that's interesting that you've both brought up saturn. I'm a beginner in astrology so forgive me but what significance does saturn play in synastry? I also noticed that my saturn conjuncts his in scorpio at exactly 15.15 degrees, however mine is in retrograde. What does this retrograde symbolize and how does it, and the fact that our saturns are conjunct, pertain to us in real life? Is it bad?? (As you can see I'm quite naïve.)

Saturn is a planet that has to do with structure, discipline, security, commitment, maturity, responsibility,
seriousness,practicalness,grounding

Saturn is exalted in the relationship sign,Libra

in challenging aspects, Saturn is restriction, limitation, blockage, control, pessimism,
depression

Some astrologers say that Saturn is very karmic and that it can be about heavy lessons and testing

here is interpretation
Sun conjunct Saturn which I have in synastry with my being Sun and her being Saturn

Sun conjunct Saturn
This is a very difficult aspect between charts. There may be jealousy, or a dampening of self-confidence and enthusiasm. This comparative combination does not favor romantic relationships because of the heavy authoritarian implications. However, when aspects do form in spite of this aspect, the staying power of Saturn usually helps keep you together permanently.

here is interpretation of Moon trine Saturn
with me being Moon and her being Saturn

Moon trine Saturn
This comparative combination is helpful for cooperation in serious responsibilities, business matters, and domestic affairs. It is not an indicator of romantic attractions, but it certainly improves the durability of a relationship by conferring a practical, responsible approach to everyday issues and problems. You may tend to rely on each other for security or stability. Saturn tends to be the restraining or disciplining influence in the relationship. http://www.astrology-numerology.com/synastryaspects.html

I am actually very attracted to my girlfriend because of her Saturn traits. Her maturity also makes it easy to forget that she's almost 12 years my junior. I am thinking that with a junior person as the Saturn person, it might actually decrease the senior person's potential to act like the senior and that they be at the same level. That's how it is for my girlfriend and me. She and I are both very strong in Saturn influence. She and I are attracted to each other's Saturn traits like reserve, discipline, structure, responsibility, seriousness,
practical. We both have obligations to our mothers and we like that about each other reflected by us having both Moon-Saturn aspects(me - square, she - conjunction) She and I both don't smoke, drink, nor use drugs nor go out and party. We both don't care for socializing.

I vote for moon/SUN especially conjunctions

but I'd go with venus/ mars or mars /sun if the sun is the female, mars the male.
