I can't relate to a lot of the descriptions of the Geminis here, except for when I was a teenager. I have ethics, morals, a good heart, and so do the Gemini women I know. I'm also monogamous. When I was younger I learned my lessons about deceit and manipulation pretty quickly. *shrug*I have encountered those negative traits in Gemini men, but I think it's more about judgments and beliefs effecting my reality then about all Gemini men being scum. There ARE mature Geminis, you know. IP: Logged |

NA:When I say I feel superior, I didn't necessarily mean this is the right way to feel, it's simply a thought/feeling that presents itself when I see the way certain geminis act. This is not to say all geminis are manipulative, unstable, and liars, its just a tendency. Saggies do tend to be very self righteous and egotistical, thinking they're alwasy right. IP: Logged |

Politically correct! Also I'd also like to say that I see many saggies as disorganized, flaky, and manic. I'm a sagittarius but I'm right on the capricorn cusp with a cap asc and a scorpio moon. I'm a very serious sag. Most saggies seem much more lighthearted than I am. They seem very high energy and short attention span, which is how many geminis seem to be as well. IP: Logged |

BlueRoamer, thanks for explaining I have Sun in the 7th so I am always trying to present the other side, sometimes when it's not needed. LOLI love Sag energy personally, talking to a guy now that has it.. I love going on adventures and so does he. IP: Logged |

I have noticed this with some of the sag's i have met. they come across as very wise...would give me loads of really good advice. but then when you look at their lives they make such terrible mistakes...and i'm like...hmmmm. they have a blind spot as far as their own lives are concerned. they are also not very open to accepting other people's advice, since they think they know the best. but of course, this is just my experience. and i haven't met that many sag suns as such...just two....but i know a lot of sag mooners. and i do really love the sag energy. i can identify with them quite a bit. and i dont even hv a 9th house influence. i have a bunch of jupiter aspects, but my jupiter is conj saturn....so ummm, its quite 'toned down'. may be its my gemini moon tht makes me take on the persona of the people i am with. *sigh* IP: Logged |

I know wht you are saying blue roamer, I am not the bouncing off the wall kind my self.. neither I slip on imaginary pebbles in limelight ... and no way I go into a gathering of strangers and start cracking jokes..I think it is more of leo moon thing with virgo rising.. it is very important to me what message I give out to people .. I hate to back out on my words.. More over I relate to "OX" personality of chinese zodiac.. proving the trustworthy and dependable partner is imperative to me. I personally think sag rising personalities are way more bubbly than sag sun. IP: Logged |

But frankly, i feel that there are more similarities than differences between the two. they r just two sides of the same coin. on the whole sag is one sign i respect, because i find them to be 'mature'. they 'think'. and their words of wisdom to leave me gaping in awe sometimes. most of the sag's i know are heavily into philosophy/religion/metaphysics, which is what i love the most about them. Wow, what fantastic responses! Thanks, guys! I don't have a close friendship with any Gems, but I do have a few Gemini acquaintances. They seem to bring out the lighter, verbally playful side of myself and I seem to do the same to them, so we relate basically on that one level, which makes it hard for me to notice major personality differences when we're together. But a lot of what you've pointed out rings true for me about the Gems I know, especially how they're more into committing to many activities while Sags value an open schedule more. One thing I've noticed is that Gems are more chameleon-like, presenting different faces to different people. Everyone does this to some extent, but in my experience Gems do it the most consistently and skillfully. I'm not sure if this is because (a) Gems are more social while Sags are more independent, making Gems feel a greater pressure to be liked so they deliberately adapt or if (b) it's a genuine part of their mutablity that makes them sincerely feel like what they're presenting is a real part of themselves...maybe a little bit of both, but I think it's mostly the latter. Anyway, I really like Gems, especially my 5 year old nephew who is the coolest Gemini ever. Really, he is. Sorry, Neon Artemis. ILWL - You're clearly very wise if you love Sags . I'm curious what could be influencing your identification with that sign. Do you have any asteroids there? Eros, Psyche? Sappho? Any major midpoints fall in Sag? IP: Logged |

jane, it might just be an attraction between my moon and their sun (well, erm, actually the moon and asc....i really love this guy who has a sag stellium) . i dont know how it works out astrologically...but personality wise....may be my eternal quest for truth...my inclination towards spirituality....and my love for God........i dunno. these are very defining parts of my personality. i do have some jupiter aspects (it is part of a grand trine, and aspects 5 other planets in my chart, which is exactly the score saturn has...so i dunno). i dont even have any neptune aspects apart from a neptune sextile pluto, which almost everybody here has ! may be that itself makes neptune important....a lot of contained energy.....it is least aspected and in sagittarius...also a fire singleton. i suspect that neptune is the culprit. another reason i love sag's is that they bring out my witty fun verbal side too, like no other does. *edit* i have my vertex there...and phallas...but really, i didnt think they were that imp...i'd still blame it on the least aspected and singleton neptune IP: Logged |

I have a Gemini Ascendant (and Saturn) and a Sag stellium. quote: Gemini normally sees two sides of something, but Sag breaks that because they create MANY sides to something.. unlimited possibility.
I think this is very inaccurate. Gemini actually see things from many angles simultaneously. They are the Mercurial Intellectual. Philosophically, you may be correct. Geminis get into details, whereas Sag likes to maintain a broad view. The Sag's broad view, though, isn't necessarily terribly practical. It is more spiritual, and almost Neptunian. It's like Neptune on fire. Sag's biggest upsets in life are those limitations it thinks it can move beyond ("unlimited possibility," you said), so in an argument with a Gemini, the Gemini might just have a point. quote: One thing I've noticed is that Gems are more chameleon-like, presenting different faces to different people. Everyone does this to some extent, but in my experience Gems do it the most consistently and skillfully.
Gemini is symbolized by the twins for a reason. Seeing things from so many perspectives allows them to relate from a variety of viewpoints. Call it Geminian empathy. quote: may be that itself makes neptune important....a lot of contained energy.....it is least aspected and in sagittarius...also a fire singleton. i suspect that neptune is the culprit.
I'd agree. IP: Logged |

I tend to skip threads here that are this long, so I'm just gonna agree with what jupitersgirl first said. I'm also a Sag with a close Gemini friend and I would have to say it's a noticeable difference - she models, is on a dance team, goes to school, parties often, and has a string of men she is involved with at different times. She even complains about it because of the stress, but she loves it, it's what makes her feel good and comfortable. I however, am great at canceling, avoiding, and flaking lol. Another Sag friend of mine said, you're just like me, addicted to purely free time. Just the idea of commitments gets me nervous. IP: Logged |

Neptune on FireI really like that, AG. I think Cosmic View might describe Sag's perspective better than broader view. Gemini may be in the air, flitting about here and there, but their focus seems for the most part, more on earthly things than Sags. I love Aquarians too. They always seem the ones who most understand me and there's always mutual pull to connect...but I agree about the control issue, BR. They are much more in control and uptight about every aspect of their lives, than their supposed unpredictability would ever care to admit. And obsessive-compulsive about their freedom, which moots the point of it, doesn't it? (Clutching so fervantly for something Free--how could that be Free?) You described that so well.

My mumsie is a Sag She's very sweet and takes a lot of sh*t but push her too much or she'll show you her hooves. My former friend was a Gemini and she was a bit more aggressive (mind you it could have been nearly all of her planets in fire signs), she burnt this lil fishy's bumIP: Logged |

Maybe it's just that pisces is actually co-ruled by jupiter? And pisces are a submerged jupiter?Jupiter DID come first after all. *hmph* I'm far too hard on aquarians and geminis. I've just happened to have most of my run ins with those two signs. Also I've lived 2 years in a row (not on purpose) with uptight aquarian females who go to a certain snobby law school which shall remain nameless. You can imagine the type of aquarian female who goes to an ivy league law school. Oh no, their **** dont' stink. *shudder* IP: Logged |

Althought I haven't read all the descriptions... i can relate to most of them. Yes, some gemini's do develop and become "mature gemini's" while other geminis don't. One of my past gemini friends still acts as if he's five yrs old looking for his mommy. And yes, i used to be rally manipulative back in my late teen years.. I'm not so much now....after paying the price for something i did. Give the gemini man sometime in a couple years he won't be the same guy, he might develop or might do the opposite. If he's a good gemini he's learning from his mistakes and thinking as he goes. All admit i'm not done yet, and I am not fully mature myself, I still have a lot to learn of course... I'm still in college my capircorn rissing helps thought. I hope you guess don't judge me for saying that. IP: Logged |

Yeah, and gemini's cleverness or "twin" ness often gets them into trouble with Sag because sag sees it as plain dishonesty. This has happened alot betweenme and my boyfriend in the past. Like the time before we became a couple, I did a totally gemini venus thing and had my sister pretend to be me and talk to him because I couldn't do it (shy virgo moon). Well, somehow the plan fell apart and he figured it out (Scorpio sun, go figure). Lets just say he wasn't too happy at the time because he already percieved that I played games (my gemini venus showing again) , but now he laughs because he knows why I did it. IP: Logged |

RE: Geminis: quote: They also tend to be pretty physically attractive and hold on to their youthful looks for a long while, somethign that I hope they dont' take for granted.
Sagittarius also bestows a youthful appearance. People with Venus in Gemini or Sagittarius (or 3rd/9th Houses) or their Ascendant in either sign often look much younger than they are. quote: Sags are more general and broad in their approach to life; Gems are a little more precise and don't miss details.
The precise vs. broad comparison definitely seems true. I have a lot of Sag, and I worked for a long time with a Gemini Sun (we adopted each other as brother & sister). He tended to get absorbed by the details, which frustrated me. And I frustrated him by moving on too quickly. Me: We’re DONE! Him: We’re not done. Have you even looked at this? Me: Have you even thought about our next ad? I did last week. I think it should have monkeys. Him: What color? Black monkeys are funnier than brown monkeys, you know. Together we were quite a team because our weak spots were covered by the other. We were like “The Little ADD-ers Who Could.” Our desks were side-by-side and they looked like a toystore. Oh, and we pulled off some legendary pranks. The other employees were simultaneously horrified by us and enamored with us. Good times, good times… quote: The Sag's broad view, though, isn't necessarily terribly practical. It is more spiritual, and almost Neptunian. It's like Neptune on fire. Sag's biggest upsets in life are those limitations it thinks it can move beyond ("unlimited possibility," you said), so in an argument with a Gemini, the Gemini might just have a point.
You put this very, very, very well. When I debate/argue/discuss with a Gemini, at times I need to concede because I realize I didn’t think something through as much as needed or I neglected a key detail. The nice thing is that (in my experiences), not only will a Gemini-influenced person pick up on any missing details or practicality, they are always willing to help solve them with their cleverness.

Most of the Sags I've known have been very dishonest and manipulative, though I'm sure there are a lot of really good Sags out there. The few good Sags I've known have been: 1) Naive and kind (sometimes a bad combo) 2) Intelligent, but speaks without thinking first 3) Careless with details, but understands the big picture 4) Irresponsible and lack of discipline 5) Humorous 6) Spontaneous 7) Love adventure and travel 8) Very optimistic 9) Needs physical freedom 10) Arrogant and appear to be superficial I'm a Gemini, but I'm known for being too truthful. I never really understood why people associate "lying" with Geminis because I've found liars in every sign. I've never found one sign or the other to be more honest or dishonest than the other. Geminis: 1) Love detail 2) Intelligent 3) Youthful 4) Versatile 5) Appear to be superficial 6) Mentally restless 7) Humorous 8) Short attention span 9) Unprejudiced 10) Needs mental freedom IP: Logged |

The main difference in my opinion is that Sag's REALLY respects personal freedom for everyone, while Gem isn't above manipulation to get their way. Sags may appear distant, but that's not the same as being distant. Gem (sometimes) only register what they want to hear, and leaves the rest. Gems seems to be obsessed with looks - Sag's are more about the inside of a person.. Gem sometimes lack irony of self. Sag doesn't care - as long as everyone is laughing.. IP: Logged |
