Both my girlfriend and I have 29th degree Moons. Her's is in Gemini, and mine's in Virgo. My Virgo Moon is in the 5th house. How does it play out in my life? I guess I analyze emotions. I live somewhat vicariously where emotions are concerned. It's not that I'm devoid of emotion, but there can be, and generally is, a bit of disconnection where emotions are concerned. I can read the subtlety of people with a good degree of mastery. Apparently in Vedic astrology the Moon indicates a certain depth of mind, and I think that with a Virgo Moon that's certainly the case. IP: Logged |

hm, my Saturn in 29 degrees in Sag in my sixth house, i really dont know what that means though. just read an article about anaretic degrees and if you have one for Saturn then it means that you are very disorgnized and have a serious problem with responsibility. seems to be true for the most part IP: Logged |

Natal MC at 29 degrees Leo, IC at 29 Aquarius. I just noticed that transiting Mercury is conjunct my MC today! Well interestingly enough, today has been a day where I've been speaking out to other people about what I expect out of them and what direction I want my life to go in. So that's interesting.

Here is something I found on CRITICAL DEGREES in the web some months ago:“Significance of the First and the Last Degree: …) Liz Greene, in one of her books (The Outer Planets and Their Cycles) remarks that within one and the same sign, its characteristics are manifested most intensively at the beginning and at the end. Particularly interesting is the last degree of each sign. We are used to think that towards the end of a sign, its influence decreases, whereas the influence of the next sign starts to manifest. Here lies the surprise - at the end, its influence gets stronger again and manifests very intensively. It is as if at the last step, the sign wanted another opportunity to show its identity before the new quality starts to dominate.” Including Indian Astrology, this web-user discussed even MORE critical degrees: “By further investigation I found an older book from Myrna Lofthus ("A Spiritual Approach to Astrology") giving insight into the significance of particular group of critical degrees. Here is their classification: 1. degree of cardinal signs - new beginning (the ARIES POINT/Alvarella) 13. degree of cardinal signs - frustration due to maladjustment 26. degree of cardinal signs - warning that plans are being overvalued before further progress is made 9. degree of fixed signs - faith in ability to overcome all obstacles and difficulties. 15. degree of fixed signs - attachment to the law of karma - possibility for an advanced soul to fulfil its destiny and to teach others 21. degree of fixed signs - agonies caused by purification of egoistic mind. 4. degree of mutable signs - overcoming all prejudices and accepting the unity with everything. 17. degree of mutable signs - rebirth through the contact with the knowledge form unconscious mind (You find the complete thing here: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Olympus/8784/critical.html) Dear WRITESOMETHING: I have no placements in the first or last degrees of a sign (only house cusps) – but I have some placements under the “critical degrees” mentioned aboved. I’ll name a few here, and how I perceive that: “26. degree of cardinal signs - warning that plans are being overvalued before further progress is made”: I have PT. of FORTUNE in 26° Aries (5th house) – and indeed I tend to be too impulsive in my romantic/creative life very often. This goes especially (!) for romance. In my creative work I am often overwhelmed by an idea – and start to work on it/presenting it too early whithout proper preparation - so that I have to correct and re-work everything again later. My JUPITER is in 26° Libra (11th house) – again too much impulsiveness and blind faith sometimes. Excessive planning, hoping, scheming, "thinking big” (very big!). “4. degree of mutable signs - overcoming all prejudices and accepting the unity with everything.”
My VENUS cj. SN. is in 4° Virgo (9th house) – and also conjunct the Parts of Deceit, Prudence and Sensitivity (<1dg.). In fact, the matters of “deceit, betrayal, truthfulness, disappointment, forgiving” play an important part in my love life again and again. I am not sure whether I have already “overcome all prejudices” in this regard ….;-) My NN is in 4° Pisces (3rd) house – I guess I am a very openminded talker, quite sensitive and manage to get along with anybody, be it a boss or a beggar, I am quite tolerant in my day to day life, can accept the diversity of people and understand their point of view easily without taking it too personally. “17. degree of mutable signs - rebirth through the contact with the knowledge form unconscious mind”
My Pt. of LIBIDO is in 17° Sagittarius (1st) house – not sure, how much “unconsciousness” is included with that … ;-) What do you all think about this additional critical degrees-theory?

I wanted to make clear *what* degrees we're talking about here -- is this like the Sabian symbols in that "1 deg of Cardinal signs" is 0-1, 13 is 12-13, and 26 is 25-26??IP: Logged |

AZALAKSH, I am sorry, I cannot answer your question (Sabian symbols) - because this was a quote from the web (check the given link, if you want to). The user who posted all this didn't mention Sabian symbols - and I myself am not experienced enough to add something to that. ;-) IP: Logged |

0, 13, and 26 are the critical cardinal degrees. 0 (cardinal) being the Aries Point.to answer your question Zala no, it has to be on the degree. Minutes and seconds are ok Mercury 0 Aries (3) conjunct the nadir Mars 29 Gemini (7) IP: Logged |

Geminilover75~Once again we have something else in common...your IC/MC are EXACTLY opposed to mine(My IC is on your MC & vice-versa)at the 29* angle. Not to mention the fact that we both adore Geminis & are in those awesome Taurus Woman/Gemini Man relationships.DIdn't you have the Venus conjunction w/ your man's Sun as well, and the Venus trine Pluto in synastry?------------------ S:Taurus ASC:Gemini M:Scorpio ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2007 Solar Return: S:Taurus ASC:Virgo M:Gemini IP: Logged |

Wow, Moondreamer81! The coincidences just keeping coming. And yep we do have Venus trine Pluto, but not Venus conjunct sun (it's Venus/Venus and Venus/Mercury) - the orb is slightly too wide for the sun conjunction, but if we're including very wide orbs then yes (although I think it's best to stay within 5 degrees for personal planets). His sun is conjunct my DC though.IP: Logged |
