The ruler of my 7th house is Libra. I have both Saturn and Pluto in the 7th house in Libra. Too bad, I don't like Libras.

My friend turned me on to this when she looked at my synastry .
Taurus is on my 7th house cusp with my Gemini Venus in the 7th house.
I need a man with a strong Venus.I need beauty and grace in a man,not so much physical beauty but a beauty of spirit.

The ruler of 7th house is Taurus. No planets here. Except from beauty, Taureans are not on my taste. I find them boring. But I like Leos and I think that is because the ruler of my seventh house is Venus and this planet has Leo.

I've been wondering about this. I would be interested to hear what coffee has to say...

So, the sign on the house is important yes, but so is it's ruler - yes? I would like to explore how to interpet for more practise.

Eg, my descendant is Cancer, so, attracting cancer-like partners, or, behaving cancer-like in relationship to others. Pretty straight forward.

But, the ruler, the Moon, is is Libra, in the 10th. This is kind of where it gets foggy for me. Especially when interpreting elements that are quite different - say, Cancer on the descendent, ruler (moon) in Virgo, in the 9th. Gets foggy.

Any examples? I would like to hear how others go with this. Anymore to share about our descendant signs + rulers, and houses.

Has this been apparent in your life have you noticed?

As someone else noted, I also have had people drop in on my 7th house that are interested in me, but me not them. The way I have rationalised this, is, it's like they can see objectively into your character and know instinctively what you are missing for balance, or, where your blind spots are.

I have cancer on the descendant, but no water in my chart. I am an Aqua, I don't think i could ever stay long term with a cancer. Instead, I do what I can to incorporate my descendant's nature more consciously into my psyche

I have 7th in Gemini, and Mercury in Virgo in the 8th. I am REALLY into guys that can be silent, but not the rude anti-social silent, the sweet/strong/silent. But I need chatter too, I guess that's the Gem part.
I tend to crush on Scorpio, Pisces guys, but ALWAYS (except one time but it didn't really count) end up with Capricorn (South Node).

You're right Bearee; your partner could definitely have some Sagittarius traits. They'd also most likely have Martian traits (obviously) since you have Aries on the Descendant. With your H7 ruler ending up in the 9th, this adds a double-dose of fire to your desired partner.

This placement for your H7 ruler could also increase the chances of you having a partner from a totally different culture and/or background than you. You look in relationships for something new, adventurous and never dull... yet at the same time with Mars in Cancer you need to feel nurtured and fulfilled emotionally with most partners.

So you'd want to tone down the 'roaming to expand' aspect a bit with Mars in Cancer. You need in a union to feel like you can explore yet still have a place to return to, to be loved and to love. I think this might lessen the roaming factor; the roaming in search of your 'perfect' partner that could come with your 7H ruler in the 9th. Do you think that's true for you?

My 7th house ruler is Uranus .. my uranus in Capricorn is in 5th house so as Mercury and Neptune but others say is closely near my 6th house so you can say a cusp.
I guess i will be attracted to Leo type or Virgo or both. So i figure i will be attracted to showy and full of life type of guy with a mixture or virgo traits probably clean cut and technology geek like me lol.

I have Venus in Pisces in my 7th house to but i don't know how that works out.

My descendant's in Cancer. Moon's in Virgo in the 8th.
Leo is intercepted in the 7th & the Sun's in Sagittarius in the 11th.

Hmmm...I'm certainly not attracted to Cancerian types. I prefer men with Leonine, Virgoan & Scorpio traits.

My Descendant is in Gemini, so the ruler of my 7th is Mercury in the 11th.

My Mercury is actually not very well aspected, but it isn't afflicted either. It's trine Saturn and square Mars. I have a vicious inner temper which leads me to say terrible things sometimes, and bad nerves (though I valiantly hide this from other people until I explode...).

I guess this leads me to seek out people who are Mercurial and serious in nature as friends. I feel this is true for me. I can't stand having friends or romantic partners who act in a shallow manner, and only care about the superficial in life. I usually get along best with people who think in a unique way (11th house influence?) but think deeply (Saturn trine I'm guessing). Romantically I can be very attracted to the Gemini that is on the more intense side, versus lighthearted... but one who still has a soft side for me.

Cool! I'm glad I could help. Yeah, the Descendant and its ruler has a lot to do with who you will end up strongly attracted to, but the 8th house and its ruler could also play a definite part in attraction. I am most attracted to Cancer, Gemini (& sometimes Virgo) Pisces and Aquarius; my 8th house ruler is in the 9th in Virgo, my Descendant is in Gemini and the ruler of the 7th is in H11 of Aquarius and trine Pisces Saturn. I think that's why I usually feel attraction to those signs! So I also take into account the 8th house when I think of attraction, but the 7th is usually first and foremost important.

7th house ruler is Moon, which is in the 3rd house of communication. My first boyfriend [and I'm still with him] is a Cancer and we've been together for 9 months now. His 7th house is ruled by Aries, and thank god he did not attract one of those assertive, dominate, masculine, active type of women instead of me. lol.
