Hi all. I was just curious what your Draconic stats are and if you identify with them.In case you haven't made your draconic chart yet, you can find your placements here: http://www.noendpress.com/pvachier/arabicparts/index.php 1. In the first box, put "Aries" "0 deg, 0 min". 2. In the second box, put what you're trying to find. (If you want to know your draconic Sun, enter in your natal Sun's placement information.) 3. In the third box, enter your North Node's placement. Then, just leave the first and third box alone, and use the 2nd box to find the draconic version of your moon, asc, etc. I believe it was Izo who came up with this brilliant shortcut, so 3 cheers for Izo. Hi Jane, interesting thread that you´ve started My Drac Sun: Taurus;falls in my natal 8th Drac Moon: Pisces;falls in my natal 6th Drac Asc: Cancer;falls in my natal 7th Natally i have Virgo sun;Taurus moon;Libra Asc. To be honest, i feel more identified with the draconics rather on the natal ( concerning the sun at least). Virgos are said to be very analitical and critics, demanding and pushing others like no one.Are said to be cold and not veru emocional. I consider myself none of that however.Maybe cause other placements like the moon, or asc makes me more sensitive and caring and more emocional than what expected from a Virgo girl. love and family for me is way more important than anything else ( cancer asc?). The draconics show me i was very into feelings and emotions, and also liked luxurious environments and sensual pleasures ( taurus sun) - this life im also like that IP: Logged |

hi, here are a few exerpts from articles that got me started into Draconics, they explain a great deal.."""It is said that life lessons which surface when comparing the Draconic to the Tropical chart will always manifest in the charts of those with whom we form close relationships. Transits and progressions to the Draconic chart may manifest as major events which alter the course of our lives." One Node is associated with intake and the other with an outward flow, like respiration with the breathe going in and out or the tide’s ebb and flow..... In some opinions the South Node represents the past and those areas of life we have experienced in a previous incarnation. Those areas if emphasized in this lifetime prevent growth, since we have already become accomplished in this area. The South Node tells you, in essence, "been there, done that". The North Node represents the future and what we need to strive towards to balance our personalities, and to empower our souls on a forward path. The North Node shows us the direction where we will become whole, internally united and empowered, if we choose to go. The South Node then, according to this philosophy looks backwards, relying on abilities one is already comfortable and competent with, but by adhering to the tried and true we miss out on a whole realm of experience and become one sided. The North Node points to new, unexplored territory, which may be daunting to the timid, but which if embraced creates joy, fulfillment, and coalescence. The South Node represents abilities and aptitudes we are born with in this life, and the North Node is the direction in which we can build or realize new skills and strengths that complement and enhance our natural ones. It then follows that to accentuate the area of life represented by the North Node via its house and sign will benefit the growth of the soul as it struggles on its spiral towards perfection. The South Node may show what we possess innately, and the North what we lack, but only by striving for those very qualities which are the antithesis of our nature may we become a whole person, at one with the universe, and at peace. In every opposition and every duality one side both balances and needs the other to maintain its own balance. We often do not know just what our strengths and positive attributes are until we project them outward and utilize them with the other as represented by the opposition aspect Compare the Tropical chart to the Draconic to examine the theme of the life search for actualization. If the Tropical planetary positions of another persons chart coincides with a Draconic placement in your chart, this person will in some way teach or challenge you to use the abilities of your Draconic planet in a way that sows seeds for future flowering. The same may be said for transits and progressions to those Draconic degrees. Aspects between charts retain their basic interpretations. If by trine; in positive, easy ways that inspire. If by square, by creating tension and cross purposes which may test your resolve. If by opposition a choice must be made, balance must be created, and if by conjunction the lesson may be for good or ill, but certainly important. Since we have choice to set out on this quest to fulfill our spiritual needs and as the Draconic chart is based on the Aries point which represents taking action, it follows that to manifest the best and highest of our nature we must deliberately seek the characteristics and concepts of the planets and signs Draconically pointed out. Each individual walks his own unique path, and only by self searching and reflection will you understand the particular lesson that is yours to learn. Below there are some guidelines, but choose what makes you feel right on target, trust to the voice of your Higher Self , and you can never go wrong. ~*~ """"" IP: Logged |

Pamela Crane has done path breaking work vinto the blending of Draco0Natal and Heliocentric Astrology, i dont have her book though, but in an excerpt from the book is a eye- opener, apparently Edgar Cayce used to give astrological Readings in his Trance states but he never gave Natal, rather he only ever chanelled the Draco positions in his trances !! ""Pamela Crane's book, "Draconic Astrology", published by Arkana in 1987. To simplify one of the postulates in the book, she believes that the American seer, Edgar Cayce was constantly referring to the influence of the draconic chart in many of his so-called "Life-Readings", that he offered from the years 1923-1945. She gives several examples of such life-readings, and includes both the tropical and the draconic charts for our comparison. Then recently, I came across a book called "Edgar Cayce's Astrology For The Soul", by Margaret Gammon and W.H.Church, published by the A.R.E., 1998. Examples of Cayce's life-readings abound in this book, including a couple that Crane gave. The difference is that Gammon and Church seem mystified by Cayce's references to strong planetary and sign influences that seem to have no bearing on the tropical charts given. Yet look at the draconic level and there they are! I'll give you a couple of examples: Feb 26 1915 5:56pm, Oceana, Virginia. "...These influences all come from the Atlantean's activities that have brought Libra ( of the balance ) in such a manner that it might be said of the entity indeed there is a path cut out for thee...." "....In Venus as combined with Mercury and the activities in Uranus we find the interest in things mechanical"
Of the above, Gammon and Church admit "We cannot recognise the orthodox description of Libra from the above, nor reconcile it's influence, unless Libra is on the Ascendant and we are at least one sign behind!"
In the draconic chart, Libra rises. Not only that, but the ruler Venus, is in Aquarius ( "Uranus" ), conjunct tropical Mercury and the North Node. "In Venus as combined with Mercury and the activities in Uranus we find the interest in things mechanical..."
In this next example, I'll quote from Pamela Crane's book, page 23: The data is: Aug 13th 1917 11:29 pm Cincinnati, Ohio.
" To begin with, it is clear that Cayce is not merely employing astrological references as character description; he is not simply correlating trait with planet and sign, nor even does he seem to be taking a symbolic approach. He says, "the soul and spirit entity took its flight... from Venus forces", from which we plainly understand that the person *is* soul, *is* spirit, that these two aspects of the discarnate being combine, and that there is a place of departure (if "place" is the right word) prior to manifestation on earth. The departure takes place from "forces" and this term recurs throughout the Life Readings. "
Of the above chart, Cayce says: "...we find the soul and spirit entity took it's flight........from .. Venus' forces, with those of Jupiter, Mercury, Neptune, being the ones in the assistance to the conditions, bringing the forces to this present plane's development."
Crane comments: " The strength of 'Venus' forces' - far from evident in the tropical map - stands out in the Draconic chart, with four planets (Moon, Mars, Neptune and Saturn ), in the sign of Libra, Uranus and the Midheaven in Taurus, and, clearly seen for the first time.....[Draconic]Venus herself at 9*44' Sagittarius, less than a degree from the western horizon of the tropical chart.... .....we can understand that the forces of Jupiter, Mercury and Neptune are helping the individual's life progress, and observe not only Jupiter conjoined with the Ascendant [tropical to tropical], but the Draconic Jupiter less than 7* from the Tropical Sun in Leo, and two planets in draconic] Sagittarius..Mercury is one of these, and also close to the degree of the tropical 7th cusp..... Neptune is at first a puzzle. Pisces is untenanted by planets, and Neptune does not seem to be strongly positioned But read on:
'Arcturus being in the greater force for this development upon this plane, (the soul) receiving then the greater force by the influence of Arcturus with ....the dwelling forces of Neptune.'
Neptune and Arcturus are linked, and with the 'greater forces for this development...' ...the superimposition of the two zodiacs brings Draconic Arcturus into the conjunction with the Moon's North Node, the Dragon's Head itself - indeed a force for development - and Draconic Neptune falls conjunct the tropical Arcturus. Thus, the three forces are interlinked. FORCES, mark you! Astrology is coming ALIVE! "
This, it seems to me, is a rich seam to be explored. The draconic chart, as it impinges through alignments with the tropical, would seem to be giving us a glimpse of the Soul's line of development, of it's purpose and spiritual mandate, as it takes birth on the physical plane.
The tropical chart represents the visible tree, branches, fruit and leaves. The draconic is, to stretch the analogy, perhaps the invisible sap that feeds it from deep within. ""}"
Sorry the post is so lengthy, but I wanted to quote in full this exciting info

as for me my Draco is as under Sun and moon in Pisces ( Natal Cancer) Ascendent Saggitarius ( Natal Pisces) on Draco positions, Pamela Crane has written thus... " THE DRACONIC ASCENDANT The natal Ascendant describes how others perceive us in a physical sense, the silent message we project through our physical image. THE DRACONIC ASCENDANT is our intuitive identity, certain hereditary factors and the unique qualities we pass on through reproduction and spiritual teaching. For further information consider the decanate of the Draconic Ascendant (eg 28°26' Libra on the Draconic Ascendant is in its 3rd decan, incorporating a Gemini/Mercury influence to the Libran energies). THE DRACONIC MIDHEAVEN The natal Midheaven depicts our ego expression, career, worldy status, parent figures and mentors. The Draconic Midheaven speaks more of super-consciousness, the soul's divine quest, vocation as distinct from occupation. Astrologers already familiar with house meanings, aspects and primarily the interpretation of their own natal chart, will liken the experience of interpreting their Draconic chart to that of bumping into an old friend. This is probably due to the emergence in the Draconic chart of astrological degrees synonymous with old friends, foes and soul mates. ""' IP: Logged |

Sun: Scorpio (Natal Cap) Moon: Aries (Natal Gem) Rising: Libra (Natal Scorp)I do identify with them, I've always felt like a Scorpio and it's my chart ruler so to see that it is my sun in the Draconic chart I absolutely love. Aries moon I identify with somewhat- more than I do with my Gemini moon. And the Libra rising is pretty much me but the my Scorp rising fits that better in this situation. Over all I do identify with them and thanks for sharing it! IP: Logged |

My dr Sun is 16° Aries (falls in my 4th house / natal Sun is in Sag) My dr Moon is 07° Gemini (falls on my DC/ natal Moon is in Aquarius) My dr AC is 27° Pisces (falls into my 3rd house / natal AC is in Sag)I certainly do identify with the dr AC, but then Neptune is conjunct my natal AC, too, so I guess it just emphasizes the neptunian influence. I`m not sure about the Aries and Gemini-placements, but I noticed that I tend to have relationships and friendships with people, who trigger my draconic Sun and Moon. DD IP: Logged |

Well,well,well..... draconic sun: 10 Leo (falls in my natal 7th house and my draconic 7th) draconic moon: 21 virgo (falls in my natal 9th house, but my draconic 8th house) draconic Asc: 5 Aquarius (falls in my 1st house)
I find it interesting that I still have a 7th house sun and 8th house moon even in my draconic chart. It seems that my moon is still in the same sign, but my sun and Asc have swtiched up ( I have a cancer sun opposite Cap Asc.). I still have sun opposition Asc in the draconic chart as well.
I do identify with the virgo moon (obviously since I have a virgo moon) and the Aqua Asc and that makes sense since Aqua takes up most of my 1st house natally and uranus conjuncts my chart ruler. But I don't identify so much the leo sun (shouldn't come as a suprise that this is one of the signs I tend to clash with frequently in life). IP: Logged |

Interestingly enough I am very attracted to people with Virgo (which is my natal Descendant) and Capricorn in their charts. IP: Logged |

Drac Sun: 27 Taurus 50 Drac Moon: 7 Sagittarius 53 Drac Asc: 9 Cancer 8My draconic sun would fall into my 5th house in my normal natal chart, my draconic moon in the 11th, and my draconic ascendant in my 7th house. My draconic sun / moon / ascendant all seem to oppose their normal natal counterparts by 5 degrees. I definitely feel that I can identify with my "normal" natal placements more than the draconic ones. ------------------ Sun: Scorpio Moon: Gemini Asc: Capricorn IP: Logged |

This is cool. My Sun = Pisces Asc= Gemini Moon= Capricorn Venus= Capricorn Mars= CapricornI don't feel at all like a Pisces, Gemini, or Capricorn nor I don't have relationships with these signs. How are you guys finding out which house they fall into? Are you just using natal house cusps? If so, I have no houses in Pisces. What would that mean? Either way, it was interesting to do. ------------------ Sun Aqua, Moon Sagg, Asc Taurus

well, since we are all so into this, lets all analyse our Draco-Natal interactions in the light of the following info from theses sites http://www.solsticepoint.com/dragontxt.htm ""' When the Sun is highlighted in a Draconic comparison, you may reach out and achieve your potential through taking pleasure in creative abilities. One may create on many levels; you may visualize your goals, take pride in leadership and worldly accomplishment, raise either a child of the body or the mind, or simply enjoy and enlighten those around you. Whatever you focus your whole heart on will be successful if you will concentrate on the matters associated with this placement by house and by sign. ~*~ Should the Moon be notably aspected the expression of feelings and emotion will lead you on a path by which you may find completion. Attuning to the rhythms of the world around you, cherishing those people and things which surround you in daily life, and being receptive is the way to fulfillment of your Draconic road. Opportunities are presented for you to nurture and feed others as well as the self, whether physically, mentally, or emotionally. Learn to listen and reflect on what you hear and feel. ~*~ Mercury as a focus planet directs one towards using logic and precision in everyday matters. Strive for clarity of thought, use the mind as a tool for accomplishing your visions. What you say and write may have importance for your future. Information may be a springboard for consolidating your conflicts. The handle for improvement may lie within the immediate environment. Thoughts are things, so direct your mind along pleasant paths. ~*~ Venus lights the way of potentiality via relationships, social activities, and the ability to love. Pay close attention to people and things attracted into the life through no effort of your own. While you walk on a road with another being harmonize and agree with them. Appreciation of beauty and the arts may catapult you into new and untried directions. Your gaiety and kindness may attract friends that help you in times to come. ~*~ When Mars is the planet accentuated work and effort will be the rewarding areas of life to concentrate on. There may be higher implications in actions taken. Push forward your personal desires, assert yourself and go after those things you want. Your own initiative may produce a turning point for your future. By pleasing yourself first you may become a pleasure for others. Accept challenges and bravely face struggles as you can grow by overcoming strife. ~*~ The only way to deal with Saturn in any form is to accept the limitations put upon you and learn to follow the rules. As you become aware of the value of public recognition or accept the fact that a reputation is built and not given without merit, you grow in wisdom. Obstructions and responsibilities are placed in your path so that you may become stronger, more capable, and more organized. Learning to plan for the future is your vehicle for gaining self respect. Ethical considerations are important to your fulfillment. ~*~ Jupiter in the Draconic chart gives deeper meaning to the development of philosophy and faith. How you react to the opinions of others and their words has a deeper portent for you. Acts of generosity to and from other people, especially family, may be signposts to future rewards. Learning to refine your judgment, weigh what is wasteful and extravagant versus what empowers others, and expanding your horizons are all areas to explore. Educational opportunities are avenues of positive portent. ~*~ Uranus brings sudden changes and unusual circumstances into the life and by meeting these face on you grow and fulfill the other side of your personality. Accept the new and different. The key to future possibilities lies in chance meetings and temporary friendships that spark new thoughts and goals. Embrace change, progress, and humanitarian endeavors. Refuse to stick with the tried and true out of fear. Learn to adjust to change. Let your innate independence shine. ~*~ The Draconic chart with Neptune exchanges indicates that seeds may be sown through an awareness of compassion and sympathy. Once we realize that all mankind is swimming together in a sea of similar consciousness, we may touch the pain of others from within ourselves. Acts of kindness stemming from imagined needs may be catalysts to our future. Confusing or glamorous situations may arise where things are not as they appear, but by accepting these without fear one may walk a path of higher ideals. Don’t shirk from sympathy or accepting charity. Walking a mile in another’s shoes may help you advance on your own road. ~*~ In Draconic charts Pluto dominating the delineation may point to accepting major upheavals as the route to satisfy the souls quest. There are people, situations, and things which must be eliminated and discarded to clear the road for future accomplishment. Pluto may represent abandonment of an element of the life that is the key to the future performance. The proverb, As we sow, so we reap reminds us to banish resentment from the past before we replant. Purity of purpose is all important with Pluto. ~*~ The Vertex involved in a Draconic combination blends the meaning of the Vertex with Nodes. There is no personal control whatsoever over the situation. The power over our own future lies in the hands of someone else. Another person is thrown into the life and we are swept up into a relationship that may , by surrendering our selves to the influence of the other, fulfill our personal dreams and bring them into actuality. ~*~ Draconic degrees show you exactly where you can grow, widen, fulfill, and enhance your life. These are the important points that can show where you may initiate individual growth of spirit and travel from what was into what will be. We can choose to make our futures brighter and happier by searching for the critical points upon which that future may hinge. Use your Draconic Chart as a sign post pointing to relationships and experiences that will help you become rather than just be """ IP: Logged | |
