Saturn (seriousness, responsibility) conjunct MC (outside world, public, fame, career) can mean that Saturn person's seriousness merges with MC person's public direction. In positive way, Saturn person can help the MC person to become more serious, responsible in their public image and career, and the MC person can also admire the Saturn person. In a negative way, Saturn person might limit the MC person and become too restrictive to him/her, thinking that the MC person is not responsible or serious enough. It depends on the rest of the chart and how the natal charts are. ^_^IP: Logged |

Thank you very much, comica23, for the reply :-)As Saturn aspects are important in synastry, I suppose this counts as one too... IP: Logged |

Btw, I only noticed now that my Saturn conjunct my bf's MC lol (thought it is out of sign conjunction).. XP I'm more irresponsible and lazy compared to him, and I definitely admire his serious and responsible sides. ^_^ Our IC also conjunct each other's MC.Sometimes, it's hard to find interpretations of certain aspects, but we can try to blend the symbolisms. I tried to that when I analyzed this aspect. ^_^ *edited* I've discovered that we don't have opposed MCs, but opposed ACs after all. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the welcome, Lalalinda, I'm really enjoying this forum :-) As for Saturn+MC, I also just recently started paying attention to the outer planets in synastry/composite. There is SO MUCH to learn... I have a very strong Saturn in my own chart, and I guess I have subconciously wanted to avoid thinking about any Saturn matters, as they seem to be so heavy... Anyway, I have finally accepted that the only way to somehow deal with Saturn influence is to face it with courage! Our Saturn contacts in synastry are: His Saturn conjunct my MC His Saturn sextile my Mercury My Saturn trine his Mars (my Saturn in his 1st i.e. angular house) Have a great day, Lana IP: Logged |

Lana,My ex BF and I had this aspect exact (0 degree orb.) What Comica said rings so true: "can mean that Saturn person's seriousness merges with MC person's public direction. In positive way, Saturn person can help the MC person to become more serious, responsible in their public image and career, and the MC person can also admire the Saturn person. In a negative way, Saturn person might limit the MC person and become too restrictive to him/her, thinking that the MC person is not responsible or serious enough." I really couldn't have put that better. I was the Saturn person and spent an inordinate amount of time helping him "shape" his career persona. We were together for 6 years and I know that he felt he could rely upon my judgement and responsibility, but I also know that he did feel restricted by it. Like my advice was always right, (and he resisted A LOT - with four planets in Sag) but somehow it diminished his confidence until he saw the long term outcome. Hope this helps! CDL IP: Logged |

i have this with a sibling. my way/style isnt her taste, and goes against everything she seems to like. we got along mostly growing up, but a lot of fighting, she would be critical and always try to bring me down a peg, but it never really worked. i think this aspect makes saturn critical of the MC...almost(and i mean almost) like sun conj saturn....MC is about how others see us, how we come off to others, almost like the sun...when saturn touches it, saturn disapproves and is critical. saturn wants to change MC's image, or shape it to their likening. this isnt a very good aspect i think, but this is something ive experienced with a sibling so it might be a tad different than say, synastry with a romantic partner.IP: Logged |

So nice to see an "old" post of mine bumped ;-) Thank you for your input, Claire de Lune (lovely name BTW) and writesomething.Lately I've noticed in some posts that MC is given much more emphasis than just being the career/ambition point. It makes sense to me and to understand MC better I've started to regard it as just a very sensitive personal point (as opposed to mere career related matters). That way any contact to it also becomes significant. IP: Logged |

Would Sun conjunct MC involve a 'paternal' feeling? Would the Sun person be protective of the MC owner or vice versa?IP: Logged |
