest of adventures, maybe you'll be able to find many inner treasures still unexplored. And - who knows? - maybe with the help of Draconic Astrology you will even be able to find a few more pieces of the Grand Cosmic Puzzle of your own life. I wish you all a splendid "Multidimensional Treasure Hunt" that leads you to your own Cosmic heritage. Well I'm back on the medication I stopped taking the week before hooking up with him and its kicked in big time. Woo Hoo! Need to sort out my dramas properly before I can come off them again. Right now theres NO WAY I would ever put up with that cr@p from anyone! He really wore the brunt of my issues though, and 99% had nothing to do with him. I'm still hurt and angry but more angry at myself that I let myself get into such a state over him.Oh, and how's this for a perfectly timed ego boost? Last night I got a message from a guy I met out last weekend, at the time I was really drunk but he didn't try to pick me up or take me home or anything. Just wanted to talk and get to know me. He asked if I wanted to see him and we agreed to meet for lunch today, he even asked if he could pick me up. I agreed and thought 'see there are nice guys around'. I cancelled this morning though because I really don't wanna deal with anything like that at the moment I've got too much other stuff to do. It was nice to be appreciated though, the only thing pisces-boy did differently with his girlfriend than he did with me was introduce her to his family. He has no idea. He received a karmic lesson from me I think- not to lie, to think about other peoples feelings and to be responsible for his actions. North node and uranus were conjunct his sun when all the drama happened last weekend. Hopefully the NN will help his future growth. Feeling good. Heard his voice tonight and didn't care. Saw some of his idiot mates arriving at his place and it didn't bother me. Seeing him may be another story though, its possible I will tomorrow night but I'm not drinking anymore so I can be graceful and poised (I always was when I ignored him anyway). Wonder if the girl has forgiven him? Hmm, doubt it. She's nice and he screwed her worse than he did me. IP: Logged |
