I was checking some new asteroids and found out that I have Hylonome # 10370 exactly conjunct my DSC, I googled for it and found a beautiful love story: ..... Hylonome and Cyllarus were centaurs. Their love was equal; on the hills they roamed together, and together they would go back to their cave; and this time too they went into the Lapithae’s palace side by side and side by side were fighting in the fray. A javelin (no knowing from whose hand) came from the left and wounded Cyllarus, landing below the place where the chest joins neck – slight wound, but when the point was pulled away, cold grew his damaged heart and cold his limbs. Hylonome embraced him as he died, caressed the wound and, putting lips to lips, she tried to stay his spirit as it fled. And when she saw him lifeless, she moaned words that in that uproar failed to reach my ears; and fell upon the spear that pierced her love, and, dying, held her husband in her arms.... Then I checked Cyllarus # 52975, and he is right on my ASC! I wonder if it means that I am pining for an ideal love that I am to never find? Aren't we all then? IP: Logged |

These asteroids are so new, there can be so many different interpretations of them.I like this myth, even though it is sad. Perhaps it's a testament to how our wounds can get in the way of love, when the point was taken away his heart ran cold and he died. Perhaps that symbolizes that when the wound is taken away and healed, being reborn (death is just transformation) and renewal of love instead of death and tragedy. They were both probably reborn into more joyful incarnations I'll think more about it - I enjoy the myths. IP: Logged |
